MULTIPLE VALUED ITERATIVE DYNAMICS MODELS OF NONLINEAR DISCRETE-TIME CONTROL DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS WITH DISTURBANCE

  • The study of nonlinear discrete-time control dynamical systems with disturbance is an important topic in control theory. In this paper, we concentrate our efforts to multiple valued iterative dynamical systems, which model the nonlinear discrete-time control dynamical systems with disturbance. After establishing the validity of such modeling, we study the invariant set theory of the multiple valued iterative dynamical systems, including the controllability/reachablity problems of the maximal invariant sets.

東海에서의 파랑추산을 위한 심해파랑모형에 대한 연구 (Deep Water Wave Model for the East Sea)

  • A deep water wave prediction model applicable to the East Sea is presnted. This model incorporates rediative transter of energy specrum, atmospheric input form the wind, nonlinear interaction, and energy dissipation by white capping. The propagation scheme by Gadd shows satisfactory results and the characteristics of the nonlinear interaction is simulated well by discrete interaction approximatiion. The application of the model to the sea around the Korean Peninsula shows reasonable agreement with the observation.

선형 이산화 입력-출력 모형에 의한 유출해석 (Runoff Analysis Using the Discrete, Linear, Input-Output Model)

  • 대부분의 중소규모 하천 유역에서는 수위 또는 유량 등의 실측자료가 빈약한 상태이기 때문에 홍수시의 유출량을 정확히 추정하고, 홍수피해를 경감시키기 위한 적절한 대책을 세우기가 매우 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 부산지방에 위치한 온천천 유역을 대상으로 하여 중소 하천 유역에 대한 선형 이산화 입력-출력 모형의 매개변수를 추정하고자 하였으며, 1993년 6월부터 실측한 유출량 자료와 저류함수법에 의해 산정한 유효강우량을 사용하여 선형 이산화 입력-출력 모형의 매개변수를 최소자승법과 상관함수법에 의해 추정하였다. 선형 이산화 입력-출력 모형에 의한 유출 수문곡선은 실측 수문곡선을 잘 재현한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 추정된 매개변수와 강우자료만을 사용하여 모의발생시킨 수문곡선 역시 실측 수문곡선과 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다.

  • The practical implementation of model reference adaptive systems(MRAS) using digital computer requires the derivation of discrete-time adaptation laws. This is specially important in the case of direct driver robot and light weight manipulator where inertia changes ang gravity effects are significant. We develope a discrete-time model reference adaptive control scheme for trajectory tracking of robot manipulator. Instead of the conventional Lyapunov approach hyperstabillty theory is more appealing than the Lyapunov approach. It is better suited to discrete time systems and offers more flexibility in design by providing additional free design parameters.

  • In order to cope with the changes of container terminal situation in these days, many simulation studies for container terminal have been accomplished. But previous simulation studies using simulation language have limitations in model representation and difficulties in modeling of large scaled container terminal system. To make these problems better, this paper addresses an object-oriented simulation of container terminal system using a DEVS formalism. The DEVS(Discrete Event System Specification) formalism, developed by Zeigler, supports specification of discrete event system in a hierarchical and modular manner. The formalism provides a mathematical basis for studying discrete event systems with better understood and sounder semantics. In a step of system modeling, a DEVS formalism aims at the exact system modeling that has a basis of semantics and utilizing the object-oriented manner can flexibly cope with the changes of system environment. In this study a model is developed and verified through the simulation of some alternatives.

  • The discrete element method is a numerical model capable of describing the mechanical behaviour of assemblies of discs and spheres. The method is based on the use of an explicit numerical scheme in which the interaction of the particles is monitored contact by contact and the motion of the particles modelled particle by particle. In this paper, A two-dimensional model for computing contacts and motions of granular particles of unform, inelasticity is presented. And, code is developed. The primary aim of this paper is to approv computational result of continuum alaysis which is on processing. The end of this paper, that code is tested with several examples.

  • This paper presents an efficient algorithm which determines the parameters of discrete PID controller. The proposed algorithm is an algebraic method to obtain controller parameters using ROM(Reduced Order Model), which can not only make design procedure simple but also reduce the computational burden required for controller implementation. Also, by solving a set of linear equations based on least squares method, the proposed method can make the controller design procedure systematic. Simple examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our method when compared with widely-used conventional method.

Modelling dowel action of discrete reinforcing bars for finite element analysis of concrete structures

  • In the finite element analysis of reinforced concrete structures, discrete representation of the steel reinforcing bars is considered advantageous over smeared representation because of the more realistic modelling of their bond-slip behaviour. However, there is up to now limited research on how to simulate the dowel action of discrete reinforcing bars, which is an important component of shear transfer in cracked concrete structures. Herein, a numerical model for the dowel action of discrete reinforcing bars is developed. It features derivation of the dowel stiffness based on the beam-on-elastic-foundation theory and direct assemblage of the dowel stiffness matrix into the stiffness matrices of adjoining concrete elements. The dowel action model is incorporated in a nonlinear finite element program based on secant stiffness formulation and application to deep beams tested by others demonstrates that the incorporation of dowel action can improve the accuracy of the finite element analysis.

시뮬레이션 격자구조 제작을 위한 Mesh 기반 지질솔리드모델의 Gmsh, COMSOL 변환 프로그램 개발 (The Development of Converting Program from Sealed Geological Model to Gmsh, COMSOL for Building Simulation Grid)

  • FEM 수치해석을 위한 사면체격자 생성을 위해서는 물체의 볼륨정보를 표현할 수 있는 Boundary Representation (B-Rep) 모델이 필요하다. 공학분야에서는 파라메트릭 솔리드 모델링(Parametric Solid Modeling) 방법을 사용하여 B-Rep 모델을 정의한다. 반면 지질모델링은 메쉬 기반의 불연속(discrete) 모델링 방법을 사용하는데 이를 지질솔리드모델(Sealed Geological Model)이라 부르며 지층, 단층, 관입암, 모델 경계면과 같은 지질학적 인터페이스들을 이용해 지질도메인을 정의한다. 공학분야의 파라메트릭 모델링과 불연속 모델링 방식의 자료구조의 차이로 인해 불연속 B-Rep 모델은 공학분야에서 사용하는 다양한 오픈소스, 상용 메쉬제작 소프트웨어와 쉽게 호환되지 않는다. 이 논문에서는 공학용 메쉬 제작 소프트웨어와의 호환성을 가지도록 지질솔리드모델을 대표적인 오픈소스인 Gmsh와 상용 FEM 해석 소프트웨어인 COMSOL로 변환하는 프로그램을 제작하였다. 지질모델링 소프트웨어를 통해 제작한 복잡한 지질구조모델을 사용자 편의성을 갖춘 다수의 상용 소프트웨어서 쉽게 활용할 수 있어 지열, 암석역학 등 다양한 지구과학 시뮬레이션 연구에 도움이 될 것으로 생각된다.
