회전자유도를 갖는 혼합 4절점 쉘요소의 특성 (Characteristics of a Hybrid 4-Node Shell Element with Drilling Degrees of Freedom)

  • In order to analyze shell structures more accurately and effectively, a hybrid 4-node quadrilateral shell element is formulated. The element includes the frilling degrees of freedom and the independent parameter terms of the stress resultants are appropriately selected to overcome some of the shortcomings of the standard 4-node quadrilateral elements. In order to show the accuracy and convergent characteristics of the proposed shell element, three numerical examples are analyzed and the results are compared with the existed. As a result of this study, following conclusions are obtained. (1)Analysis results by the proposed element are less sensitive to the element geometric distortion. (2)The proposed element does not produce any spurious zero-energy modes

Coherence Studies of Photons Emitted from a Single Terrylene Molecule Using Michelson and Young’s Interferometers

  • Coherence length (time) is a key parameter in many classical and quantum optical applications. Two interferometers – Michelson and Young’s double-slit – are used to characterize the temporal coherence of single photons emitted from single terrylene molecules. For quantitative analysis, a dispersion-related distortion in the interference pattern of a Michelson interferometer is carefully corrected by a simple dispersion compensation. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that Young’s interferometer can be used in temporal coherence studies at the single photon level with high accuracy. The pros and cons of the two systems are discussed. The measured coherence lengths in the two systems are consistent with one another under the self-interference interpretations.

  • LSP(Line Spectrum Pairs) Parameter is used for speech analysis in vocoders or recognizers since it has advantages of constant spectrum sensitivity. low spectrum distortion and easy linear interpolation. However the method of transforming LPC(Linear Predictive Coding) into LSP is so complex that it takes much time to compute. Among conventional methods, the real root method is considerably simpler than others, but nevertheless, it still suffers from its jndeterministic computation time because the root searching is processed sequentially in frequency region. We suggest a method of reducing the LSP transformation time using voice characteristics The proposed method is to apply search order and interval differently according to the distribution of LSP parameters. in comparison with the conventional real root method, the proposed method results in about 46.5% reduction. And, the total computation time is reduce to about 5% in the G.723.1 vocoder.

  • This paper examines the application of high voltage static var compensator(SVC) with cascade multilevel inverter which employs H-bridge inverter(HBI). This method has the primary advantage that the number of voltage levels can be increased for a given number of semiconductor devices when compared to the conventional control methods. The SVC system is modeled using the d-q transform which calculates the instantaneous reactive power. This model is used to design a controller and analyze the SVC system. From the mathematical model of the system, the design procedures of the circuit parameters L and C are presented in this thesis. To meet the specific total harmonic distortion(THD) and ripple factor of the capacitor voltage, the circuit parameters L and C are designed. Simulated and experimental results are also presented and discussed to validate the proposed schemes.

  • When the high-speed train running on the track, there is a speed band which track distortion is unusually increased according to the condition of track and roadbed. This speed is called critical velocity and physical parameter value increased greatly. These phenomenon happened as high-speed train were developed, studied regularly through TGV 100 running test in France. As research result until now, the main reason is soft roadbed's capacity. Wave propagation and track support capacity is varied by the site characteristics. This paper achieved theoretical examination about resonance band(speed and frequency) that occurred in roadbed on the base rock in point of geotechnical engineering. The examination of resonance divides with ground response analysis, critical band analysis by the shear wave velocity of roadbed, train critical speed through the ground stratum.

  • This paper presents a new sensorless vector control system for high performance induction motor drives fed by a matrix converter with non-linearity compensation and disturbance observer. The nonlinear voltage distortion that is caused by commutation delay and on-state voltage drop in switching device is corrected by a new matrix converter modeling. The lumped disturbances such as parameter variation and load disturbance of the system are estimated by the radial basis function network (RBFN). An adaptive observer is also employed to bring better responses at the low speed operation. Experimental results are shown to illustrate the performance of the proposed system.

  • In this paper, The vehicle's path construction method for motorized wheelchair's autonomous navigation in a building through analysis of a corridor image using vision system has been proposed and We detected lines of vertical axis through camera distortion parameter, which was measured by camera calibration in a corridor image. Then we got the feature points in the lines. We analyzed the distance of feature points and what is feature points. we reconstructed corridor image to vehicle's path.

  • In this paper, we present a video rate control scheme for storage and delivery in which the time-varying viewing interests are controlled by human gaze. To track the gaze, the pupil's movement is detected using the three-step process : detecting face region, eye region, and pupil point. To control bit rates, the quantization parameter (QP) is changed by considering the static parameters, the video object priority derived from the pupil tracking, the target PSNR, and the weighted distortion value of the coder. As results, we achieved human interfaced visual model and corresponding region-of-interest rate control system.
