Unbundled power quality service is paid much attention under the circumstances of deregulation and diversification of needs of customers for quality and price of electric power. Moreover, distributed generators (DGs) such as photovoltaic generations and wind turbines will be introduced to distribution system more and more, and reverse flow of active power has possibility to cause new problems in the distribution system such as voltage rise of distribution line and protection problem. Flexible, Reliable and Intelligent Electrical eNergy Delivery System, which is called FRIENDS, has been proposed as one of promising distribution system for such requirements, and intensive studies are under way. One of features of the system is introducing Quality Control Center (QCC) into the system for unbundled power quality service and easy installation of DGs. Two types of QCCs for such purposes are proposed, and simulation results are shown in this paper.
Purpose - There is little research on the market of foreign infant education materials. So, it is needed to deeply examine the development and preference factors of foreign infant education materials. Therefore, this study presents a future method and model for analyzing the important variables of buying foreign infant education materials. Research design, data, and methodology - The conjoint analysis method and model of this paper is used as follows. Conjoint analysis method is possible to derive the attributes to be analyzed through the model of the preferred factors, and then to derive the sub-attributes of the attributes. Results - This study derived preference attributes between brand benefit, equity (brand image, loyalty, awareness), distribution network (department store, specialty stores, discount store, internet mall), and service quality (tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy) in infant education materials conjoint model. Conclusions - Since the opening of the education market in Korea, parents have a high education level due to low birth rate. The advantages of the conjoint analysis method have been extended to the study of infant education materials. Based on this, this paper will identify important attributes that are considered in preference of foreign infant education materials and help to establish and implement future marketing strategies.
This analysis is accomplished by using 331 rescue and medical evacuation cases performed by KangWonDo Fire Service Department Aviation(KFSA-119 Heicopters) between Jan. 1998 and Oct. 2002. By analysing injury causes, annual differences, sexual, scenic(locaional) distribution and wounded part distribution, this study tried to figure out the general tendency of the helicopter-transported patients in Korea. The results are as follows; 1. The whole population of the patients rescued and transported by helicopters is increasing by the annual rate of 150%~200%. 2. For the locational (scenic) distribution of the patients, 57% (190 cases) of the target population were injured on their mountain-climbing or tracking. 3. 12% (41 cases) of the target population were the Inter-Hospital transport cases. 4. 6% (16 cases) were the expired cases. 5. for the wounded part distribution, 46% (106 cases) were muscular skeletal injuries. 6. The aircraft and personnel of the KFSA were rescue-oriented, so for the EMS operations especially inter-hospital transport missions, different medical equipments and personnels are needed.
In this paper, we introduce a roots method that uses the roots inside the unit circle of the associated characteristics equation to evaluate the steady-state system-length distribution at three epochs (pre-arrival, arbitrary, and post-departure) and sojourn-time distribution in GI/PH/1 queueing model. It is very important for an air base to inspect airplane oil because low-quality oil leads to drop or breakdown of an airplane. Since airplane oil inspection is composed of several inspection steps, it sometimes causes train congestion and delay of inventory replenishments. We analyzed interarrival time and inspection (service) time of oil supply from the actual data which is given from one of the ROKAF's (Republic of Korea Air Force) bases. We found that interarrival time of oil follows a normal distribution with a small deviation, and the service time follows phase-type distribution, which was first introduced by Neuts to deal with the shortfalls of exponential distributions. Finally, we applied the GI/PH/1 queueing model to the oil train congestion problem and analyzed the distributions of the number of customers (oil trains) in the queue and their mean sojourn-time using the roots method suggested by Chaudhry for the model GI/C-MSP/1.

Purpose: This article aims to investigate the influence of pricing and distribution on the level of satisfaction and purchase decisions among consumers of pharmaceutical products in Kazakhstan. Research design, data, and methodology: A mixed-methods research design was utilized, incorporating primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through a survey administered to customers across various pharmacy types, with 100 valid responses analyzed. Secondary data involved an extensive review of existing literature and analysis of national statistics concerning the pharmaceutical market trends from 2008 to 2022. Results: The results reveal a complex relationship between price perceptions and customer satisfaction. A significant segment of the population views current drug prices as high, which affects their satisfaction levels and purchase decisions. The study also highlights the importance of service quality in enhancing customer satisfaction, suggesting that service improvements could mitigate some of the negative perceptions of pricing. Conclusions: This research contributes to the limited but growing body of knowledge on the impact of pricing strategies on consumer satisfaction in the pharmaceutical sectors of developing countries like Kazakhstan. Focusing on economic and behavioral aspects, this study provides a more holistic understanding of the factors driving consumer satisfaction and purchase behaviors in this critical sector.
