영상처리를 통한 팬터그래프-전차선로 동편위 추출 기술 개발 (Development of an Image Processing Based Method for Dynamic Stagger Extraction of Pantograph-Overhead Contact Line System)

  • The pantograph-overhead contact line system is an interface that supplies power to high-speed trains used in many countries including Korea. Due to the fact that power is supplied through direct contact between contact wires and contact strips, wear may occur, increasing the possibility of accidents over periods of time. Therefore, there is a need to establish methods of effectively extracting safety related parameters. In this paper, an image processing based method that calculates and draws graphs of a pantograph's dynamic stagger is proposed. To assess reliability, the results were compared with data collected from conventional maintenance vehicles.

  • 본 연구에서는 레이저광선의 투영을 이용한 접촉각측정기구가 개발되었다. 이 새로운 방법은 편평한 표면분만 아니라 직격이 가는 섬유를 포함한 굴곡진 표면에서는 stationary, advancing그리고 receding contact angle-을 신속하고 정확하게 측정할 수 있게 하여 준다. 가는 레이저광선이 액체와 고체사이 계면의 끝을 통과하여 tangent screen의 각도를 재는 눈금상에 중심으로부터 방사상으로 두개의 선이 나타나게 된다. 이때 눈금상에 투영된 두개의 레이저광선 사이의 각도를 접촉각으로 결정한다. 이 새로운 기구를 사용한 결과, PMMA(Perspex-CQ)상에서의 접촉각은 문헌상의 접촉각과 일치함으로써 간편하고 정확한 접촉각 측정법임을 입증할 수 있었다.

Hand Gesture Recognition Suitable for Wearable Devices using Flexible Epidermal Tactile Sensor Array

  • With the explosion of digital devices, interaction technologies between human and devices are required more than ever. Especially, hand gesture recognition is advantageous in that it can be easily used. It is divided into the two groups: the contact sensor and the non-contact sensor. Compared with non-contact gesture recognition, the advantage of contact gesture recognition is that it is able to classify gestures that disappear from the sensor's sight. Also, since there is direct contacted with the user, relatively accurate information can be acquired. Electromyography (EMG) and force-sensitive resistors (FSRs) are the typical methods used for contact gesture recognition based on muscle activities. The sensors, however, are generally too sensitive to environmental disturbances such as electrical noises, electromagnetic signals and so on. In this paper, we propose a novel contact gesture recognition method based on Flexible Epidermal Tactile Sensor Array (FETSA) that is used to measure electrical signals according to movements of the wrist. To recognize gestures using FETSA, we extracted feature sets, and the gestures were subsequently classified using the support vector machine. The performance of the proposed gesture recognition method is very promising in comparison with two previous non-contact and contact gesture recognition studies.

T 세포 접촉에 의한 단핵구 활성화에서 ${\beta}_2$ Integrin의 역할에 관한 면역화학적 연구 (Immunochemical study on the Role of ${\beta}_2$ Integrin in the Activation of Monocytes Upon Direct Contact with T Lymphocytes)

  • The modulation of leukocyte cell surface adhesion molecules may influence the development of cellular events that determine the course of the inflammatory process. Direct interaction between activated T cells and monocytes resulted in a large production of $IL-1{\beta}$ by monocytes. In this reactions, adhesion molecules play an important part, yet the role of them in Tmonocytes interaction remain unclear. This study was undertaken in an effort to elucidate, 1) the influence of 1.25(OH)$_2D_3-induced$ differentiation on the monocyte responsiveness to direct contact with T lymphocytes, and 2) the role of adhesion molecules on the T-monocyte direct interaction. Initially, I observed that direct contact of monocyte cell line THP-1 with stimulated fixed T cell line HuT78 markedly induces IL-1${\beta}$ production by THP-1. $IL-1{\beta}$ production was higher when THP-1 had been previously exposed to 1.25(OH)$_2D_3$ as compared to control, with ${\alpha}$- 1.25(OH)$_2D_3$ dose-dependent and exposure time-dependent manner. It was shown that 1.25(OH)$_2D_3$ also increased the expression of ${\beta}_2$ integrin adhesion receptor Mac-1(CD11b/CD18) dose- and timedependently, but did not increase the expression of human leukocyte antigen- D(HLA-D) and intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1). The $IL-1{\beta}$ producing activity of THP-1 cells correlated well with the ability to induce the Mac-1 expression on THP-1 surface. Monoclonal antibody raised against relevant cell surface glycoproteins on THP-1 were tested for their ability to block the response of THP-1 to T cells. Antibody to Mac-1 only partially blocked $IL-1{\beta}$ production by THP-1, whereas antibodies to ICAM-1 and HLA-D did not. These data indicate that regulation of Mac-1 expression on THP-1 cells can alter the responsiveness of these cells to contact by activated T cells, however other unknown structures on the THP-1 cells may be involved in this process also.

