A service scheme for the efficient digital contents distribution in mobile environments (모바일 환경에서 효율적 디지털 콘텐츠 유통을 위한 서비스 방법)

  • We use PKI technology for the digital content distribution in mobile environment. Encoding method is used TtipleDES and digital signature is used RSA. For the efficient methods and processes to the digital content distribution, we proposed the mechanism which consists of the sequential steps including the digital contents encoding step, rights management information signature step, and interconnection steps. As a result of this study, we propose the efficient and safe processes for the mobile content distribution environment.

Business Ethics, Countermeasures, and Transnational Trends: A Focus on Distribution Corporations

  • Purpose - This study aims to eradicate and halt the continuous life cycle of corruption. Only when ethical management policies are implemented can the business ethics system be effective and transparent. Research design, data, and methodology - The analyses and legislative measures designed by these organizations and countries were based on solid research, uncovered during my visits and interviews conducted with businessmen in those countries. Results - The main focus of in this study is as follows: First, to introduce the programs of UN, OECD, OAS, USA, and Asian countries noted for business ethics and transparency policies; Second, to define each function and problem of these countries' anti-corruption systems, including the U.S. federal government, and to examine Chinese trends. Conclusions - Ethical managements are necessary to improve business ethics. This study suggests four related areas for the purpose of discouraging bribery and corruption; these are improving global corporate governance standards, increasing financial transparency, improving good governance in the public service of the OECD member countries, and focusing on not only the supply side but also the demand side of the corruption market.

Attribute based User Authentication for Contents Distribution Environments

  • In digital contents distribution environments, a user authentication is an important security primitive to allow only authenticated user to use right services by checking the validity of membership. For example, in Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) environments, it is required to provide an access control according to the policy of content provider. Remote user authentication and key agreement scheme is used to validate the contents accessibility of a user. We propose a novel user authentication scheme using smart cards providing a secure access to multimedia contents service. Each user is authenticated using a subset of attributes which are issued in the registration phase without revealing individual's identity. Our scheme provides the anonymous authentication and the various permissions according to the combination of attributes which are assigned to each user. In spite of more functionality, the result of performance analysis shows that the computation and communication cost is very low. Using this scheme, the security of contents distribution environments in the client-server model can be significantly improved.

Estimation of Probability Distribution of Fatigue Lives in Crank Throw Forged Steel (크랭크스로 단조강의 피로수명의 확률분포 추정)

  • Because of the severe service environment of the large marine vessel, the fatigue strength and its evaluation play an important role in design and maintenance of marine crankshaft. The aim of this work is to investigate the probability distribution of fatigue lives in crank throw forged steel and to develop the methodology for estimation of the probabilistic design fatigue strength. Detailed studies were performed on the constant amplitude axial loading fatigue test. The experiments were controlled by stress ratio of -1 and 15Hz frequency for each stress level. The considerable variability of fatigue life was observed in each stress level under rigidly controlled constant fatigue testing conditions. The fatigue life of crank throw forged steel was well followed the log-normal and Weibull distribution. In addition, it can be used for the estimation of probabilistic design fatigue strength by using the proposed methodology.

  • Pattern matching is increasingly being employed in various researches as health care service, RFID-based system, facility management, and surveillance. Geosensor filter correlates a data stream to match specific patterns in distribution environments. In this paper, we present a geosensor query language to represent efficiently declarative geosensor query. Geosensor operators are proposed to use for fast query processing in terms of spatial and temporal area in distribution environments. We also propose a geosensor filter to match new query predicates into incoming stream predicates. Our filter can reduce the volume of transmission data and save power consumption of sensors. It can be utilized the stream data mining system to process in real-time various data as location, time, and geosensor information in distribution environments.

Changes of Distribution Coefficients of Cu, Cr, and As in Different Soil Matrix in a Laboratory Scale

  • Chromated copper arsenate (CCA), a long history of successful preservative, have raised environmental concerns. Adsorption characteristics of domestic soils for chromium, copper, and arsenic were assessed by measuring distribution coefficient ($K_d$) values of these metal components in a laboratory scale. The results revealed that $K_d$ values were higher in chromium, followed by arsenic and copper in soil matrix. Different soil matrixes resulted in varying mobilities of CCA components. The values of $K_d$ for all three metals increased with organic matter contents. The results suggest that the mobility of metal components may be very limited to the surface area adjacent to CCA-treated wood due to their fairly large distribution coefficient ($K_d$). However, the metal components would be persistent and accumulated in the soil, resulting in high chemical concentration in service area of treated wood.

  • The Natural Resource Conservation Service Curve Number(NRCS-CN) method is one of the widely used methods for computation of runoff from a basin. However, NRCS-CN method has weak point in that the spatial land use distribution characteristics are ignored by using area weighted CN value. This study developed a program which can estimate runoff by considering spatial distribution of CN and flow accumulation at the outlet of the watershed by appling Moglen's method. Comparisons between the results from NRCS-CN method and this study showed good agreement with measured data of experimental watersheds. The developed program predicted lower runoff than the conventional NRCS-CN method. As a conclusion, this study proposes a new design direction which can simulate real runoff phenomena. And the developed program could be applied into runoff minimization design for a basin development.

  • When a fault occurs on distribution network. blackout region may happen, then it should be restored as fast as possible to minimize interruption of electric service. In this paper. A near optimal method to restore distribution network is proposed. For an optimal restoration, the number or switching operations must be minimized. The proposed method generates a general restoration plan for any distribution network fault and designed to reduce switching operations considering available load transfers. In this method overall process time can reduce with heuristic rules, which make a reduction of search space before restoration process. To achieve a near optimal solution, multiple load transfer algorithm is proposed too.

  • In this paper we propose an approximation analysis for the system size distribution of the M/G/c system which is transform-free,. At first we borrow the system size distribution from the Markovian service models and then introduce a newly defined parameter in place of traffic intensity. In this step we find the distribution of the number of customers up to c. Next we concentrate on each waiting space of the queue separately rather than consider the entire queue as a whole. Then according to the system state of the arrival epoch we induce the probability distribution of the system size recursively. We discuss the effectiveness of this approximation method by comparing with simulation for the mean system size.

This paper's goal that these study finding leads as digital contents industry discusses individual enterprise's success and failure as field of business in quickening period yet but domestic digital contents industry field will be roared and may can have competitive power by enterprises which wish to already started business or inaugurate an enterprise enter in field with successful beginning and direction and develop continuously.