Purpose - This study analyzes the effect of customers' perceived service innovativeness of service centers for electronic goods, on repurchase intentions of customers, using behavior intentions of service centers as a mediator variable. In customer management and customer relationship marketing, service centers can be the most representative customer relationship management departments because they are most closely placed at the interface with customers. In addition, this study intends to investigate if continuous relationship with customers during one-time product-selling can affect their repurchase intentions. Specifically, this research aims to investigate if the expansion of the saturated physical market of the manufacturing business, to intangible service markets, can be competitive enough to satisfy customer needs. Research design, data, and methodology - This study targets college students, and especially those who have computers, digital cameras, or cell-phones, and often use electronic products and services. In order to investigate our hypothesis, we analyzed dates through SEM (structural equation modeling) using SPSS for Windows 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. In addition, we measured Cronbach's α coefficient using SPSS for Windows 18.0 in order to measure reliability. Further, using AMOS 18.0, this research statistically measured convergent validity as well as discriminant validity, and examined mediation models and path models in which service innovativeness leads to customers' repurchase intentions of electronic products. Results - As a result, this research shows that customers' perceived service innovativeness of service centers for electronic goods has significant positive influence on customers' behavior intentions of service centers. In addition, service innovativeness of electronic goods' service centers also has significant positive influence on repurchase intentions of customers. Conclusion - This study investigates the effect of customers' positive relation with the innovativeness of electronic service center on their behavior intention and product repurchase. The more concrete, important results of the study are as follows. Through the mediating effect, the findings of the study suggest that customers' behavior intentions of service centers partially mediate the effect of customers'perceived service innovativeness of service centers for electronic goods on customers' repurchase intentions. This research also provides an insight that the importance of service innovativeness and innovative approaches in managing customers should be recognized in the process of repurchase and service roles of manufacturing business as a way for customer management. As a result, the relationship between customer satisfaction and service quality of service centers for the electronic products is very sensitive. Although previous studies focus on certain aspects of the case for enhancing service innovation (Kim, 2012), this research recommends that the service centers need to understand the customers'desire first and try to adapt to achieve customer satisfaction by being innovative. This innovativeness of service centers would make customers visit them consistently, which in the long run, will also influence their repurchase decisions.
Purpose - Open source software has high utilization in most of the server market. The utilization of open source software is a global trend. Particularly, Internet infrastructure and platform software open source software development has increased rapidly. Since 2003, the Korean government has published open source software promotion policies and a supply promotion policy. The dynamism of the open source software market, the lack of relevant expertise, and the market transformation due to reasons such as changes in the relevant technology occur slowly in relation to adoption. Therefore, this study proposes an assessment model of services provided in an open source software service company. In this study, the service level of open source software companies is classified into an enterprise-level assessment area, the service level assessment area, and service area. The assessment model is developed from an on-site driven evaluation index and proposed evaluation framework; the evaluation procedures and evaluation methods are used to achieve the research objective, involving an impartial evaluation model implemented after pilot testing and validation. Research Design, data, and methodology - This study adopted an iteration development model to accommodate various requirements, and presented and validated the assessment model to address the situation of the open source software service company. Phase 1 - Theoretical background and literature review Phase 2 - Research on an evaluation index based on the open source software service company Phase 3 - Index improvement through expert validation Phase 4 - Finalizing an evaluation model reflecting additional requirements Based on the open source software adoption case study and latest technology trends, we developed an open source software service concept definition and classification of public service activities for open source software service companies. We also presented open source software service company service level measures by developing a service level factor analysis assessment. The Behavior-Structure-Evolution Evaluation Model (BSEM) proposed in this study consisted of a rating methodology for calculating the level that can be granted through the assessment and evaluation of an enterprise-level data model. An open source software service company's service comprises the service area and service domain, while the technology acceptance model comprises the service area, technical domain, technical sub-domain, and open source software name. Finally, the evaluation index comprises the evaluation group, category, and items. Results - Utilization of an open source software service level evaluation model For the development of an open source software service level evaluation model, common service providers need to standardize the quality of the service, so that surveys and expert workshops performed in open source software service companies can establish the evaluation criteria according to their qualitative differences. Conclusion - Based on this evaluation model's systematic evaluation process and monitoring, an open source software service adoption company can acquire reliable information for open source software adoption. Inducing the growth of open source software service companies will facilitate the development of the open source software industry.

This study aimed to investigate the mechanism by which service companies transfer their services overseas and create new value while interacting with local characteristics. A narrative analysis method was used in a case study of Ajisen Ramen, a Japanese service company that created a Japanese-style ramen restaurant, which experienced rapid growth in China. This study analyzed the restaurant as global service innovation and constructed a causal mechanism to explain the resulting rapid growth. In the pre-entry stage, the tangible value source core service facilitated its successful overseas transfer. In the post-entry stage, value source core service standardization and value sharing were interrelated and locally accepted factors. Knowledge of the local characteristics influenced the local storefront format that allowed contact with local customers. This local front format made it possible to offer local customers new value. The global service innovation mechanism developed through this study reflects a causal diagram that correlated the theoretical concepts of these events.
The impacts of guideline for digestives on physicians' prescription of GI medication Clinical practice guidelines provide benefits to physicians, patients, and researchers. It also helps doctors to make decisions in medical services. In many countries, practice guidelines lead to activities of quality improvement and are developed using evidence based methods. This research was to assess the impacts of Korean Medical Association's guideline for digestives on the change of physicians' behavior. This study was progressed as one-group pre-test post-test quasi-experimental design using health insurance claims data. The unit of analysis was institution. Data was analyzed using paired t-test for change of prescription rate before and after the distribution of practice guidelines. And the multiple regression analysis was performed to examine the independent impact of the guideline on the prescribing rate of GI medication. Prescription rates of GI medication per claim by medical institution increased significantly, 1.98%point (from 50.27% to 52.25%) and multivariate regression analysis showed significant increase in the prescription rate of GI medication after the distribution of guideline (p<0.001). In conclusion, the distribution of guideline for digestive might not have the effects on the change in provider's behavior. Furthermore, to activate the use of practice guideline, it would be necessary to educate the contents to physicians as well as to develop practice guideline.
