Joint distribution of wind speed and direction in the context of field measurement

  • The joint distribution of wind speed and wind direction at a bridge site is vital to the estimation of the basic wind speed, and hence to the wind-induced vibration analysis of long-span bridges. Instead of the conventional way relying on the weather stations, this study proposed an alternate approach to obtain the original records of wind speed and the corresponding directions based on field measurement supported by the Structural Health Monitoring System (SHMS). Specifically, SHMS of Sutong Cable-stayed Bridge (SCB) is utilized to study the basic wind speed with directional information. Four anemometers are installed in the SHMS of SCB: upstream and downstream of the main deck center, top of the north and south tower respectively. Using the recorded wind data from SHMS, the joint distribution of wind speed and direction is investigated based on statistical methods, and then the basic wind speeds in 10-year and 100-year recurrence intervals at these four key positions are calculated. Analytical results verify the reliability of the recorded wind data from SHMS, and indicate that the joint probability model for the extreme wind speed at SCB site fits well with the Weibull model. It is shown that the calculated basic wind speed is reduced by considering the influence of wind direction. Compared to the design basic wind speed in the Specification of China, basic wind speed considering the influence of direction or not is much smaller, indicating a high safety coefficient in the design of SCB. The results obtained in this study can provide not only references for further wind-resistance research of SCB, but also improve the understanding of the safety coefficient for wind-resistance design of other engineering structures in the similar area.

  • This study has an ultimate purpose to find some change direction of education in the Korean language education field, that is, in and out of the Korean language classroom keeping up with social changes. Especially, this study will investigate progressive educational ways in terms of not only developing software, but also grafting hardware relating to mobile technologies. For this, this study will classify the cases of teaching and learning happened in and out of Korean language classrooms and to introduce practical ways of education to apply mobile technologies according to the each case. As a concrete method, this paper proposed a change plan of classroom change that incorporates 'Miracast' and 'smart phone' and a change plan out of the classroom using mesh. This study can be meaningful in that the teaching and learning are linked more organically through the smart phone and the education is called 'IoT world' so that both teachers and learners can easily access education.

서원건축 강학공간에서 공간조건에 따른 강당의 평면형태 및 창호시스템의 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Change of the Floor Plan and the Window & Door System of Kangdang according to the Space Condition in Education Area of Seowon Architecture)

  • In Seowon architecture, there are four kinds of space conditions according to the site plan and the figure of education area. The education area has three main buildings such as Kangdang, Dongjae, Seojae. In case Kangdan locates in front of Dongjae and Seojae(so called Junkangdang-Hoojaesa), but in another case Dongjae and Seojae locates in front of Kangdang(so called Junjaesa-Hookangdang). This four space conditions affect to decide the floor plan and the window & door system of Kangdang. In Junjaesa-Hookangdang type, the front and rear wall has more open system than in Junkangdang-Hoojaesa type. In Junjaesa-Hookangdang type the direction of Kangdang is absolutely open to front education area, but in Junkangdang-Hoojaesa type the direction of Kangdang is absolutely open to rear education area. These floor plan aims at making up education area more closely. In window & door system the rear parts of Junjaesa-Hookangdang type have generally opaque system such as Golpanmoon or Panjangmoon, but Junkangdang-Hoojaesa type breaks this rule in order to emphasize front facade of building.

1인 가구 시대의 가정과교육 방향 탐색 (Exploring the Direction of Home Economics Education in Preparation for the Generalization of a One-Person Household)

  • This study explores the social phenomenon of the universalization of one-person households through a literature analysis and text mining in order to explore a future direction for Home Economics Education(HEE) development in the one-person household era. From 2010 to 2018, texts from newspaper articles and book content of one-person households were analyzed through R program. The results of the study are as follows. In order to develop students' competency to live a happy life in the one-person household era, it is necessary to: (1) expand the preemptive and collaborative research of HEE, (2) develop and operate a curriculum to raise the living competency to live alone, (3) expand opportunities for secondary school students as well as off-campus youth, middle-aged, and elderly students, and (4) develop various HEE's elective curriculum focusing on the ability to live as one-person household. Also, (5) in order to overcome the psychological and social poverty and isolation of one-person households, HEE should strengthen the learner's ability to form relationships through self-esteem, care of others, community life, communication and conflict resolution education. In conclusion, HEE's independent living competency, relationship formation competency, and practical problem solving competency are all necessary competencies to live in one-person households. In this study, it is meaningful to suggest a future direction for HEE and to use new research methods such as word cloud techniques in the absence of HEE's previous research in relation to the increase of one-person households.

평생교육을 고려한 초등학교 건축계획에 관한 연구 - 국외의 복합화 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Architectural Planning for Lifelong Education in Elementary School)

  • Entering the 21st century, countries throughout the world are turning the direction of their education to be consumer-oriented and reinforcing lifelong education in preparation for the rapid advance of science and technology and the globalization, opening and informatization of the world. With the reinforcement of consumer-oriented education and lifelong education, the role of school is emphasized as a ground for lifelong education in community and efforts are being made to use schools and community facilities compositely so that schools may play the role of central facilities in community. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to analyze the relation between lifelong education and school facilities in the educational aspect, and to suggest a basic architectural direction so that schools may play central roles for social, cultural, educational, welfare, and sport activities in community.

