Objects Tracking in Image Sequence by Optimization of a Penalty Function

  • We suggest a novel approach to the tracking of multiple moving objects in image sequence. The tracking of multiple moving objects include some complex problems(crossing (occluding), entering, disappearing, joining, and dividing) for objects identifying. Our method can settle these problems by optimization of a penalty function and movement prediction. It is executable in .eat time processing (more than 30 ㎐) because it is computed by only location data.

Reduction of Temporal Image Sticking in AC Plasma Display Panels through the Use of High He Contents

  • The temporal dark- and bright-image sticking phenomena were examined relative to the He contents under 11% Xe content in the 50-in HD and FHD AC-PDPs with a ternary gas mixture (Xe-He-Ne). To compare the temporal dark- and bright-image sticking phenomena under various He contents, the differences in the disappearing time, display luminance, perceived luminance, infrared emission, color coordinate, color temperature, and discharge current before and after discharge were measured under 0, 35, 50, and 70% He contents. It was found that temporal dark- and bright-image sticking were reduced in proportion to the increase in He %. Thus, a high He content contributes to the reduction of temporal dark- and bright-image sticking.

Reduction of the Temporal Bright-Image Sticking in AC-PDP Modules Using the Vacuum Sealing Method

  • This paper investigates the effects of the existing sealing methods, such as the conventional atmospheric-pressure sealing method and vacuum sealing, on temporal bright-image sticking. To produce a residual image caused by temporal brightimage sticking, the entire region of a 42-in panel with an Xe-(11%)-He(35%) gas mixture was abruptly changed to a full-white background image after displaying a square-type image at peak luminance for about 60s. From the monitoring of the difference in the display luminance, infrared emission, color temperature, and disappearing time between the cells with and without temporal bright-image sticking, it was observed that the vacuum sealing method contributes to the reduction of temporal bright-image sticking.

  • Minimizing the residual impurity level on the MgO layer is the key factor for reducing temporal dark image sticking on bright screen. In this paper, to reduce the residual impurity level on the MgO layer of 50-in. full-HD ac-PDP with He (35%) - Xe (11%) contents, RF-plasma treatments on the MgO layer are adopted under various gases for plasma treatment. As a result of monitoring the difference in the display luminance between the before and after 5-min. sustain discharge with a square-type image at peak luminance, the Ar and Ar>$O_2$ plasma treatments can reduce the temporal dark image sticking on the bright screen in an ac-PDP.

  • 컴퓨터의 사용이 일반화되어 이제는 디자인분야의 실무에 있어서도 필수도구로서 자리를 굳히기 시작하면서 이제가지 사용해 온 재래의 디자인 재료들은 점점 현장에서 사라져 가고 있다. 대학에서의 교육도 업무의 현장에 대한 직접적인 적응력을 기르기 위해 컴퓨터를 학습의 도구로 사용한지 꽤 되었다. 따라서 디자인 기초과목 중의 하나인 도학의 강의와 수업방법도 재래도구의 사용법을 응용하여 컴퓨터의 어플리케이션 소프트웨어를 도입한 새로운 강의 방식을 제시해 보고자 한다.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅이란 마크 와이저의 주장처럼 급진적이지 않으며 포괄적으로 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 정의할 수 있는 적절한 정의로 판단된다. 각국의 실태에서 미국이나 유럽에서 실시되고 있는 프로젝트는 전반적으로 유비퀴터스 컴퓨팅 인프라 구축을 위한 연구와 사물의 지능화, 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용 연구, 공간의 지능화 등을 목표로 반면 일본은 어디서나 컴퓨터의 능력이 발휘되는 네트워크의 편재화를 위한 연구가 중심을 이룬다. 유비퀴터스 컴퓨팅 연구는 컴퓨터 과학의 특정 분야에 국한된 것이 아니라 사회, 경제, 윤리, 법 등 다양한 측면에서 연구되고 있으며, 국가의 적극적 지원을 기반으로 한다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅이 다양한 센서를 통해 정보를 받아들이고, 판단하며, 커뮤니케이션 기술을 등을 제시하였다. 이를 근거로 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 발전모델을 제시하였으며 진화과정에서 정형화된 가치시스템에 한계가 있으나 5가지 유형의 비즈니스모델이 나타날 것으로 전망한다.

