시뮬레이션 기반 폐자동차 해체시스템의 개념설계 (Simulation Based Conceptual Design of ELV Dismantling System)

  • This paper discuss basic functional construction and plant layout of a ELV dismantling system that can maximize the reusability of tarts and the recoverability of materials by dismantling ELV rationally and efficiently. "Island" type was selected for the system configuration considering processing amount, economical efficiency, and effectiveness. The system is supported by the information system, and composed of dismantling stations and handling equipments. The layout of the stations was determined after simulation and optimization using commercial software package, Arena and OptQuest. The objective of the optimization was maximum profit while the system capacity is considered as constraint. The environmental load of ELV can be minimized when the composition and function of each station are embodied in detail and the system is interfaced with shredding operation.

Development of an information reference system using reconstruction models of nuclear power plants

  • Many nuclear power plants in Japan are approaching the end of their planned operational life spans. They must be decommissioned safely in the near future. Using augmented reality (AR), workers can intuitively understand information related to decommissioning work. Three-dimensional (work-site) reconstruction models of dismantling fields are useful for workers to observe the conditions of dismantling field situations without visiting the actual fields. This study, based on AR and work-site reconstruction models, developed and evaluated an information reference system. The evaluation consists of questionnaires and interview surveys administered to six nuclear power plant workers who used this system, along with a scenario. Results highlight the possibility of reducing time and mitigating mistakes in dismantling fields. Results also show the ease of referring to information in dismantling fields. Nevertheless, it is apparently difficult for workers to build reconstruction models of dismantling fields independently.

A Study on Estimation of Radiation Exposure Dose During Dismantling of RCS Piping in Decommissioning Nuclear Power Plant

  • In the dismantling process of a reactor coolant system (RCS) piping, a radiation protection plan should be established to minimize the radiation exposure doses of dismantling workers. Hence, it is necessary to estimate the individual effective dose in the RCS piping dismantling process when decommissioning a nuclear power plant. In this study, the radiation exposure doses of the dismantling workers at different positions was estimated using the MicroShield dose assessment program based on the NUREG/CR-1595 report. The individual effective dose, which is the sum of the effective dose to each tissue considering the working time, was used to estimate the radiation exposure dose. The estimations of the simulation results for all RCS piping dismantling tasks satisfied the dose limits prescribed by the ICRP-60 report. In dismantling the RCS piping of the Kori-1 or Wolsong-1 units in South Korea, the estimation and reduction method for the radiation exposure dose, and the simulated results of this study can be used to implement the radiation safety for optimal dismantling by providing information on the radiation exposure doses of the dismantling workers.

  • When decommissioning a nuclear power plant, it is difficult to make an appropriate plan to ensure sufficient space for temporary placement and conveyance operations of dismantling targets. This paper describes a system to support temporary placement and conveyance operations using augmented reality (AR). The system employs a laser range scanner to measure the three-dimensional (3D) information of the environment and a dismantling target to produce 3D surface polygon models. Then, the operator simulates temporary placement and conveyance operations using the system by manipulating the obtained 3D model of the dismantling target in the work field. Referring to the obtained 3D model of the environment, a possible collision between the dismantling target and the environment is detectable. Using AR, the collision position is presented intuitively. After field workers evaluated this system, the authors concluded that the system is feasible and acceptable to verify whether spaces for passage and temporary storage are sufficient for temporary placement and conveyance operations. For practical use in the future, some new functions must be added to improve the system. For example, it must be possible for multiple workers to use the system simultaneously by sharing the view of dismantling work.

  • 본 논문에서는 해체 시나리오를 정량적 및 정성적 고려사항을 반영하여 평가하기 위하여 계층적분석이론(Analytic Hierarchy Process, AHP)을 이용한 평가모델을 개발하였으며 또한 해체 시나리오의 정량적인 자료산출을 위하여 해체일정, 폐기물량, 방사화 가시화, 해체비용, 작업자 피폭량 등과 같은 해체정보산출모듈을 개발하였다. 그리고 해체공정을 가상환경에서 구현하여 해체절차를 파악하기 위하여 디지털 목업(Digital Mock-Up, DMU)을 개발하였으며 DMU 시스템은 해체정보산출모듈, 해체 DB 및 해체 시나리오 평가 모듈을 통합적으로 관리하도록 개발되었다. 마지막으로 개발된 해체 DMU 시스템과 계층분석과정 모델을 연구로 1호기(Korea Research Reactor-1, KRR-1) thermal column의 플라즈마 절단 시나리오와 nibbler 절단 시나리오에 적용하여 비교 평가하였다.