언어 영재교육의 필요성과 방향 탐색 (The necessity and direction of verbally gifted education)

  • 본 연구는 현재 시행되고 있는 영재교육에서 상대적으로 적은 관심을 받고 있는 언어 영재 교육의 필요성과 방향을 탐색하기 위한 시도로써 이루어졌다. 과학 문명의 발전을 위해 과학 영재교육이 필요하다면, 인류 문화의 발전을 위해서는 여러 분야의 영재교육이 골고루 이루어져야 한다. 특히 언어가 주가 되는 여러 분야의 전문가들에 의해 우리의 문화, 예술의 경쟁력을 높일 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 효과적인 언어 영재 교육이 이루어지기 위한 준비로서 현재 우리나라 언어 영재교육의 현황을 분석하고, 언어 영재교육의 필요성과 방향을 탐색하여, 언어 영재교육의 내실화를 기할 수 있는 기초를 제공하였다. 언어 영재교육이 올바르게 이루어지기 위해서는 무엇보다도 언어 영재들에 대한 잘못된 인식을 변화시켜 언어 영재 교육의 필요성을 깨닫도록 해야 하며, 언어 영재에 관한 기초 연구를 실시하여 언어 영재성 및 특성을 이해할 수 있어야하며, 언어 영재와 기타 다른 영역의 영재들을 위할 프로그램을 개발하여야한다.

분산전원이 연계된 배전계통에 보호협조기기 평가시스템의 최적운용에 관한 연구 (A study on Optimal Operation of Protection Coordination Devices Evaluation System in Distribution System with Distributed Sources)

  • 최근 배전계통은 정부의 녹색성장 정책으로 태양광, 풍력발전 등과 같은 분산전원의 보급률이 지속적으로 증가되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 분산전원의 연계로 기존 배전계통의 조류흐름은 단방향(One-direction)에서 양방향(Bi-direction)으로 변화되고, 고장전류의 증 감이 발생하는 등, 다양한 변화가 생겨 배전계통의 운용상에 여러 가지 문제점들이 발생할 가능성이 커지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 분산전원의 배전계통 연계에 따른 보호기기의 정정 및 양방향 보호협조 검토가 가능한 보호협조 평가알고리즘과 실제의 사고전류 값을 이용한 개선된 T-C곡선 알고리즘을 제안하고, 이 알고리즘을 바탕으로 양방향 보호협조 평가시스템을 개선하였다. 또한 평가시스템을 이용하여 배전계통을 모델링하고, 분산전원 연계 시 보호기기들 간의 보호협조를 검토하여, 분산전원이 연계된 경우 배전계통에 발생할 수 있는 기술적인 문제점들을 분석하여 그 방안을 제시하였다.

주부교육 활성화를 위한 기초연구 - 전문가, 운영자 및 실무자의 의견을 토대로- (A Basic Study on the Fundamental Issues about the Housewife Education from the Experts' and the Managers' Pespective)

  • The 18 housewife education experts and managers suggested various elements about the fundamental issues about the housewife education through the open-end questionnaire. In this review we first examine the education's proper direction over the three dimensions of housewife herself, family and society. In the second section, we explore the contents and the specific programs of the education. In the third section, we discuss about the various aspects of program development and operation, for example, the time schedule, program operator or lecturer, and curriculum design. In particular, all the experts and managers emphasizes the needs of housewives and tole of reproduced lecturer. In the last section, we revisit the strategies to vitalize the housewife education. They stressed the proper subjects, the encouraging methods to improve the participation rate and the government support.

4차 산업혁명 시대 한국형 메이커 교육의 방향성 탐색 (Exploring the Direction of Korean Maker Education for Activating Maker's Movement in the 4th Industrial Revolution)

  • In the 4th industrial revolution, the maker movement is spreading around the world with the fusion of advanced technology with product manufacturing. Already in developed countries such as the US and Japan, the emphasis is on maker education that integrates education into traditional makers' movement. Through this, we are fostering young talents who will lead the fourth industrial revolution era. Domestic maker education is mainly performed in the maker space, and is limited to the IT field using Arduino and App-Inventor. Therefore, it has the limitation of fostering IT-oriented makers. Therefore, it is affecting the proliferation of the maker's movement because of the difficulty of participation of the general public. The purpose of this study was to understand the characteristics of maker 's movement and to suggest the direction of Korean maker education. In order to accomplish the purpose of research, we analyzed the case of convergent maker education at D Creation Economic Innovation Center, which combines IT and culture technology. We conducted a case study on maker education(VR production project, electronic publishing, beads craft, leather craft, IoT) which was held from July 8 to August 30, 2017 five times. We conducted interviews with five preliminary makers who participated in all the courses of the education, and five instructors who acted as professional makers with pre- developed questionnaires. The results of the study were derived by applying the Thematic Analysis method after opening the contents of the interview. Based on the results of the study, we could suggest characteristics of Korean makers and future direction of maker education.
