차량용 에어컨 압축기가 실차 연비에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Effects of Compressor for Automotive Air Conditioning System on Fuel Economy)

  • 본 논문은 차량용 에어컨 압축기가 실차 연비에 미치는 영향에 대하여 실험적으로 연구한 것으로, 본 연구의 목적은 연비에 주요한 영향 인자인 압축기의 토출 용량별 구동 토크에 의한 실차 연비 기여도를 분석하는 것이다. 연비에 직접적인 영향을 주는 압축기의 부하를 측정하기 위하여 압축기 클러치에 직접 부착하는 토크 센서를 개발하였으며, 실차 평가전 벤치 토크 미터와의 비교 평가를 통하여 토크 센서의 신뢰성을 검증하였다. 토크 센서가 부착된 압축기를 장착한 차량을 환경 풍동에서 연비 측정을 할 수 있도록 장치를 구성한 상태에서 연비 평가를 수행하였다. 압축기의 토출 용량에 따른 구동 토크는 연비에 직접적인 영향을 주며, 동일 사양 압축기에서 토출 용량이 약 11% 커질 때 연비는 약 2~3% 악화됨을 알 수 있었다.

태양열 물펌프의 실험적 성능분석 (Experimental Analysis on the Performance of a Solar Powered Water Pump)

  • The solar powered water pump is very ideal equipment because solar power is more intensive when the water is more needed in summer and it is very helpful in the rural area, in which electrical power is not available. The average solar radiation power is $3.488\;kWh/(m^2{\cdot}day)$ in Korea. In this study, the experimental system of the water pump driven by the radiation energy were designed, assembled, tested and analyzed fur realizing the solar powered water pump. Energy conversion ken radiation energy to mechanical energy by using n-pentane as operating material was done and the water pumping cycles were able to be continued. The quantity of the water pumped per cycle ranged from 2 L to 10 L depending on the level of the valve open area far the vapour supply. The average quantity was about 4,366 cc. The thermal efficiency was about $0.018\%$. The pressure level of the n-pentane vapour in flash tank was about $110\~150\;kPa$ and that in the water tank was $93\~130\;kPa$. The pressure in the condenser during cycles was maintained as about 70 kPa. The condensation of the n-pentane vapour in the water tank was increased with the cycles even though the internal and external insulation were done. Air tank performance was better with increasing of the water piston displacement and the water could be pumped with the water piston displacement becoming higher than 6,500 cc.

  • 본 연구에서는 반능동형 감쇠기의 작동기준을 설정하고 그것의 타당성을 조사 하는 것이 주목적이어서 속도에 대한 고려는 제외하였다.이때 반능동형 감쇠계가 고정된 감쇠계수를 갖는 감쇠기로 구성된 계보다 얼마만큼 성능이 향상되며 능동형 감 쇠기(감쇠계수를 제한된 영역내에서 순간순간 조절하여 변화시킬 수 있는 감쇠기)를 갖는 계에 얼마만큼 접근하는가가 비교되어진다.

Free vibration characteristics of three-phases functionally graded sandwich plates using novel nth-order shear deformation theory

  • In this study, the authors investigate the free vibration behavior of three-phases functionally graded sandwich plates using a novel nth-order shear deformation theory. These plates are composed of a homogeneous core and two face-sheet layers made of different functionally graded materials. This is the novel type of the sandwich structures that can be applied in many fields of mechanical engineering and industrial. The proposed theory only requires four unknown displacement functions, and the transverse displacement does not need to be separated into bending and shear parts, simplifying the theory. One noteworthy feature of the proposed theory is its ability to capture the parabolic distribution of transverse shear strains and stresses throughout the plate's thickness while ensuring zero values on the two free surfaces. By eliminating the need for shear correction factors, the theory further enhances computational efficiency. Equations of motion are established using Hamilton's principle and solved via Navier's solution. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed theory are verified by comparing results with available solutions. The authors then use the proposed theory to investigate the free vibration characteristics of three-phases functionally graded sandwich plates, considering the effects of parameters such as aspect ratio, side-to-thickness ratio, skin-core-skin thicknesses, and power-law indexes. Through careful analysis of the free vibration behavior of three-phases functionally graded sandwich plates, the work highlighted the significant roles played by individual material ingredients in influencing their frequencies.

