Computational analysis of incompressible flows by numerically solving Navier-Stokes equations using multi-block finite volume method is conducted on a parallel computing system. Numerical algorithms adopted in this study $include^{(1)}$ QUICK upwinding scheme for convective $terms,^{(2)}$ central differencing for other terms $and^{(3)}$ the second-order Euler differencing for time-marching procedure. Structured grids are used on the body-fitted coordinate with multi-block concept which uses overlaid grids on the block-interfacing boundaries. Computational code is parallelized on the MPI environment. Numerical accuracy of the computational method is verified by solving a benchmark test case of the flow inside two-dimensional rectangular cavity. Computation in the axial compressor cascade is conducted by using 4 PE's md, as results, no numerical instabilities are observed and it is expected that the present computational method can be applied to the turbomachinery flow problems without major difficulties.

To expand the application area of global navigation satellite systems, precision landing is one of the most critical area to be solved. For the development and validation of the precision landing system, many aspects need to be analyzed including the system architecture, signal characteristics, atmospheric delay, communication delay, accuracy, integrity, and availability. Among them, the signal characteristics analysis requires the processing of measurements collected by real-flight experiments. This paper presents the processing results of the real measurements collected by a flight and landing experiment. To process and analyze the data, double differencing position-domain hatch filter is utilized. Accuracy of the proposed filter is evaluated utilizing reference trajectory generated by commercial software. Finally, by comparing with conventional range domain characteristics of position domain filter is analyzed.

In this paper a new method is proposed for realizing active floating inductors from voltage differencing transconductance amplifier(VDTA) which is being studied nowadays. This proposed method employs only one VDTA and one transconductance for designing an active inductor from a passive floating inductor and implementing it to integrated circuits. The number of CMOS transistors can be considerably reduced from 6~18 as 1~3 gm circuits can be eliminated and even without R the design can be made, which can help in reducing the size of the circuit and power consumption. The proposed VDTA floating inductor was successfully used in constructing 1 MHz second order biquad active bandpass filter and bandwidth could be adjusted from 77kHz~1.59MHz by the changes made in gm from 6uS~20uS.
GPS Receiver gives pseudorange Doppler and integrated carrier phase for measurements to compute navigation information. Thought the integrated carrier phase can be transfer to the equal domain as pseudorange by multiplying the wave length of the received signal, in order to get position information from the carrier phase measurements the integer ambiguity should be resolved. And differencing technique is generally used to eliminate the common error terms of the integrated carrier phase measurements between robber and server. In short baseline double-differencing operation has effect on elimination the common biases for both stations and thus ambiguity resolution are to be reliable. But the baseline increases, the integer ambiguity resolution is hardly, due to the correlated common error is increase ...
Numerical computations are carried out to analyze the characteristics of flow fields around Air Supported Ships. The computations are performed in a rectangular grid system based on MAC(Marker And Cell) method. The governing equations are represented in finite difference forms by forward differencing in time and centered differencing in space except for its convection terms. For the certification of this numerical analysis method, the computations of flow fields around a Catamaran, an ACV(Air Cushion Vehicle) modeled with pressure distribution on free surface and two SES(Surface Effect Ship)'s are carried out, The results of the present computations are compared with the previously presented computational and experimental results in the same condition.
Three dimensional turbulent flow fields around ships are simulated by a numerical method. Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes equations are used where Reynolds stresses are approximated by Baldwin-Lomax and Sub-Grid Scale(SGS) turbulence models. Body-fitted coordinate system is introduced to conform three dimensional ship geometries. The governing equations are discretized by a finite volume method. Temporal derivatives are approximated by the forward differencing and the convection terms are approximated by the QUICK or Kawamura scheme. The 2nd-order centered differencing is used for other spatial derivatives. Pressure and velocity fields are simultaneously iterated by the Highly Simplified Marker-And-Cell method. To verify the numerical method and turbulence models, flow fields around ships are simulated and compared to the experiments.

The suitability of high-order accurate, centered and upwind-biased compact difference schemes is evaluated for large eddy simulation of turbulent flow. Two turbulent flows are considered: turbulent channel flow at Re = 23000 and flow over a circular cylinder at Re = 3900. The effects of numerical dissipation on the finite differencing and aliasing errors and the subgrid-scale stress are investigated. It is shown through the simulations that compact upwind schemes are not suitable for LES, whereas the fourth order-compact centered scheme is a good candidate for LES provided that proper dealiasing of nonlinear terms is performed. The classical issue on the aliasing error and the treatment of nonlinear terms is revisited with compact difference schemes.
