This letter introduces an efficient transmission of traffic information through a terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting system, which is a multimedia and mobility empowered option of the European digital audio broadcasting system. By adapting Korean characteristic traffic information into the transport protocol expert group messages in the traffic information delivery, a highly efficient traffic information system was implemented and tested in Korea.

This paper proposes a method of implementation of digital convergence platform(DCP) which enable the service of broadcasting, communication, multimedia and home automation. Also digital convergence platform based on MPEG-21 multimedia framework can be a model to provide a distributed electronic commerce environment of multimedia and to manage of it. Platform hardware is implemented using a general purpose CPU and high performance digital signal processor and has peripheral units for network and multi I/O. It is able to run applications of multimedia which has variable formats on DSP. In addition, a personal transaction of multimedia packaged with MPEG-21 multimedia framework is provided on digital convergence platform. Like this, digital convergence platform bring up a new architecture of multimedia systems using a new generation network.

Our platform introduced in this paper is based on DAVIC specifications which define high quality multimedia services with some extensions to provide user friendly and uniform interface to its users. We designed and implemented an integrated service platform for high quality interactive multimedia services, swithed digital broadcasting, and Internet services. The integration in terms of a service provider system, a delivery system, and a service user system is taken into account. Our research results in the development of integrated high quality interactive and digital broadcasting multimedia services with web-based common user interface and its experience will be feedback to the field trial service which will be launched from next year.

Digital Twin, one of the core technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, is attracting attention as a very suitable technology for disaster monitoring such as fires and earthquakes. In this paper, we implement a system equipped with UWB RTLS(Ultra-Wideband Real Time Location System), real-time remote control, and video streaming, which are element technologies for disaster monitoring digital twin. Since the proposed system structure is based on a cloud server, the actual location of the UWB indoor positioning-based client is transmitted to the user device in real time and stored on the cloud server for statistical and data analysis. In addition, we demonstrate through experiments that outliers occurs when the value of RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) decreases due to communication collisions between UWB Tags, and propose an RSSI outlier correction algorithm to solve this problem.

A new transmission system is necessary for the Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) service in Korea. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new architecture for the implementation of a DMB transmission system based on Eureka-147. We describe the design and implementation of the Ensemble remultiplexer, which is essential to the proposed system for remultiplexing ETI frames and MPEG-2 transport streams. The proposed system provides a solution with high flexibility and low cost for multimedia broadcasting service. The functions of this transmission system have been verified by using our DMB receiver and other related systems.

Digital twin has the advantages of quality improvement and cost reduction, so it is widely applied to various industries. In this paper, a method to implement the major technologies of digital twin easily and quickly is presented. These include data management and relay servers, real-time monitoring applications including remote control interfaces, and direct connection protocols for video streaming. In addition, an algorithm for controlling a two-wheeled vehicle with a 2D interface is also proposed. The implemented system performs near real-time synchronization between the real environment and the virtual space. The delay time that occurs in remote control of the vehicle in the real environment was compared with the results of applying the proposed delay time reduction method. In addition, in the case of 2D interface-based control, an algorithm that can guarantee the user experience was implemented and applied to the actual environment and verified through experiments.

Layered structure of the Korean terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (TDMB) transmission system for multimedia broadcasting service is presented in this paper. We made a switching module which is called the Ensemble Remultiplexer. It is designed to remultiplex the Ensemble Transport Interface (ETI) for T-DMB service. This paper describes the remultiplexing process of the Ensemble Remultiplexer.

This paper describes a digital convergence platform(DCP) which is implemented based on the MPEG-21 multimedia framework. DCP is a newly proposed solution in this research for the convergence service of future home multimedia environment. DCP is a common platform designed to have the feature of reconfigurability, by means of S/W. which supports to run diverse digital multimedia services. A distributed peer to peer service and transaction model is also a new feature realized in DCP using the MPEG-21 multimedia framework. A prototype DCP is implemented to verify its functions of multimedia service and transactions. The developed DCPs are networked with IP clustering storage systems for the distributed service of multimedia. Successful streaming services of the MPEG-2/4 video and audio are verified with the implemented test-bed system of DCP.

In this letter, we present a layered structure of the Korean terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (TDMB) transmission system for multimedia broadcasting service and introduce a device called the Ensemble Remultiplexer which is designed to remultiplex the Ensemble Transport Interface (ETI) for T-DMB service. This letter describes the remultiplexing process of the Ensemble Remultiplexer.

본 논문은 분산 멀티미디어에서의 결함 허용 시스템에 대해서 기술 하였다. 본 시스템은 분산 멀티미디어 공동 작업에 참여한 사용자들이 다른 참여자들에게 같은 뷰로써 동기화된 오류 객체들을 참조할 수 있도록 구축하였다. 분산 멀티미디어 환경은 IP-USN과 M2M에 기반을 두고 있다. 본 시스템은 축제를 여는 장소처럼 분산 멀티미디어 협동 작업 환경에서 소프트웨어 오류를 감지, 공유, 복구하기에 적합한 시스템이다. 이 시스템에 의해서 오류를 동기화 할 수 있다.
