In this paper, we designed a tabletop display which enables two viewers each to see a different image simultaneously within his/her defined viewing zone. In order to construct the designed viewing zones, we found the basic design conditions for a parallax barrier with a commercial LCD panel. As the viewing zones for two viewers are formed with only two view-point design, the interval between the center positions of each viewing zone and the width of each viewing zone are small compared to designed values. We analyzed the primary cases, introduced two modified design methods to enlarge the interval and the width of the viewing zones, and simulated their characteristics. As designed with six unit view-point and each viewing zone of each viewer is formed with a merged view-point, we found that adequate interval and width of viewing zones can be made, and we verified it in comparison with the tabletop display module that we fabricated.
We studied the effect of vibratory stimulations of different leg muscles, tibialis anterior(TA) and triceps surae(TS), and plantar zones in ten healthy subjects during 1) quiet standing, 2) forward lean of body, 3) backward lean of body, 4) right lean of body, and 5) left lean of body. The experiments were performed on the force platform. The effect of vibration were measured by monitoring the area of COP(Center of pressure) sway. The subjects wore a vibratory stimulation system on foot and ankles and were given the instruction not to resist against the applied perturbations. The results show that all vibratory stimulations to lower limb muscles and plantar zones reduced the COP sway area. This reduction of the COP sway area occurred also in partial vibratory stimulations during quiet standing. In forward lean of body, vibratory stimulations to TA reduced the COP sway area. During backward lean of body, vibratory stimulations to TS reduced the COP sway area. When the subject was tilted right, vibratory stimulations to left plantar zone reduced the COP sway area. During left lean of body, vibratory stimulations to right plantar zone reduced the COP sway area. Thus, the influence of vibratory stimulations to leg muscle and plantar zones differed significantly depending on the lean of body. We suggest that the vibration stimuli from leg muscles and plantar zones could be selectively used to help maintaining postural balance stable.

Many popularly used recent high-sped and high-capacity disks use the Zone-Structured in which a disk consists of multiple zones. A zone-structured disk has multiple zones, and the bandwidth and the number of sectors in each zone are different from each other. When the previous studies that modeled disks based on the assumption that the number of sectors in all tracks are same are applied to the zone-structured disk and the video data stored in a round-robin manner are read out with the SCAN technique, the transfer rate of the disk is fixed with that of the innermost zone. And excessive disk space is wasted either. To resolve the problem, this paper proposes a method for reconstructing the physical zones into logical zones by split and merge operations and develops a method for determining optimum transfer block size.
The study examined the influence of climate and soil dynamics on vegetation health across the ecological zones in Rivers State, Nigeria. MODIS imagery was used to assess the vegetation health through NDVI and point grid pattern of meteorological data for total precipitation (TP), air temperature (AT), soil moisture (SM) and soil temperature (ST) of 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2015 were used for the study. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. Findings showed that NDVI ranged between 0.420 and 0.612 in the freshwater swamp (FWS) while between 0.465 and 0.611 in the rainforest and the NDVI in the mangrove was generally low. The highest mean AT was experienced in the mangrove ecological zone and the least was experienced in the rainforest. The mean SM was generally highest in the rainforest with highest value in 2000 (774.44 m3/m3). The ST was highest in the mangrove and the least was experienced in the rainforest while the TP was highest in the mangrove. NDVI correlated significantly with SM (r=0.720; p<0.05) and ST (r= -0.493; p<0.05). NDVI, SM, TP and ST significantly varied among the ecological zones. Regression analysis showed that vegetation health was significantly related to the combination of soil temperature and soil moisture (R2=0.641; p=0.000). Thus, monitoring the factors that affect vegetation health in a changing climate and soil environments is highly required.

