  • The latest advances in great revolution for digital media and contents industries with Ubiquitous era. Because of spread and supply of various multimedia devices with combination digital with network, we need various type of digital contents. The Digital contents consists of Middleware industries, network business, contents service presenters and users. For supporting digital media. contents and media devices have been converging Digital contents convergence has been proceeding rapidly in media, broadcast and communication field. And also, whole Environment for these industries has been changing, too. Wee need another digital contents convergence for new type of products and services because of convergence of IT and broadcast. In addition, new business trends is very important about these new industrial change and developments with digital contents convergence.

  • The advance of All-IP digital convergence is now triggering fundamental changes in the media industry. This article analyzes the evolution of the media industry based on a value chain model, with a special emphasis placed on the impact of digital technology on the structure of media production, distribution, and consumption. As the Internet has evolved into an access channel for all forms of media, the boundaries of the media industry remain unclear and open thus enabling anyone to become a creator of media. Furthermore, the scope of media continues to become more dynamic as competition grows between older and more innovative forms of media. In this light, adapting to innovative technologies and more effectively meeting the needs of customers represent key factors for the continued evolution of the media.

  • The media industry influenced by digital convergence is developing in the direction which the media consumers change their passive attitudes for positive participation on the base of the interactivity of convergence media of telecommunication and broadcasting. And content is progressing toward on-demand service which is customer-oriented and open. In light of these findings, interactivity is the most important feature which is able to shift the paradigm of the media industry and critical success factors which should be considered in order to plan the media strategy. This study is aimed at shedding light on the effects of interactivity factors, which are main factors of ubiquitous environment, on consumer's acceptance intention and describing the role of perceived interactivity and awareness of media substitution in the process of formation of acceptance intention..

  • The convergence paradigm that appears with the integrated media environment has effect on digital storytelling using digital technology, then 'Trans-media storytelling' which is a new form of digital storytelling makes gradual expand its scope. This study focused on the Alternative Reality Game which adopt trans-media storytelling in the game genre. This paper interpreted the idea of ARG on comparing different forms of ARG and existing games and the distinctive features of ARG storytelling which is blurring the line between real and virtual on the Simulation theory. This is a valuable study for understanding the new storytelling form within the media convergence and developing the digital storytelling in the future.

  • Digital Signage is outdoor media to provide each content and message through digital displays instead that posters and signs are displayed on public facilities. Recently, digital signage have been popular to deliver variety information and advertising on the rapid development of intelligent digital imaging devices based LCD, LED. Continuously digital signage demand and market are growing because digital signage feature is able to capable of interactive communication. Digital signage is expected that digital advertising market is continue rising in spite of global economic downturn at various research institutions, and it is expected to replace traditional media advertising in a new way with the coming digital signage at convergence media side.

  • Domestic digital signage industry has been growing in line with the Internet and intelligent devices like smart phones. However, policies for digital signage need to be supplemented because existing policies are only focused on regulations for outdoor advertisements. Moreover, while digital technologies have been developed, there are few contents technologies to support the digital technologies. In this context, this research aims to identify the problems in relation to the domestic digital signage industry and seek for measures to solve the problems. Various case studies and literature review were conducted to identify problems in terms of policy, technology and service, and measures for revitalizing the digital signage industry were suggested. The research is expected to help digital signage to serve as new convergence media available for customization targeting and user participation.

  • This study is to analyze the present publishing media in order to grasp the trend of data development and distribution. For this, I analyze the present tendency, concentrating indices of diagram, dividing into traditional book and e-book. It also discusses the viewpoint extracted from the problems related to the data development and distribution of publishing media. Traditional books and e-books have been expending to add newly updated convergence media in digital media era in which internet represents. I discuss these changes to convergence media for the realization of 'ubiquitous' mean the evolution to transmit propagational elements from proper character of traditional book. By the same token, I examine prospect of increasing digital publishing media and other problems before distribution.

  • Culture is the soul of tourism, and communication is the key to the inheritance and development of tourism culture. Therefore, culture and communication are essential for the development of tourism. Digital media art is a new form of art that combines technical, artistic, and media-oriented elements. Its artistic expression and crossover communication capabilities drive its usage in cultural tourism communication. This paper examines the influence of digital media art on tourism culture communication and development by elucidating the concept and characteristics of tourism culture communication and digital media art, applying the theoretical knowledge of communication, and deriving the specific characteristics of digital media art on tourism culture in terms of the transmission-reception relationship, content, medium, and effect. The role and value of digital media art in disseminating and developing tourism culture are discussed. We aim to provide valuable insights for the dissemination of tourism culture.

  • In recent trends, the first age of digital device usage has been significantly getting low and the using frequencies for younger generation have been gradually increasing. Also, while there were more negative opinions of this trend in the past, the new idea is changing to more needs of training and approaches for children's sound using guidelines for digital device. In fact, people believe the new generation will face more advanced future, called the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The purpose of the paper is first to explain about the Jacques Lacan's concept of desire theory in order to understand the human's unconscious level through His desire theory. Second, the paper identifies how this unconscious level is affected to ethical aspects of new generations whose unconscious level are frequently and early exposed to digital media. Lastly, the paper will present the necessity of digital literacy education as well as future direction. Furthermore, the paper review for what is the ethics and positive guidelines of digital media for children who will become the future citizens in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
