  • Recent ubiquitous computing environments increasingly impact on our lives using the current technologies of sensor network and ubiquitous services. In this paper, we propose ubiquitous architectural framework for ubiquitous sleep aid service(UbiSAS) in the subset of ubiquitous computing for refreshing of human's sleep. And we examine technical feasibility. Human can recover his health through refreshing sleep from fatigue. Ubiquitous architectural framework for UbiSAS in digital home offers agreeable sleeping environment and improves recovery from fatigue. So we present new concept of ubiquitous architectural framework dissolving stress. Specially, we apply context to context-aware framework module. This context is transferred to context adaptive inference engine which has service invocation function in intelligent agent module. Ubiquitous architectural framework for UbiSAS using context adaptive rule inference engine without user intervention is technical issue. That is to say, we should take sleep comfortably during our sleeping. And sensed information during sleeping is changed to context-aware information. This presents significant information in context adaptive rule inference engine for UbiSAS. This information includes all sleeping state during sleeping in context-aware computing technique. So we propose more effective and most suitable ubiquitous architectural framework using context adaptive rule inference engine for refreshing sleep in this paper.

  • RPersonal area networking technology is becoming increasingly important in enabling useful wireless home applications. For example, Bluetooth and IEEE 802.11b standards are the most commonly deployed technologies for wireless home applications. However, because both standards share the same unlicensed ISM (Industrial, Scientific, Medical) radio spectrum, severe interference is inevitable and performance can be impaired significantly when heterogeneous devices using the two technologies come into close proximity. In this paper, we research Gaussian FSK Bluetooth system, which is an open specification technology for short-range wireless connectivity between electronic devices. In this paper, we analyzes the effects of co-channel interference on the performance of a Gaussian FSK Bluetooth system. Performance criteria used in the study are the signal to interference power ratio (SIR), interference index, and the bit error rate (BER) in the wireless channel. The effect of co-channel interference from various sources on the performance of a Gaussian FSK Bluetooth system is analyzed using an IGA(Impulsive Gaussian Approximation) method, and these quantities are plotted against Eb/No, $\rho$ and SIR for various channel conditions in figures.

  • In a Web 2.0 context, users are exposed to numerous smart devices and services that allow real-time interaction between users (or consumers) and developers (or producers). For the provisioning of new user-created services based on user's context, the data management of service creation experiences becomes a non-trivial task. This article introduces a data model for service creation and then proposes a service creation management architecture which enables new service creation using the data model, the management of the service creation data, and the semantic service discovery across internal/external service repositories. The article also explains the use of the proposed architecture with two different scenarios: home and mobile environments. The proposed architecture for service creation data management offers consistent and seamless handling of the service creation data throughout its usage lifecycle.

However, it also has brought negative results such as splits in locals due to income disparity, and ill-advised development which does not consider surrounding potential resources, etc. So, this study analyzes several problems of Rural Traditional Theme Villages, and proposes how Rural Traditional Theme Villages can be revitalized by benchmarking other successful cases. First, it is important to pursue differentiation of operating programs for Rural Traditional Theme Villages. Second, it is possible to give weight to elements which show efficiently rural atmosphere to enhance images of Rural Traditional Theme Villages. Third, expanding budget support and securing a new route for budget are definitely needed to cultivate self-growth capability of villages. Fourth, it is necessary to apply experts and facilities of local-based universities, cooperate with relevant organizations, and nurture local leaders by various means such as study in/visits to advanced regions at home and abroad and experts training. Localgovernment should be in charge of nurturing talented people. Fifth, it is necessary to reinvigorate rural economy by networking each Rural Traditional Theme Village, providing a wide range of information on diversified villages to people in cities, and promoting consumption. Moreover, securing immovable customers is important through networking city-rural exchange with city consumers and other organizations, and sisterhood relationship, membership businesses and events. As mentioned above, it is expected that Rural Traditional Theme Villages will be able to be developed continuously as a model for rural revitalization, which is stagnant, by expanding city-rural interchange.

  • If visible light communication is to be used against large background noise in indoor environment, low frequency noise should be avoided. To maintain the advantages of LED lighting while transmitting signals, LEDs should be dimmable and free from flickering effect. In this paper, the spectrum of transmission signal is shifted toward high frequency for this purpose. Specifically, we propose a subpulse-VPPM scheme, which can be designed using only digital components, and we implement a test-bed for performance measurement.

  • In this paper, we have implemented UPnP Devices which emulate a Control Point, a Light Controller, and a Digital TV. The Control Point has been developed on Linux host system by using C language. The UPnP Devices emulating the Digital TV and Light Controller are running on embedded linux developer board. For the development of UPnP Devices, UPnP SDK API Vl.04 made by Intel Co. Ltd. has been ported on Assabet Linux Reference board to implement the UPnP protocol. After we analyze and design some services of Digital TV device, we have applied UPnP Device program to those devices. UPnP SDK vl .04 consists of APIs which support HTTP, SSDP, SOAP, GENA and XML DOM Level-1 that are cores of UPnP protocol. The C program written for the UPnP Control Point has been compiled and executed on Linux-based PC. The embedded system running on Embedded Linux OS has been connected all together through Ethernet which allows IP-based communications. Under this environment, the UPnP programs are being executed on each device. Control Point, when in operational mode, discovers UPnP Devices on the network and displays the device list on the consol. By selecting one of the functionalities of the device services that are displayed on the Control Point, the controllability has been accomplished. The experiment that we performed in this thesis have revealed that the Control Point and UPnP Devices have supported the protocols including SSDP, SOAP, GENA, and DHCP.