  • 문명의 발달로 아날로그 시대에서 디지털 시대로 변화함에 따라 사람들은 책보다 더 친숙한 스마트폰 화면속에 갇혀 살고 있다. 과거에는 사람들이 책 속에서 쉽게 글씨들을 볼 수 있었으나, 지금은 글씨들이 사람들의 마음에서 사라지고 있다. 사람들은 스마트 기기를 이용하여 언제 어디서나 쉽게 글씨들을 볼 수 있지만, 그들은 글씨에는 관심이 없고 정보에만 관심이 있어서, 글씨들이 사라지고 있다. 하지만, 사라져가는 글씨들을 지키고 발전시키려고 노력하는 사람들이 있다 본 논문에서는 우리는 그 사람들에 대한 다큐멘터리를 기획하고 제작한다. 활판 인쇄소, 캘리그라피, 컴퓨터 폰트를 통해서 세상에서 사라지고 있는 듯한 글씨들이 현대사회와 공존을 이루며 어떻게 살아나고 있는지를 보여주고 글씨의 소중함을 알리고자 한다.

  • It is important that ubiquitous technology changes paradigm of thought, not simple definition in the 21st digital era. Characteristics of ubiquitous computing are pervasive, disappearing, invisible, calm through environment. As IT Technology develops, designers, computer scientists, chemists, performance artists cooperate in order to find out the best way to make desirable digital clothing in the future, with the merit of each part. Digital clothing defines clothes of new generation equipped computer, digital installations. Digital clothing design demands intercept of electromagnetic waves, light-weight and esthetic appearance, for it is attached high-technology equipment near body. The purpose of this study is to analyze design features of digital clothing according to ubiquitous characteristics. The methods of this study are documentary research of previous study and case study. In the theoretical study, ubiquitous characteristics are function-intensive by convergence, interactivity, embedded mobility and human & emotion-oriented attributes. Based on ubiquitous characteristics, digital clothing design classified function-intensive design by convergence, design for Interactivity and multi-sensible & emotion-oriented design, because embedded mobility is a basic element of ubiquitous environment. The early days digital clothing design is function-intensive design, and have esthetic appearances and design for interactivity increasingly. Recently digital clothing design is expressed multi-sensible and emotion-oriented design.

  • Analyzing adaptive possibilities of agents in multi-agents system, we have discovered new aspects of ambient intelligence in distributed modular systems using intelligent building blocks (I-BLOCKS) [1]. This paper describes early scientific researches related to technical design, applicable experiments and evaluation of adaptive processing and information interaction among I-BLOCKS allowing users to easily develop ambient intelligence applications. The processing technology presented in this paper is embedded inside each DUPLO1 brick by microprocessor as well as selected sensors and actuators in addition. Behaviors of an I-BLOCKS modular structure are defined by the internal processing functionality of each I-Blocks in such structure and communication capacities between I-BLOCKS. Users of the I-BLOCKS system can do 'programming by building' and thereby create specific functionalities of a modular structure of intelligent artefacts without the need to learn and use traditional programming language. From investigating different effects of modem artificial intelligence, I-BLOCKS we have developed might possibly contain potential possibilities for developing applications in ambient intelligence (AmI) environments. To illustrate these possibilities, the paper presents a range of different experimental scenarios in which I-BLOCKS have been used to set-up reconfigurable modular systems. The paper also reports briefly about earlier experiments of I-BLOCKS in different research fields, allowing users to construct AmI applications by a just defined concept of modular artefacts [3].