  • 고리 1호기 영구정지 이후 원전해체에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 원자로발전소의 핵심설비(원자로압력용기, 증기발생기, 원자로냉각재펌프, 가압기)는 원자력발전소의 구조물 중 가장 높은 방사능을 가지고 있으며, 특히 핵심설비 중 원자로압력용기(RPV: Reactor Pressure Vessel)는 핵연료를 제외한 방사능이 가장 높은 대상물이다. 이를 해체하기 위해서는 해체 대상에 대한 정확한 사전정보(2D, 3D모델 등) 및 방사선학적 특성 분석 그리고 해체 장비, 해체 공정의 타당성 검토 등이 필요하다. 하지만 사전정보 및 방사선학적 특성 분석 만으로는 해체 공정 검토가 불가능하고, 물리적인 목업을 사용할 경우, 다양한 해체 장비 적용의 어려움으로 가상환경에서 시뮬레이션 및 훈련이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 가상현실 및 햅틱 기술을 적용하여 원전해체 과정의 원격 해체 기술 및 해체 작업자의 해체 기술을 향상할 수 있는 원격 해체훈련 시스템을 개발하였다.

  • Waste generated during the dismantling of nuclear power plants is not only diverse in types such as metal, concrete, soil, but also in a large amount, requiring systematic and efficient management. It is very important to quickly and accurately measure radioactive contamination of wastes generated simultaneously at the decommissioning site, classify them by level, and make decisions so that they can be disposed of in accordance with related laws and regulations. In this paper, for the technical and economic aspects of recycling of radioactive metal waste generated during the dismantling of nuclear power plants, we propose a management system that can measure the radioactive contamination by shape of metal waste at the decommissioning site and automatically classify it according to the presence or absence of contamination. Accordingly, a system for collecting information on metal samples such as weight measurement and shape acquisition of metal waste, measurement of radioactive contamination and identification of nuclides, and an automatic classification system according to radioactivity measurement results were described.

  • 자유경제가 기반이 된 생산체제 하에서 트랜드의 다양한 욕구충족을 위해 만들어진 현대 소비재의 변화는 사회, 문화 전반에 걸쳐서 여러 양상으로 전개되고 있다. 이 현상은 학문적으로나 기타 이론으로 규명하기 힘들 정도로 빠른 속도로 또한 다양하게 진행되고 있다. 이것은 과학과 정보통신의 발달에 기인한 인간 생활의 다원화된 가치관의 형성과 유관하다고 볼 수 있다. 현대인의 가치관의 다원화현상은 여러 다른 학문분야처럼 디자인에서도 다각도로 연구되어지고 있는데 그 중 개념적으로는 '포스트모더니즘 적이다'라고 하며 이때 포스트모더니즘이 시사하는 바는 기존의 개념(모더니즘)을 다원화 시켜 해체시킨 것을 의미하고 있다. 즉, 디자인분야에 나타나는 복합적이고 개념적인 결과물을 비롯하여 다양한 트랜드를 반영한 제품에 이르기까지 기존의 형태와 전혀 다른 상품들을 말하고 있는 것이다. 이와 같이 시대성을 적극적으로 반영하는 패키지디자인 분야는 다양한 기능을 활용할 수 있는 다기능의 형태로 기존의 특정한 디자인 분야라고 암묵적으로 정해 놓은 영역을 자유롭게 넘나드는 것이 현실이며 다른 분야 역시 그러하다고 사료되는데 흔히 '팬시제품'이라고 일컬어지는 분야에서 현저하게 나타난다. 어떠한 경우는 패키지디자인을 '패러디'하여 '제품화'시키는 예도 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 '현상'을 제품 디자인과 패키지디자인 영역간의 탈경계 현상이라고 보고 그러한 것을 실례를 중심으로 고찰하여 유추된 개념과 의미를 토대로 보다 폭 넓게 시대성을 반영한 패키지디자인으로 재조명되어야 한다.

  • The key role in safety management is to identify any possible hazard before it occurs by identifying any possible risk factors which are critical to risk assessment. This planning/assessment process is considered to be tedious and requires a lot of attention due to the following reasons: firstly, falsework (temporary structures) in construction projects is fundamentally important. However, the installation and dismantling of those facilities are one of the high risk activities in the job sites. Secondly, temporary facilities are generally not clearly delineated on the building drawings. It is our strong belief that safety tools have to be simple and convenient enough for the jobsite people to manage them easily and be flexible for any occasions to be occurred at various degrees. In order to develop the safety assessment system, this research utilizes the BIM technology and collects important information by importing data from BIM models and use it in the planning stage.