To evaluate the water quality changes in agricultural reservoir covered with floating photovoltaic solar-tracking systems, the water quality variations with time and depth were monitored on both six sites for light blocking zones and four sites for light penetration zones after the installation of floating photovoltaic solar-tracking systems in Geumgwang reservoir at Anseong-si, Kyeonggi province. For one year with 16 monitoring events, water quality parameters [i.e., water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), chlorophyll-a (Chl-a), and blue-green algae (BGA)] were monitored at depths of 0.3 m, 1 m, 3 m, and 5 m, while chemical oxygen demand (COD), total nitrogen (TN), and total phosphorus (TP) were monitored at depths of 0.3 m. Statistically, the difference in all water quality parameters was not significantly different (p > 0.05) at the level of significance of 0.05. Based on these results, the water quality data from light blocking zones (site 1~6) and light penetration zones (site 7~10) were clustered, and were compared with time and depth. As a result, the difference in water temperature, pH, DO, COD, TN, TP, Chl-a, and BGA between light blocking zones and light penetration zones was not significant (p > 0.05) with different time and depth. For Chl-a and BGA, some data from light blocking zones greater than light penetration zones were temporary observed due to the severe drought, low water storage rate, and over growth of periphyton. However, this temporal phenomenon did not impact the water quality. Considering the small water surface area (${\leq}0.5%$) covered by floating photovoltaic solar-tracking systems, the mixing effect of whole Geumgwang reservoir caused by Ekman current and continuous discharge were more dominant than the effect of reduced solar irradiance. Further study is warranted to monitor the changes in water quality and aquatic ecosystems with greater water surface area covered by floating photovoltaic solar-tracking systems for a long time.

This study is to evaluate seismic performance of ordinary moment concrete frames. Base shear and roof displacement relations are obtained from the experiment of 3 story ordinary moment resisting concrete frame. The frame was designed only for gravity loads. The performance of the building is evaluated using capacity spectrum method. Five different seismic zones and three different soil types are considered. For each condition of seismic zone and soil type, ten earthquake ground motions are used to establish the demand spectrum.
Some or the parameters affecting the thermal analysis of different types of ground tobacco have been discussed. The sample, Korean flue- cured and burley and Greek orient tobacco leaves were run in air at heating rate of $10^{\circ}$ and 20^{\circ}C$ per minute. The thermograms obtained were divided into four temperature zones. The effect of different heating rates on thermal degradation has been discussed At the lower heating rate the maxima of DTA curves in zone 3 and 4 were 25-$40^{\circ}C$ lower than that of the higher heating rate.

The variable-node solid element with rotational degrees of freedom has been developed far efficient connection of transition zones and far connection of different types of elements with rotational degrees of freedom. In applying this new element to engineering problems, it is necessary to fine the relations between tractions and equivalent nodal farces. In this case, the equivalent forces in solid element with rotational degrees of freedom and ratational forces are a bit different from that af conventional solid elements. Some typical examples are presented.
Greenbelt Zones or park areas such as cave areas have strong zoning restrictions that prevent developments. However, whenever it is needed to free the restrictions for development, planning departments are faced with the problems of which part in the area should select. Especially when households are scattered in small groups, there must be a clear guidelines in order to determine the areas having high potential for development while minimizing resistance from the residents. The methodologies should include means to incorporate many different aspects of decision elements. This study presents strategies to choose groups of residents by employing the concentration index of them and means to incorporate preferences among different decision factors using the AHP method.
Seasonal monitoring was implemented to understand the influence of macrophyte bed structure on the composition and trophic interaction of aquatic organisms (algae, zooplankton, macro-invertebrate, and fish) in a shallow wetland (Upo Wetland, South Korea). Distinct division of the plant assemblage (reed zone and mixed plant zone) was observed. The reed zone was composed solely of Phragmites communis, whereas the mixed plant zone comprised a diverse macrophyte assemblage (Salvinia natans, Spirodela polyrhiza, Trapa japonica, Ceratophyllum demersum, and Hydrilla verticillata). Most of the aquatic organisms were more abundant in the mixed plant zone than in the reed zone, and this was positively associated with the seasonal development of macrophyte cover. Stable isotope analysis showed seasonal interactions among aquatic organisms. The majority of aquatic animal (zooplankton, Odonata, and Ephemeroptera) were dependent on epiphytic particulate organic matter (EPOM), and the dependence on EPOM gradually increased toward autumn. Interestingly, Lepomis macrochirus consumed Ephemeroptera and zooplankton in both macrophyte zones, but Micropterus salmoides depended on different food items in the reed zone and the mixed plant zone. Although, M. salmoides in the reed zone showed food utilization similar to L. macrochirus, it consumed Odonata or small L. macrochirus in the mixed plant zone. Based on these results, it appears that differences in the structure of the two macrophyte zones support different assemblages of aquatic organisms, strongly influencing the trophic interactions between the aquatic organisms.
