  • Asbestos is a building material that has been actively used because of its excellent durability and heat resistance until 2009, when it was found to be a first-class carcinogen and prohibited in Korea. Currently, asbestos dismantling is an essential process in demolition of old buildings. Workers are likely to be exposed to asbestos in the process of dismantling and removing them, which causes various occupational diseases, suggesting related laws and work standards to ensure the safety of asbestos dismantling process. Accordingly, prior studies have been conducted to analyze the level of asbestos exposure and influencing factors occurring during work, but most of them are mainly concerning health issue while research on process risks considering field characteristics and safety aspects of the work processes is still insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to derive the process risks affecting the safety of workers based on the survey results of asbestos dismantling companies, and further proposed a cost calculation model taking those risks into account.

굴삭기를 이용한 해체 장비용 햅틱 장치 설계 (Design of A Haptic Device for Dismantling Process Using Excavator)

  • Since the dismantling processes of building are very dangerous, there have been many studies to develop a remote operating devices using joystick. In this paper, in order to improve the operability of the dismantling actuator that is usually an excavator, a novel concept of tele-operated haptic device is proposed. Operators who use this haptic device with additional environmental sensing devices can work safely away from the dangerous sites. First, based on the concept design of the haptic device, the workspace mapping from the haptic device to the excavator is explored. Second, the kinematics which deals with the conversion from the 3 dimensional position information of the haptic device to the joint variable information of the backhoe is included. Lastly, 3D graphical simulation of both haptic device and the backhoe will be shown. This new design of the haptic device can be easily manufactured and gives the workers very convenient and transparent remote control capability.

  • Asbestos is a durable and heat-resistant building material used in various building materials such as slate, ceiling tex, and spray paint. It has been banned since 2009 after found to be a first-class carcinogen that causes various cancers and asbestos lung disease. Since workers are likely to be exposed to asbestos in the process of dismantling and removal of asbestos-made building materials and facilities, laws and work standards are proposed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to ensure the safety of asbestos dismantling work. In addition, prior studies on exposure levels and analysis methods have been conducted in this regard mainly for residents. However, the relation between the results of the risk assessment of the process conducted during the asbestos investigation and the work is still ambiguous for the safety of workers. Therefore, this study proposes a process model development methodology that considers work risk based on the results of a survey from asbestos dismantling companies.

  • When decommissioning a nuclear power plant, it is difficult to make an appropriate plan to ensure sufficient space for temporary placement and conveyance operations of dismantling targets. This paper describes a system to support temporary placement and conveyance operations using augmented reality (AR). The system employs a laser range scanner to measure the three-dimensional (3D) information of the environment and a dismantling target to produce 3D surface polygon models. Then, the operator simulates temporary placement and conveyance operations using the system by manipulating the obtained 3D model of the dismantling target in the work field. Referring to the obtained 3D model of the environment, a possible collision between the dismantling target and the environment is detectable. Using AR, the collision position is presented intuitively. After field workers evaluated this system, the authors concluded that the system is feasible and acceptable to verify whether spaces for passage and temporary storage are sufficient for temporary placement and conveyance operations. For practical use in the future, some new functions must be added to improve the system. For example, it must be possible for multiple workers to use the system simultaneously by sharing the view of dismantling work.

  • 최근 게임 기술은 모의 수술 시뮬레이션이나 사이버 모델하우스 구축 등의 여러 응용 분야에까지 적용되어지고 있다. 이러한 응용 분야에서 꼭 필요하고 중요한 기술 중 하나는 3D 모델을 실시간으로 절단하는 것이다. 실시간 모의 절단 기술은 자동차나 건축물의 실시간 해체 시뮬레이션 구축에 꼭 필요하며, 다양한 융복합 산업 분야에서 응용이 가능하다. 기존의 BSP-Tree를 이용한 절단 기법에서는 무한 평면을 기준으로 3D 모델을 두 부분으로 절단시키기 때문에 일반적인 절단 작업에 유용하게 사용하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 유한한 영역 내에서 3D 모델을 절단하는 기법을 제안하였다. 구체적으로 절단 경로면을 유한하게 정의할 수 있도록 하였으며, 절단 범위 이내에서만 3D 모델을 분열시키도록 하여, 다양한 산업 분야에서 유용하게 사용할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 부분 절단 기법의 유용성을 보이기 위해 원자로 3D 모델의 해체 작업 과정을 모의 시뮬레이션 하는 과정에 적용해 보았다.

성격 유형을 바탕으로 하는 에이전트 기반 팀 해체 모형 (An Agent-Based Model of Team Dissolution based on Personality Traits)

  • 팀 활동은 학생들의 문제해결 능력 배양과 팀워크의 학습을 위해 유용하다. 팀 활동이 좋은 결과로 마무리되는 것은 학생들의 성공경험 획득을 위해 중요한데, 특히 융 복합 교과에서는 더욱 그러하다. 본 연구에서는 대학 교과에서의 팀 활동에 있어 주어진 프로젝트 기한이 만료되기 전에 팀이 해체되는 경우에 대해 분석하고자 하였다. 팀의 해체가 팀원의 성격에 바탕을 두고 있다는 가정 하에 팀 해체의 요인이 되는 성격으로서 Dark Triad(DT)를 도입하였고 이를 방어하는 성격 요소로서 융화성을 도입하여 팀 해체 모형을 제안하였다. 제안된 모형은 에이전트 기반의 시뮬레이션을 통해 모의실험을 하였고 그 결과를 분석하였다. DT를 소유한 학생의 비율은 팀의 제한 인원과 팀의 해체율에 영향을 미치지만 팀원의 융화성을 높임으로 인해 팀의 해체율을 낮출 수 있음이 확인되었다. 개발한 모형은 팀의 해체와 관련된 연구에 기초로 제공될 수 있으며 팀 활동을 에이전트 기반의 시뮬레이션으로 접근한 방법론의 활용은 향후 팀 활동을 분석하고 지원하는데 유용하리라 기대한다.
