  • A specialized web search engine is an internet tool for detecting information in finite cyber world. It helps to retrieve necessary information in internet sites quickly In this paper, we design and implement a prototype search engine using method of mining for the association rule discovery. It consists of a search engine part and a search robot part. The search engine uses keyword method and is considered as various user oriented interface. The search robot fetches information related to ship parts n world wide web. The experiments show that our search engine(AISE) is superior to other search engines in collecting necessary informations.

  • Biological science is being revolutionized by the availability of much sequence information from many genome project With the advanced technology at hand, main trend in biological research is rapidly changing from a structural DNA analysis to understanding cellular function of the DNA sequences. Combined with mechanics, computer, bioinformatics and other advanced technologies, DNA chip technology provides numerous applications because of its robustness, accuracy, and automation. DNA chip is expected to become an indispensable tool in fields of biology, biotechnology, drug discovery, and other application areas. DNA chip can be used for mutation and polymorphism detection, gene expression monitoring and phenotypic analysis as well. If DNA chip is used for the development of pharmaceutical products, it can considerably reduce the cost and time for the entire process of drug discovery and development, and can also contribute in developing personal drugs.

  • The World Wide Web is transitioning from being a mere collection of documents that contain useful information toward providing a collection of services that perform useful tasks. The emerging Web service technology has been envisioned as the next technological wave and is expected to play an important role in this recent transformation of the Web. By providing interoperable interface standards for application-to-application communication, Web services can be combined with component-based software development to promote application interaction and integration within and across enterprises. To make Web services for service-oriented computing operational, it is important that Web services repositories not only be well-structured but also provide efficient tools for an environment supporting reusable software components for both service providers and consumers. As the potential of Web services for service-oriented computing is becoming widely recognized, the demand for an integrated framework that facilitates service discovery and publishing is concomitantly growing. In our research, we propose a framework that facilitates Web service discovery and publishing by combining clustering techniques and leveraging the semantics of the XML-based service specification in WSDL files. We believe that this is one of the first attempts at applying unsupervised artificial neural network-based machine-learning techniques in the Web service domain. We have developed a Web service discovery tool based on the proposed approach using an unsupervised artificial neural network and empirically evaluated the proposed approach and tool using real Web service descriptions drawn from operational Web services repositories. We believe that both service providers and consumers in a service-oriented computing environment can benefit from our Web service discovery approach.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of calculators as a cognitive tool rather than calculating tool in learning elementary school mathematics. The calculator activities on multiplying two numbers ending with 0s or two decimal fractions and mixed four operations were developed, and exploratory lessons with the activities were implemented to three 3rd graders and two 5th graders. The results were shown that calculators provided an alternative effective learning environment: students were able to use heuristic thinking, reason inductively and successfully investigate principles of mathematics through the pattern recognition. And finally, we discussed the heuristic method through utilizing calculators.

  • The propagation of smart devices and the rapid expansion of wireless mobile networks have increased the need for ubiquitous device connectivity and contents access. DLNA is currently being used as the de facto standard for connectivity of consumer devices in the digital home. The guidelines provided by DLNA are intended to facilitate device and contents discovery, management, sharing and distribution. However, consumer experience with DLNA has been rather poor and usability not up to speed. Different problems and issues in limited compatibility have been reported due to manufacturer customizations. Such compatibility issues are often difficult to identify by average consumers who are not savvy in information communications and multimedia technology. In this paper, the design and implementation of a DLNA protocol inspection tool is presented for compatibility analysis among DLNA certified devices. The tool monitors the home network and performs analysis of the underlying protocols used by DLNA. The tool can be used for diagnostics and troubleshooting, enabling the user to identify compatibility issues between devices or problems in the network.

  • The Bailey lemma has been a powerful tool in the discovery of identities of Rogers-Ramanujan type and also ordinary and basic hyper-geometric series identities. The mechanism of Bailey lemma has also led to the concepts of Bailey pair and Bailey chain. In the present work certain new WP-Bailey pairs have been established. We also have deduced a number of basic hypergeometric series identities as an application of new WP-Bailey pairs.

  • Ever since the identification of 6830 and 7088 features as the Raman scattered O VI 1032, 1038 resonance doublets in symbiotic stars by Schmid (1989), Raman scattering by atomic hydrogen has been a very unique tool to investigate the mass transfer processes in symbiotic stars. Discovery of Raman scattered He II in young planetary nebulae (NGC 7027, NGC 6302, IC 5117) allow one to expect that Raman scattering can be an extremely useful tool to look into the mass loss processes in these objects. Because hydrogen is a single electron atom, their wavefunctions are known in closed form, so that exact calculations of cross sections are feasible. In this paper, I review some basic properties of Raman scattered features and present detailed and explicit matrix elements for computation of the scattering cross section of radiation with atomic hydrogen. Some astrophysical objects for which Raman scattering may be observationally pertinent are briefly mentioned.

  • Gene expression is regulated in large part at the level of transcription under the control of sequence-specific transcriptional regulatory proteins. Therefore, the ability to affect gene expression at will using sequencespecific artificial transcription factors would provide researchers with a powerful tool for biotechnology research and drug discovery. Previously, we isolated 56 novel sequence-specific DNA-binding domains from the human genome by in vivo selection. We hypothesized that these domains might be more useful for regulating gene expression in higher eukaryotic cells than those selected in vitro using phage display. However, an unpredictable factor, termed the "context effect", is associated with the construction of novel zinc finger transcription factors--- DNA-binding proteins that bind specifically to 9-base pair target sequences. In this study, we directly selected active artificial zinc finger proteins from a zinc finger protein library. Direct in vivo selection of constituents of a zinc finger protein library may be an efficient method for isolating multi-finger DNA binding proteins while avoiding the context effect.

  • Simple sequence repeats (SSRs) are ubiquitous short tandem duplications found within eukaryotic genomes. Their length variability and abundance throughout the genome has led them to be widely used as molecular markers for crop-breeding programs, facilitating the use of marker-assisted selection as well as estimation of genetic population structure. Here, we report a software application, "SSR-Primer Generator " for SSR discovery, SSR-primer design, and homology-based search of in silico amplicons from a DNA sequence dataset. On submission of multiple FASTA-format DNA sequences, those analyses are batch processed in a Java runtime environment (JRE) platform, in a pipeline, and the resulting data are visualized in HTML tabular format. This application will be a useful tool for reducing the time and costs associated with the development and application of SSR markers.

  • Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) are artificial learning algorithms that provide successful results in solving many machine learning problems such as classification, prediction, object detection, object segmentation, image and video classification. There is an increasing number of studies that use ANNs as a prediction tool in soil classification. The aim of this research was to understand the role of hyperparameter optimization in enhancing the accuracy of ANNs for soil type classification. The research results has shown that the hyperparameter optimization and hyperparamter optimized ANNs can be utilized as an efficient mechanism for increasing the estimation accuracy for this problem. It is observed that the developed hyperparameter tool (HyperNetExplorer) that is utilizing the Covariance Matrix Adaptation Evolution Strategy (CMAES), Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Jaya Algorithm (JA) optimization techniques can be successfully used for the discovery of hyperparameter optimized ANNs, which can accomplish soil classification with 100% accuracy.