To solve these problems, several types of hybrid vehicles have been developed. Among them, flywheel hybrid vehicle using variable displacement pump/motor was already proposed as one of the feasible hybrid systems in place of hybrid vehicle by the conventional storage battery. The proposed flywheel hybrid vehicle is to keep constant pressure of high pressure line by the control of swash plate angle of flywheel pump/motor as pressure compensator. The efficiency of the overall system depends severely on the efficiency of hydraulic pump/motor in the energy saving hydraulic control system by simulation. According to the control methods of swash plate angle of piston pump/motor, there remain several problems to be solved. In this paper, experimental setup for energy saving is fabricated and the efficiency of energy saving is investigated by experiments with respect to various experimental conditions.

Performance test of 100 W linear compressor

  • In this paper, we present test results of developed 100 W class linear compressor for Stirling-type pulse tube refrigerator. The fabricated linear compressor has dual-opposed configuration, free piston and moving magnet type linear motor. Power transfer, efficiency and required pressure waveform are predicted with designed and measured specifications. In experiments, room temperature test with flow impedance is conducted to evaluate performance of developed linear compressor. Flow impedance is loaded to compressor with metering valve for flow resistance, inertance tube for flow inertance and buffer volumes for flow compliance. Several operating parameters such as input voltage, current, piston displacement and pressure wave are measured for various operating frequency and fixed input current level. Behaviors of dynamics and performance of linear compressor as varying flow impedance are discussed with measured experimental results. The developed linear compressor shows 124 W of input power, 86 % of motor efficiency and 60 % of compressor efficiency at its resonant operating condition.

프리캐스트 옹벽 마이크로 파일의 보강 효율 (Reinforcing Efficiency of Micro-Pile with Precast Retaining Wall)

  • 본 연구에서는 좁게 형성되는 프리캐스트 옹벽 배면에 상재하중을 재하 하였을 경우 마이크로파일의 수평저항 거동에 대한 설치 효율성을 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 확인하기 위한 수단으로 모형시험과 수치해석을 수행 하였다. 실내모형시험은 모형토조에 기초지반 조성 후 모형옹벽을 설치하였으며, 옹벽 배면에 상재하중을 재하 하여 마이크로파일의 설치간격 및 길이 등을 각각 변화시켜 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 보강된 마이크로파일이 프리캐스트 옹벽에 발생하는 수평방향 변형을 효과적으로 억제하는 것으로 나타났다. 마이크로파일의 간격을 좁게 설치하고 파일의 길이가 길어질수록 보강효율이 증가하는 경향을 보이며, 파일의 길이가 0.5H 설치간격은 7D에서 최적의 보강효율을 나타내는 것으로 평가되었다.

Numerical comparison of bearing capacity of tapered pile groups using 3D FEM

  • This study investigates the behavior of group of tapered and cylindrical piles. The bearing capacities of groups of tapered and cylindrical piles are computed and compared. Modeling of group of piles in this study is conducted in sand using three-dimensional finite element software. For this purpose, total bearing capacity of each group is firstly calculated using the load-displacement curve under specific load and common techniques. Then, the model of group of piles is reloaded under this calculated capacity to find group settlements, stress states on the lateral surfaces of group block, efficiency of group and etc. In order to calculate the efficiency of each group, single tapered and cylindrical piles are modeled separately. Comparison for both tapered and cylindrical group of piles with same volume is conducted and a relation to predict tapered pile group efficiency is developed. A parametric study is also performed by changing parameters such as tapered angle, angle of internal friction of sand, dilatancy angle of soil and coefficient of lateral earth pressure to find their influences on single pile and pile group behavior.
