This study attempts to clarify inter-relationship between design expression in the surface of contemporary multi-family housing and physical trends in this digital age. The study examines characteristics of housing design influenced from new digital technology in the forms of metaphor such as dematerialization, fluidity and mobility. Currently constructed multi-family housing in Europe after 1990 has been analyzed to find digital reflections in the surfaces. As a conclusion, findings are as follows; In this digital age, a house is considered as a base in the forms of boxes and containers to network to outer worlds. In a complex of multi-family housing, public spaces move to the inside and become parts of private domain. Therefore, a house directly faces a street/outer world without transitional areas and devices. The facades of housing become delicate skins to control private domain in the inside and the world in the outside. In this digital age, the surfaces of housing are designed by ways of wrapping and screening. Printing and mapping methods are used to surface design because they are manipulative and flexible methods in design like graphic design. Screening devices using louvers and shutters are powerful tools to make random and unpredictable images. If units of a louver and a shutter were pixels, a whole surface would be a digital screen. In such assumption, the facade of buildings reflects digital screen to interface while the louvers in operation reflect clicking to network. As a conclusion, design expression in surfaces in-between of multi-family housing is a metaphor of digital mechanism.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the application experience and observation of young children's teachers' digital devices. The participants of this study were 6 young children teachers using digital devices. Individual interviews were conducted as a data collection method. It was conducted 2-3 times per research participant. Data collection was conducted from November to December 2020. The Data analysis was focused on the young children's teachers' digital device application experience and observation use. 'Easy and simple use', 'using existing familiar apps', 'providing healing to teachers', and 'improving the utilization of spare time' were derived as early childhood teachers' experience of applying digital devices. 'Easy use of observation records', 'Use together in various ways', 'Use for parent counseling', 'Use appropriate for observation of revised Nuri Curriculum' through early childhood teacher's experience of observing digital devices ' was derived. As a conclusion of this study, first, it is easy for young children's teachers to apply digital devices to the field. Second, if young children's teachers use digital devices, they can make a wide range of observations, enabling high-quality early childhood education practices.
All kinds of artwork, including multimedia and digital image that has been subliminated into an af mediating two numbers 0 and 1 in recent age, are self-sufficient and autonomous in themselves. Nevertheless, each of those artworks can be realized as a real entity only if its appreciator is capable enough to explore some potential meaning out of it through his or her own perceptual work. According to Mikel Dufrenne, an artwork is composed of three existential tiers: "le sensible" or the sensible material; "fe representation" or the subject(le sujet), and "1′expression." Dufrenne contends that our esthetic perception can be realized by way of three steps that are comparable to those three tiers: perception of the presence of the body("le sensible"), contemplative perception by way of imagination("le representation"), and reflective perception ("1′expression") as a result of dialectics of sense and sensibility. This paper argues on the aesthetic perception with regard to digital image expressed by two numbers 0 and 1, putting focus on the epistemological role of sensibility(감) that explores "1′expression" a la Dufrenne.
In this study, we combine information hiding technique with digital contents protection scheme. For providing secure distribution on digital contents, a new paradigm can be proposed after considering both watermarking and fingerprinting techniques. In detail, publicly verifiable digital signature schemes are applied into digital contents. On signing digital copyrights, we can publicly verify its correctness if needed.
In this paper, we are concerned with a digital fingerprinting scheme for multi-purchase where a buyer wants to buy more than a digital content. If we apply previous schemes to multi-purchase protocol, the number of execution of registration step and decryption key should be increased in proportion to that of digital contents to be purchased in order to keep unlinkability. More worse, most of fingerprinting schemes in the literature are based on either secure multi-party computation or general zero-knowledge proofs with very high computational complexity. These high complexities complicate materialization of fingerprinting protocol more and more. In this paper, we propose a multi-purchase fingerprinting scheme with lower computational complexity. In the proposed scheme, a buyer executes just one-time registration step regardless of the number of contents to be purchased. The number of decryption key is constant and independent of the number of contents to be purchased. We can also reduce the computational costs of buyers by introducing a concept of proxy-based fingerprinting protocol.
A tryout is a series of process optimization for robust stamping before transfer to the press shop. During tryout, the drawbead control, blank shape determination, binder surface modification, etc., are carried out mainly by a trial-and-error approach. As the level of difficulty of the stamping process increases, the formability becomes more sensitive to the contour of deformed shape, i.e. the blank shape. A digital tryout technique, which simulates a real tryout process, is proposed in this study for challenging stamping processes. Since digital tryout is carried out on a desktop, not in a press shop, a precise control of the deformed contour can be achieved if an optimal blank design technique is utilized. In this work, the proposed digital tryout technique is validated by successful applications to different automotive parts.

A conventional digital receiver sampled a baseband signal and processed it digitally for demodulation. But now we can sample at sufficiently high speed a wideband signal to take enough discrete data values due to the advent of economic high-speed ADC. With this technical background, a wideband frequency-division-multiplexed signal can be undersampled and channelized in digital domain by DFT analysis filter using the theory of polyphase. In this paper, we propose a new digital receiver which can digitally process the multichannel received signal by sampling at IF band, develop a mathematical theory and algorithm, and analyze the performance by using C-language simulaation. The proposed receiver can demodulate analog and digital FM signals.
In this paper a new OSD (On-Screen Display) development system for digital devices is presented. The proposed system is an example of the ubiquitous systems because it can be used to co-develop an OSD tn any time at any place if the web can be accessed. In UI, OSD is an important pan of digital devices. Especially, OSD implementations for multiple languages are essential to export digital devices and make them user-friendly. The proposed system consists of four components: font editor, menu editor. R/C simulator, and screen editor. It provides all the functions to develop an OSD and the result can be downloaded to a digital device. The proposed system was used to develop an OSD for 31 countries and the lead time of development was reduced from 52.7 days to 20 days.

Recent marine propulsion diesel engines tend to become slower in speed and longer in stroke for the higher engine efficiency, and in these long stroke and slow speed engines the digital governors are highly recommended to be used. But, in the present digital governors only the feedback of the engine rpm-signal is used for the engine speed control. If the load torque of the engine can be measured or estimated and the torque feedback loop is added to the present digital governor, it is expected that the speed control performance of the digital governor will be highly improved. In this paper, a new method is proposed to estimate the load torque of the diesel engine from the measured signals of fuel oil and rpm. And it is also suggested that the Kalman filter can be used for the estimation of engine torque.

Chilli reservoir is agricultural purpose reservoir made in 1945. But its bottom is covered with thick accumulated sewage layer, so its original function has failed. This study conducted cadastral state surveying to survey the state of this area prior to dredging the accumulated bottom sewage layer of Chill reservoir. Prior to cadastral state surveying we analyzed the digital map and aerial photographs of study area. In cadastral state surveying, traversed network was constructed on the road and banks near the reservoir, a surveyed map was made by surveying with Auto-reduction EDM Alidade. From the comparison results of the cadastral map and digital map, we found small chilli reservoir is expressed as rice field on the digital map, and it should be corrected. And when we make digital map and topographic map, the errors will be diminished if we use the cadastral map at the same time.
