  • Recently, Increase of energy consumption is continued accordingly because economy is constant growth. so we need long term of energy supply stability and develop new energy source. The effort of environmental improvement is necessary and our country has to educe conservatory gas in these situation, our energy policy is summarized that minimizes energy consumption and uses kinds of energy source. This paper studied some effort of stability that distributed generation put in electric system through line fault, sudden load change. And then this paper calculated penetrated level of distributed generation in system transient stability.

  • In this paper, a theoretical analysis of a wide band distributed mixer using a dual-gate GaAs MESFET's(DGFET) is introduced. Based on low noise mixer mode(LNM) region modeling of DGFET, variation of g/sub m/ and conversion gain are presented versus bias. The distributed mixer is composed of drain and gate transmission line, m-derived image impedance matching circuits at each input and output port, and DGFET's. Through computer simulation, wide-band characteristics of designed distributed mixer are confirmed. And, it is certificated that LO/RF isolation between gate 1 and gate 2 is obtained more than 15dB.

  • This paper presents a mathematical approach to implementing distributed optimal power flow (OPF), wherein a regional decomposition technique is adopted to parallelize the OPF. Three mathematical decomposition coordination methods are introduced firs to implement the proposed distributed scheme: the Auxiliary Problem Principle (APP), the Predictor-Corrector Proximal Multiplier Method (PCPM), and the Alternating Direction Method (ADM). Then two alternative schemes for modeling distributed OPF are introduced; the Dummy Generator-Dummy Generator (DGDG) scheme and Dummy Generator-Dummy Load (DGDL) scheme. We present the mathematical analyses of the proposed approach, and demonstrate the approach on several test, systems, including IEEE Reliability Test Systems and parts of the ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas) system.

  • For 24 hours-7 days service on distributed systems, a great deal of efforts are investigated on high availability for seamless operation. In this paper, we propose a dynamic reconfiguration framework of distributed systems, called "hot-swapping" framework. This framework allows us to upgrade and exchange a number of modules of a distributed system without stopping running service as well as the system itself. In order to hide the state of service operation, the framework employes the "proxy" design pattern. Our framework provides two types of proxies: a static proxy and a dynamic proxy, Static proxies can achieve fast execution time, but they need to be changed whenever any minor change exists in the related swappable module. Meanwhile, dynamic proxies takes longer execution time, but do not need to be changed under minor changes of swappable modules. We compare performances of static and dynamic proxies and also apply the framework to a real situation with security management modules. management modules.

  • This paper presents the operation of Fuel Cell Distributed Generation(FCDG) systems in distribution systems. Hence, modeling, controller design, and simulation study of a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell(SOFC) distributed generation(DG) system are investigated. The physical model of the fuel cell stack and dynamic models of power conditioning units are described. Then, suitable control architecture based on fuzzy logic and the neural network for the overall system is presented in order to activate power control and power quality improvement. A MATLAB/Simulink simulation model is developed for the SOFC DG system by combining the individual component models and the controllers designed for the power conditioning units. Simulation results are given to show the overall system performance including active power control and voltage regulation capability of the distribution system.

  • CPS (cyber-physical systems) which consists of connected and diverse embedded systems and physical systems are a new paradigm. Traditional systems were usually considered to be passive and dumb parts in physical systems, but with CPS, we have to take into account what are being moved or changed in the physical systems. So, as increasing the complexity of CPS, potential errors in the systems also increase. In this paper, for enhancing the reliability of CPS, we exploit an executable-model-based design methodology and propose a distributed simulation method to verify the design of CPS. For the design of the systems including discrete and continuous factors, we apply DEV&DESS formalism and simulate models in distributed simulation environments through DDS middleware. We also illustrate the applications of CPS with our modeling tool.

  • For CALS environment, sharing information among business processes within the enterprise and between enterprises have been increased through common database. To support integrated data environment, data of the local legacy system must coincide with data of the global system to guarantee data integrity and transparency. This study is concerned with the implementation of this distributed database system under CALS environment. Based on existing IDEF methods, we developed a modified method which newly includes concepts of the enterprise structure, the integration of legacy databases, the distribution of data, and the distributed applications .

  • This paper considers a network restoration algorithm for all-optical WDM networks. As the increasing traffic and transmission speed, any failure on the networks will lead to loss of huge data and disruption of the services. Therefore, a network restoration algorithm is necessary for the high-speed all-optical networks. This paper suggests a distributed restoration algorithm for line or channel level failures under the dynamic rerouting. For the algorithm, some measures for performance evaluation are explicitly derived and simulation studies are exploited to evaluate its usability by SLAM(Simulation Language for Alternative Modeling) II.

  • The requirement of distributed multimedia applications is the need for sophisticated QoS(quality of service) management. In terms of distributed multimedia systems, the most important catagories for quality of service are a timeless, volume, and reliability. In this paper, we discuss a method for increasing reliability through fault tolerance. We describe the desist and implementation of the ERA running on distributed multimedia environment ERA is a system is able to recover automatically a software error based on distributed multimedia. This paper explains a performance analysis of an error recovery system running on distributed multimedia environment using the rule-based DEVS modeling and simulation techniques. In DEVS, a system has a time base, inputs, states, outputs, and functions.
