  • This paper proposes a method of implementation of digital convergence platform(DCP) which enable the service of broadcasting, communication, multimedia and home automation. Also digital convergence platform based on MPEG-21 multimedia framework can be a model to provide a distributed electronic commerce environment of multimedia and to manage of it. Platform hardware is implemented using a general purpose CPU and high performance digital signal processor and has peripheral units for network and multi I/O. It is able to run applications of multimedia which has variable formats on DSP. In addition, a personal transaction of multimedia packaged with MPEG-21 multimedia framework is provided on digital convergence platform. Like this, digital convergence platform bring up a new architecture of multimedia systems using a new generation network.

  • In this paper, new polyphase sequences and a sequence generation method are suggested. These sequences are found to have good correlation properties. Since the suggested generation method consists only of integer sums and modular techniques, sequence generation is also easy. The performance of the sequences is investigated when used in QS-CDMA systems under frequency selective, time nonselective, slow Nakagami fading channel with additive white Gaussian noise.

  • Parametric min-cuts is an object proposal algorithm, which can be used for accurate image segmentation. In parametric min-cuts, foreground seeds generation plays an important role since the number and quality of foreground seeds have great effect on its efficiency and accuracy. To improve the performance of parametric min-cuts, this paper proposes a new framework for foreground seeds generation. First, to increase the odds of finding objects, saliency detection at multiple scales is used to generate a large set of diverse candidate seeds. Second, to further select good-quality seeds, a two-stage cascaded ranking classifier is used to filter and rank the candidates based on their appearance features. Experimental results show that parametric min-cuts using our seeding strategy can obtain a relative small pool of proposals with high accuracy.

  • Photovoltaic power generation system is one of new renewable energy sources. Such distributed power generation system has important issues for the system management ad operating after its installation. To solve the problem, remote monitoring and control systems can be employed. In this paper, LabVBEW based monitoring and control system is proposed for efficient management and operation of the photovoltaic power generation system. Interface method between monitoring part and DSP controller is given in detail. The proposed system is verified through experiments using a grid-connected photovoltaic power generation system.

  • Recently there has been a growing interest in the investigation and development of the next generation web - the Semantic Web. From the perspective of a information science, the next generation web - Semantic Web is a metadata initiative. It is reason that one of important stage of Semantic Web Construction is adding formal metadata that describes a Web resource's content and so people can find easy material using metadata. In this paper, 1 designed new application profile metadata architecture as a way to serve as interoperability between various open digital libraries using different information architecture in Semantic Web environment. Based on new application profile metadata architecture, 1 developed union metadata automatic generation and union search algorithm to integrate heterogeneous huge-scale metadata in the open digital library.

  • This study investigates the impact of Generation Z's consumer characteristics on the E-commerce industry using data from 60 respondents through an online survey. Generation Z, accustomed to the digital environment and quickly adopting new technologies, is noted as a strong consumer group. The study results indicate that value-driven and digital-friendly consumption significantly impact E-commerce usage. This suggests that E-commerce companies should enhance the digital experience and emphasize social responsibility and ethical values in their marketing strategies. These findings provide foundational data for effectively analyzing and responding to Generation Z's consumer characteristics in the E-commerce market.

  • In the last few years, banks have experienced more challenging market than any other times. They need to find new ways to reconnect with their customers and rebuild their trust. But in the race to the future some banks are taking clear lead. Research works show that while high perform leading banks are different, they also share some common characteristics and principles that have allowed them to move ahead to profitable growth. Cost cutting is no longer enough to succeed in tomorrow's world. Instead, the IT function needs to work shoulder-to-shoulder with the business to support the growth agenda. Therefore "C" level's attention is moving from cost reduction towards customer experience, speeding to market for new offerings, analytics and distribution channel enhancements, taking advantage of several levers that will shape the technology agenda for the high performing organization. Next generation of digital core-banking solutions will improve pre-existing capabilities, introduce new innovations and drive qualities such as flexibility and scalability to support time to market.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze about the extension of user experience in the digital space. Through the digital technology and virtual space, the city's new environment is being changed. it makes people activate their aesthetic experience. Simultaneously, it elevates satisfaction levels regarding people's aesthetic experience. Research methods and settings of the range to study on the Extension of User Experience are as follows: First, establish digital space's characteristics comparing digital space at the structural change-points in modern society. Second, experience's approch way through the digital media in the contemporary space. And understand the concept about a variety of User Experience. Third. to classify the elements of access control for the user experience. Experience is being expanded through the generation process. Fourth, investigate analysis of the case studies, focused on the architecture and space design_Media installations that appear in the city park, the city's landmark buildings facade, the building facade by offering commercially applied for brand marketing_ announced through the media recently. Also, it is to look at the physical elements through digital media and to analyze the applicability of the public space. Therefore, the new approach to digital implementation shall be determined by looking in the direction of the user approaches.

A Study on the Type and Character of Apparel Brand Names for the Net-Generation (N세대 의류 브랜드명의 유형분류와 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to explane the Net generation's characters appearing in the apparel brand naming for them. For this study, first I was trying to explane the New generation characters, second 45 apparel brands were selected by market research and questionaire survey was conducted on 53 the Net generation collage women of age 20 thru 21. Third, the apparel brands were classified into four types according to the characters reflecting in the apparel brand naming : First, the apparel brand type using the figures such as STORM=292513, 1492Miles. Second, the apparel brand type that two or more words are abbreviated into one word. Third, the apparel brand type containing more than one meaning in a brand naming or spelling the words as it pronunciate. Fourth, the apparel brand type using of slang. In conclusion, These types of the apparel brands were related to characters of the New generation, i.e., they who have grown in the advance of digital civilization are skilled in the communication through computer, internet and mobile phone, so that they are familiar with the figures, combined words, or abbreviated words etc. Also, they have individual, sensitivity character and seek after individuality, current fashion. They have also a tendency to accept various the sense of value, while they have a refusing tendency a custom or convention which the older generation has conformited.

  • This paper identifies current status and key determinants of participation in multimedia UCC as a web2.0 paradigm. Significant factors composed of IT digital convergence environments and young generation's value, attitude to connecting to web (human relation, visual expressionism, arousal, et al). This paper analyze multimedia UCC service status & current status of participation level of UCC users. The research implemented to analysis customer click streaming data (inter-temporary page-view, unique user)of small-mid multimedia UCC Company and to 2nd data(ww.rankey.com) for page-view and unique user to participation tendency by age and sex about total participation amount of multimedia UCC. In case of young generation be familiar with new internet service, Internet web space meaning important information seeking media and 1 person media able to connect to new web network as prosumer. In UCC centered internet business, web based customers implemented the role of prosumer as generate web contents and consuming to net-working.
