There is so much difference in the way we perceive nature whether from eastern or western, present or past standpoint. however, awareness of coexistence between human beings and nature along with the concept that the most natural is th e most beautiful remain unchanged. The desire to describe the beauty of nature have existed all through the ages, but the (new) naturalism movement was spawned in our time when so much devastation and side effects took place for the expediency of nature, and field of display has been trying new interpretation of nature with direct or applied method. Naturalism trend is studied using the categories such as relationship between human and nature, space concept in western and eastern society, and the definition of view of nature in modern time. Elements of naturalism display are classified into the element of physical properties and element beyond the physical properties, and then methodology on naturalism display is investigated, using the illustration of display examples, in order to know the most essential elements of display, which are the physical properties such as space, light, object, glass, are expressed based on the elemental concept like nature, an accident, dynamic state, variability. As mentioned above, Naturalism display consists of physical properties and phenomenon. How to ive strong impression to a spectator depends on the ability to create effective space applying these elements. The significance of this study comes to surface in a time when the tremendous emphasis is put on the importance of nature and concerns about the role of display has become even greater.
This study examines the role of visual merchandising (VMD) in creating effective interior displays for fashion "select shops"(shops that carry a wide selection of brands) amid the recent changes in consumption trends, with consumer needs becoming increasingly individualized and diversified. Fashion select shop interior displays can be categorized as self-service, showcase, counter, and environmental display spaces. Regarding the VMD elements that contribute to effective interior displays, we reached the following conclusions. First, in self-service displays, in order to heighten sales efficacy, display elements should be presented in such a way as to enable customers to select products with ease by themselves. Second, the mere presence of showcase displays was found to be insufficient; if, however, select shops use showcase displays to arrange products according to the flow of customer traffic, enabling the creation of a gentrified atmosphere for products, this may contribute to a differentiated image of brands, heightening perceived product value. Third, in counter displays, having a harmonious arrangement of display and presentation elements promotes sales by inspiring customer confidence. Fourth, regarding environmental displays, it is important for stores to have attractive interior designs and decorations in order to reproduce settings in which products are actually used, as this can inspire interest in products and promote customers' purchasing intention.

A beautiful, flexible active-matrix electrophoretic display (AM-EPD) device is reported. The flexible AM-EPD device has a $40.0{\times}30.0\;mm^2$ display area, measures about 0.27 mm in thickness, weighs about 0.45 g and possesses only 20 external connections. The flexible AM-EPD device displays clear black-and-white images with 5 gray-scales on $160{\times}120$ pixels. The display is free from residual image problems, because we use an area-gray-scale method on $320{\times}240$ EPD elements, each of which is driven with binary signals. Each pixel consists of 4 EPD elements. In addition, since the response time of the electrophoretic material is as long as approximately 400 ms and since the display possesses a large number of EPD elements, we have developed a special driving method suitable for changing EPD images comfortably. A complete image is formed on the AM-EPD device, consisting of a reset frame and several, typically 6, image frames.
We challenge to use reactive mesogen optical elements which can be coated inside LC cell. The reactive mesogens as retarder barrier requirements can be achieved between a high performance 2D mode and a low cross talk stereoscopic 3D mode. The fabrication of a 10.1" diagonal LCD which co-operates with a polarizer to from a parallax barrier, is described. In addition, the parallax barrier of reactive mesogens can easily control in mass production and can thus be coated as extremely LC cell, significantly reducing the thickness of LCD. Finally, we have successed to design a switchable 2D/3D displays using reactive mesogen optical elements which can be achieved 3D displays within glasses.
Organic transistors are promising in the future development of active devices for flexible, low-cost and large-area photoelectric devices. However, conventional organic field-effect transistors have lowspeed, low-power, and relatively high operational voltage. Vertical type transistors show high-speed and high-current characteristics and are suitable for driver elements of flexible displays.
The Near to Eye Display (NED) solves the problem of having a display larger than a small portable device. The virtual image of the NED is created using a microdisplay and imaging optics. It is important that the optics does not interfere with the human visual system and that the device is light, compact and easy to wear. In this paper the principles of a biocular NED, which is based on a novel diffractive Exit Pupil Expander (EPE), are presented. The optical system is compact and intrinsically free from distortions and misalignments.

Diffractive Optical Elements(DOEs) diffracts incident light using the diffraction phenomenon of light to generate a desired diffraction image. In recent years, the use of diffraction optics, which can replace existing refractive optical elements with flat plates, has been increased by implementing various optical functions that could not be implemented in refractive optical devices and by becoming miniaturized and compacted optical elements. Direct laser lithography is typically used to effectively fabrication such a diffractive optical element in a large area with a low process cost. In this study, the process conditions for fabricating patterns of diffractive optical elements in various shapes were found using direct laser lithographic system, and optical performance evaluation was performed through fabrication.
The authors describe a 360 degree viewing display that can be viewed from any direction. To generate all-around 360 degree viewing window, we developed a sp ecial diffusion screen with one viewing aperture using holographic optical elements.

This study has developed a new system of character generator which is able to display more thats 14,364 different Korean characters by the 24 fundamental input elements. That is. in this system, all of the Korean characters are fomalized into 30 kinds of character forms (each having 70-980 characters), from which six form featuares are detacted to control and combine the fundamental input elements at their proper sizes and positions in a character frame. The device is very simple and all of the Korean characters can be displayed on CRT by the operation of only 24 input keys in good character quality.
In this paper, the geometrical properties of the optical system for Head Mounted Display (HMD) were investigated. Also, this work deals with the concept for an optical system design bated on Diffractive Optical Elements (DOE). In designing the optical system for HMD, it is considered that the optical system should have compact, high performance, and comfortable properties while user sees the picture. In order to satisfy these requirements, we applied DOE and aspheric surfaces to the lens so that correction of color and monochromatic aberrations could be obtained. Also, the design and evaluation for the optical system were carried out using the generalized model of the human eye. Finally, it was expected to fulfill all the requirements of an HMD system.
