In this study, extreme wind speeds in the Western North Pacific (WNP) were estimated using reanalysis wind fields synthesized with an empirical typhoon vortex model. Reanalysis wind data used is the Fifth-generation European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) reanalysis (ERA5) data, which was deemed to be the most suitable for extreme value analysis in this study. The empirical typhoon vortex model used has the advantage of being able to realistically reproduce the asymmetric winds of a typhoon by using the gale/storm-forced wind radii information in the 4 quadrants of a typhoon. Using a total of 39 years of the synthesized reanalysis wind fields in the WNP, extreme value analysis is applied to the General Pareto Distribution (GPD) model based on the Peak-Over-Threshold (POT) method, which can be used effectively in case of insufficient data. The results showed that the extreme analysis using the synthesized wind data significantly improved the tendency to underestimate the extreme wind speeds compared to using only reanalysis wind data. Considering the difficulty of obtaining long-term observational wind data at sea, the result of the synthesized wind field and extreme value analysis developed in this study can be used as basic data for the design of offshore structures.

The project control system based on the actual values of three objects shall be operated continuously in a timely manner. For collecting/tracking accurate actual performance data, a reasonable basis of measuring work performance and its related measuring methods are needed. Therefore, this research proposes a method of developing and operating the construction progress measurement system. The problem of the conventional method is the difficulty to construct control accounts and to define the basis of measuring the performance of each control account. Therefore, this research proposes the preferable, formal methodology that produces the progress value of the smallest work unit by surveying the installed quantities and estimates percent complete of groups of works or entire project by earned value concept. This research in connection with the hereafter research of the weight value of control accounts will contribute to apply in practice and to develop the scientific construction management technique in the construction industry. Further researches how to trend and forecast the project using the measured progress value are recommended for putting the prosed system of this research to practical use.

As the ratio of double-income households and parental leave use increase, there is an increasing demand for products that help when raising children alone. In particular, there is a lot of demand for baby beds that help raise children without difficulty even by themselves. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a real-time monitoring of a smart crib using a sound sensor. The proposed bed uses a sound sensor to detect the child's crying and condition, and the measured sensor output value can be checked with a mobile application. When the sound sensor output value is more than a certain value, a voice file such as a lullaby recorded with the voice of the parents is played, and if the sensor output value is less than a certain value, the playing voice file is stopped. If the sensor output value continues to exist after a certain period of time, a pop-up notification is sent to the mobile application. This allows the child to quickly calm down with a sense of stability and comfort through the recorded voices of the parents, and the parents can remotely monitor the child's condition in real time.
Previously, there were no studies that were not aware of the importance of video, were interested in the educational value of Flipped Learning, and there were many wrong experiments because they did not understand Flipped Learning. Therefore, an accurate understanding of Flipped Learning is needed. This study proposed the caution of video learning of Flipped Learning and presented the papers and grounds to support to examine the educational value of Flipped Learning. A video of the lecture should be produced with a core content of 10 to 15 minutes, and found that the educational value of Flipped Learning lies in self-directed learning, cooperative learning, habruta, overcoming the oblivion curve and metacognition. It is hoped that this study will provide good guidance and direction of education for teachers who have difficulty Flipped Learning.

Being the new paradigm of "knowledge based economy", knowledge asset get to be the key to evaluate the firm's value. For a instance, Scandia firstly informed the intellectual capital report with its own financial statements in 1994. Some financial institutions have emphasized the roles of knowledge assets in the evaluating firm's value, too. But the concept of knowledge asset is so extensively defined that the result of evaluation is not as much reliable as financial statements. As previous studies examined the firm-specific cases, the sectoral pattern of knowledge asset has been ignored and it cause the difficulty in the empirical study. Moreover, the objectivity of study is ambiguous. Therefore, we regards knowledge asset as a technological knowledge asset. Which is related to R&D(research & development) and technology. Because this definition is more measurable than others and can play a frontier role in evaluating the knowledge asset. We extract the criteria related to the technological knowledge asset through the survey of 'Scandia' and other previous studies and add other criteria, which explain the Korean-specific environments. We gather data from "Technological Innovation"(STEPI, 1997, 1999) and "The bibliography of Korean R&D institutes"(KITA,1998) and "the survey of listed company"(Daewoo Securities, 1998. 1999). As the results of empirical study, the variables which explain the financial value of firms do not reflect the 'technological knowledge asset' well. It results from the factors as followings. Firstly, instead of stock price the proxy measurement related to 'knowledge asset' is needed. Secondly, the sample is biased to the large scale firms so we'll collect samples more broadly. Finally, the concept of 'technological knowledge asset' is too narrow to explain the value of firm. We expect the result of this empirical study gives contribution to the evaluation of firms' value more exactly.