Electrochemical Properties of Lithium Sulfur Battery with Silicon Anodes Lithiated by Direct Contact Method

  • It is hard to employ the carbon materials or the lithium metal foil for the anode of lithium sulfur batteries because of the poor passivation in ether-based electrolytes and the formation of lithium dendrites, respectively. Herein, we investigated the electrochemical characteristics of lithium sulfur batteries with lithiated silicon anode in the liquid electrolytes based on ether solvents. The silicon anodes were lithiated by direct contact with lithium foil in a 1M lithium bis(trifluoromethane sulfonyl) imide (LiTFSI) solution in 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME) and 1,3-dioxolane (DOL) at a volume ratio of 1:1. They were readily lithiated up to ~40% of their theoretical capacity with a 30 min contact time. In particular, the carbon mesh reported in our previous work was employed in order to maximize the performance by capturing the dissolved polysulfide in sulfur cathode. The reversible specific capacity of the lithiated silicon-sulfur batteries with carbon mesh was 1,129 mAh/g during the first cycle, and was maintained at 297 mAh/g even after 50 cycles at 0.2 C, without any problems of poor passivation or lithium dendrite formation.

Experimental study of sodium fire and its characteristics under the coupling action of columnar liquid sodium flow and concrete

  • The complex coupling relationship between liquid sodium and concrete materials affects both the sodium fire characteristics and concrete properties through heat and chemical erosion. In this study, experiments on direct and indirect (separated by a steel plate) contact of the columnar sodium fire with the concrete surface were performed. It was found that the combustion efficiency of liquid sodium in direct contact with concrete was significantly enhanced and accompanied by intermittent explosions and splashing of small concrete fragments. The sodium fire on the surface of the concrete considerably increased the internal temperature, pore size, and distribution density of the concrete. In addition, the depth of influence on the loosening of the concrete structure was also greatly extended. The contact of liquid sodium with the concrete substantially affected its permeability resistance. The water absorption of the concrete surface was increased by more than 70% when liquid sodium directly impacted the bare concrete surface. However, the change in water absorption in the centre of the concrete was primarily affected by the duration of the external heat.

직류 계전기의 접촉구조에 의한 고주파수 소음저감 (Towards reducing acoustical high-frequency noise of a direct current relay via contact structure)

  • 직류 계전기는 전기자동차의 하나의 부품으로 간헐적으로 고주파수 소음이 710 Hz ~ 730 Hz의 주파수 범위에서 전기적 부하에 의해 발생한다. 고정접점과 가동접점 사이에서 발생하는 전자 반발력이 가동접점과 접압 스프링을 진동시키고, 그 진동으로 가동접점과 접압 스프링에 공진이 발생하여 고주파수 소음이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 수치해석 및 실험을 통하여 고주파수 소음의 원인을 규명하고, 소음을 제거하는 방안을 제시하였다. 710 Hz ~ 730 Hz의 주파수 범위에서 가동접점은 고정접점과의 2개의 접촉점을 기준으로 회전하는 공진모드가 발생한다. 따라서 해당 여기서 제안한 방법은 공진모드를 제거하기 위해 가동접점의 구조를 2점 접촉구조 방식에서 3점 접촉구조 방식으로 변경하는 것이다. 3점 접촉구조를 적용함에 따라 공진모드가 제거되는 것을 수치해석으로 확인하였고, 실험적으로도 고주파수 소음이 발생하지 않는 것을 확인하였다.

A Study on Non-Contact Care Robot System through Deep Learning

  • 한국이 초고령사회로 진입하면서 노인 복지에 대한 필요성이 증가하고 있으나 현재 복지 인력 부족이 사회문제로 대두되고 있다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 노인의 사회적 고립감 완화와 위급 상황 시 비상 연락 등의 기능을 하는 노인 돌봄 로봇이 활발히 연구되고 있다. 하지만 이러한 기능들은 사용자의 접촉이 있어야만 작동하여 기존 노인 돌봄 로봇의 한계점으로 자리 잡고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 문제를 해결하기 위해 상용화된 노인 돌봄 로봇과 카메라를 통해 직접적인 접촉 없이도 사용자와 상호작용할 수 있는 돌봄 로봇 시스템을 제안한다. 돌봄 로봇에 연결된 엣지 디바이스에 표정 인식 모델과 행동 인식 모델을 탑재하였고, 공공데이터를 통해 모델의 학습 및 성능검증을 진행했다. 실험 결과를 통해 표정 인식과 행동 인식의 성능이 각각 정확도 96.5%, 90.9%인 것을 확인할 수 있으며, 수행 시간의 경우에는 각각 50ms, 350ms인 것을 확인할 수 있다. 해당 결과는 제안한 시스템의 표정 및 행동 인식 정확도가 높고 추론 시간이 효율적임을 확인하며, 이는 비접촉 상황에서도 원활한 상호작용을 가능하게 한다.

DSF의 성형조건 변화가 전사성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (An study of transcription by processing conditions of Direct Surface Forming Method)

  • Recently, the market share of the thin-film-transistor liquid-crystalline-display (TFT-LCD) is growing rapidly in display device market. The backlight unit is used as a light source of TFT-LCD module. A light-guide is one of several important components of backlight unit. The manufacturing technology and optical system design of the light guide is very sensitive to quality and cost of the TFT-LCD module. In the present study a new manufacturing method which is called as direct surface forming(DSF) has been tested under various conditions. The result of this test, V-groove pattern shows different shapes depends on the temperature of mold surface, contact time of mold and depth of V-groove.

  • Sensitivity analysis scheme is developed in the elasto-plastic finite element method with explicit time integration using direct differentiation method. The direct differentiation is concerned with the time integration, constitutive relation, shell element with reduced integration and the contact scheme. Sensitivity analysis results are mainly examined with the highly nonlinear and quasi-static problem with the complicated contact condition. The result shows stable sensitivity especially in the sheet metal forming analysis.