This study was carried out to analyze winter cereal crops for harvest time, proper drying time and haylage quality in order to investigate the possibility of the production of good quality haylage substitute for hay. As a result, in case of productivity and feed value, dry matter yield and TDN yield was increased with late harvest and crude protein and NDF, ADF was decreased (p<0.05). To make haylage for whole crop barley, oats, triticale, whole crop wheat need more than 32 hour wilting time in the milk ripe stage, yellow ripe stage need about 8~24 hour, and wilting time did not need the full ripe stage. Rye does not suitable for making haylage because of difficulty pre-wilting time. In case of fermentative quality on haylage, pH was increased with late harvest on all winter cereal crop forage. Lactic acid content was decreased with late harvest (p<0.05), and highest in the milk ripe stage. Acetic acid was also decreased with late harvest, and butyric acid was not detected. In conclusion, to harvest sooner of winter cereal crops could be an efficient way when making haylage in terms of protein content and fermentation quality. Ray can used as fresh and silage, because difficulty for pre-wilting time in Korea. Whole crop barley, oats, triticale, wheat can be used haylage when harvested yellow ripen stage and pre-wilting time for 8~24 hours.
Microalgae are a diverse group of photosynthetic organisms and abundant in every ecosystem in the biosphere. They are common in aqueous environments including marine, brackish and fresh waters and in some habitats that lack eukaryotic life such as some hot springs and highly alkaline lakes. Microalgal biotechnology that is focused on the microalgae-based production of a variety of useful materials such as pharmaceutical comfounds, health foods, natural pigments, and biofuels is considered as an important discipline with the development of biotechnology. In addition, the mass cultivation of microalgae can also contribute to improving the environmental quality by reducing the concentration of $CO_2$ which is one of major gases lead to global warming. Consequently, it seems that the microalgae can be used as an efficient, renewable, environmentally friendly source of high-value biomaterials such as chemicals, pigments, energy, etc. and the microalgal biotechnology will most likely represent a larger portion of modern biotechnology.
Purpose - The objective of this paper is to suggest that a company's CRM activities have an effect on customer loyalty in the Korean retail industry. Typically, Korean customers use large local marts with convenience in the absence of any other choice. Therefore, this study aims to shed light on the fact that customers do not break away from their preferred retail stores, either owing to their stringent loyalty (the lie loyalty) or difficulty in turning to alternative choices. Research design, data, methodology - By surveying a sample of 200 hyper-markets through a questionnaire, and excluding dubious and missing responses, I obtained 181 samples to be included in the empirical analysis. The survey was conducted for two weeks during October 2011. AMOS and SPSS18 statistical packages were used for conducting statistical analysis for this study. This paper was developed using the concept of customer equity on CRM, which is known to have a positive impact on customer loyalty through the satisfaction and switching-barrier parameters. The hypothesis of this paper is that customer equity is composed of relationship equity, value equity and brand equity, and that the relationship equity variable has positive effects on the value equity and brand equity amongst other types of customer equity. Moreover, customer equity influences customer loyalty through parameters including customer satisfaction and switching costs in the Korean retail industry. Results - According to the results of the analysis, it was confirmed that relationship value had a positive effect (+) on all variables, including the perceived QoS (Quality of Service), store brand images, economic value, and store convenience. It was also confirmed that the assumption that the perceived QoS (Quality of Service), economic value, and store convenience had a positive effect on customer satisfaction was shown to be statistically significant, with a p-value below 0.05. Only the store brand value variable had an effect on the switching-cost variable with respect to the causal sequence of the variables, including the perceived QoS, store brand value, economic value, and store convenience. The remaining variables did not seem to influence the switching-cost variable. On the other hand, another effect showed that customer satisfaction had a statistically significant influence on the switching-costs variable. Moreover, the customer satisfaction and switching-cost variables also had a statistical influence on customer loyalty. Conclusions - The CRM activities had an influence on various variables (including perceived QoS, perceived economic value, store brand value, and store convenience) pertaining to customer values. Customer satisfaction and switching-cost had some effects on customer loyalty as a parameter. This confirms that stringent loyalty exists with respect to customer loyalty in the retail industry. The fact that the variable had such a statistically significant influence on the switching-cost and store brand equity variables means that consumers react to the reputation of a brand, confidence about the store, and quality confidence. The implications of this study in the retail industry should be further extended to devise strategies for customer retention.
Although the Java bytecode has numerous advantages, it also has certain shortcomings such as its slow execution speed and difficulty of analysis. In order to overcome such disadvantages, a bytecode analysis and optimization must be performed. The control flow of the bytecode should be analyzed; next, information is required regarding where the variables are defined and used to conduct a dataflow analysis and optimization. There may be cases where variables with an identical name contain different values at different locations during execution, according to the value assigned to a given variable in each location. Therefore, in order to statically determine the value and type, the variables must be separated according to allocation. In order to achieve this, variables can be expressed using a static single assignment form. After transformation into a static single assignment form, the type information of each node expressed by each variable and expression must be configured to perform a static analysis and optimization. Based on the basic type information, this paper proposes a method for finding the related equivalent nodes, setting nodes with strong connection components, and efficiently assigning each node type.

In product or process parameter design, the case of multiple performance characteristics appears more commonly than that of a single characteristic. Numerous methods have been developed to deal with such multi-characteristic parameter design (MCPD) problems. Among these, this paper considers three representative methods, which are respectively based on the desirability function (DF), grey relational analysis (GRA), and principal component analysis (PCA). These three methods are then used to solve the MCPD problems in ten case studies reported in the literature. The performance of each method is evaluated for various combinations of its algorithmic parameters and alternatives. Relative performances of the three methods are then compared in terms of the significance of a design parameter and the overall performance value corresponding to the compromise optimal design condition identified by each method. Although no method is significantly inferior to others for the data sets considered, the GRA-based and PCA-based methods perform slightly better than the DF-based method. Besides, for the PCA-based method, the compromise optimal design condition depends much on which alternative is adopted while, for the GRA-based method, it is almost independent of the algorithmic parameter, and therefore, the difficulty involved in selecting an appropriate algorithmic parameter value can be alleviated.
