This study intends to provide preliminary data for improving dining experience in the restaurants of Bamboo food village and help draw up guidelines for the improvement of these dining venues by surveying customer perception and satisfaction in 15-restaurants of the food village. The restaurants were surveyed mainly for satisfaction of the menu, especially, on the signature dishes of Damyang, "ddeokgalbi" (grilled short rib balls) and "daetongbab"-the grilled short rib balls and bamboo rice. The two dishes were more liked by people in the the 20- to 29-year age group with a score of 3.92 and 4.11, respectively. Although the 30-49 age group showed the highest satisfaction score on the fixed price menu, there was no statistically significant difference. The age group of 20-29 also showed the highest satisfaction on plating and table setting with a score of 4.09 and 4.04, respectively, and there was significant difference among age groups in this regard (p<0.05). All the age groups surveyed answered "time-honored taste" should be captured when working on menus, which suggests it should be the first choice for the restaurants in the food village when they develop their menus. When it comes to the restaurant environment, satisfaction on sanitary conditions was significantly different among the groups with a score of 4.21 given by 30-49 age group and 3.88 by the 50 and over group (p<0.05). In the category of service satisfaction, the two aforementioned age groups again showed significant difference in catering to customer needs with a score of 3.99 and 3.63, respectively (p<0.05), whereas welcoming customers and serving food was scored without statistical difference by age. Being asked what needs to be done to strengthen competitive advantage of the restaurants, all the age groups answered "taste" would matter the most while the 20 to 29 and 30 to 49 age groups picked "hygiene" and the 50 and over selected "table setting and ambience" next, which was statistically different with a p value of <0.05. Regarding the competitive advantage of the Korean restaurants in Damyang Bamboo food village, the first two younger groups (20 to 29 and 30 to 49) chose "table setting and ambience" and the eldest (50 and over) age group answered "location wise advantage," indicating significant difference by age. More than 80 percent of the people surveyed were willing to revisit the venues, which suggests improving restaurant environment in Bamboo food village and offering customers a better experience are very likely to build a image of culinary tourism for Damyang.
This study was to evaluate the body composition and bone mineral density according to aging in adult and investigated the relationship between various parameters such as body mass index(BMI), bone mineral density(BMD), bone mineral content(BMC), lean body mass(LBM), fat mass(FM) and the value obtained from dual energy X-ray absorptiometry(DEXA). The subjects were composed of healthy adult male and female who were $20^{\sim}73$ years old and they were divided three group according to age (A group : 20-39 yrs., B group : 40-59 yrs., C group : more than 60 yrs.). The conclusion derived from statistical analysis was as follows : 1. Bone mineral content and density were significantly affected by lean body mass(relatively, R=0.85 - 0.63). 2. There was significant difference among age groups in total bone mineral density. 3. There was significant difference among age groups in bone mineral content of male and female. 4. Lean body mass is diminished according to age, but there was not significant difference among age groups. 5. Fat mass of A group in male had the highest mass and followed by C group and B group. In female groups, fat mass of A group had the highest mass and followed by B group and C group. Abdominal fat mass is increased according to age. This result suggest that aging was closely relation with loss of muscle mass, bone mineral density and bone mineral content.
Purpose: This study aimed to examine the elderly physical fitness test for elderly people living in urban areas and to evaluate the physical fitness level according to gender and age groups. Methods: The subjects were 180 elderly people aged 65 and over living in urban areas. The elderly people were classified into early old age, middle old age, and advanced old age groups. Five items of the physical fitness test for the elderly (arm curl, chair stand, 2 min step test, back scratch, and chair sit and reach). Results: In analyzing the average of each item by gender and age, a significant difference was found in the results of each item as age increased in all sports, but no difference was observed according to gender except dumbbell lifting. Conclusion: Although the physical fitness level of all ages decreased from early age to late age, the difference in physical fitness according to gender was not significant except the arm curl test. The results of this study can be used as basic data for a new "age-specific exercise program" for the elderly.
As result of analysis of the importance in this study majority the answerers indicated as recognize it important and indicated that shows difference in average among the groups. In the age there was difference among group by marketing quality and symbolic quality of menu was indicated and in the symbolic quality factor of menu as the younger age indicate much more important. There was no factor indicates do florence in average among groups subject to educational degree however, in the marketing quality and symbolic quality of the menu the higher academic degree regards it higher as indicated. A 3D body scan measurement (SM) is used as an alternative to physical measurements (PM) as the information for designing industrial products. This study compared the mean difference (MD) between SM and PM by gender and analyzed the causes of the difference. The data used in this study were the scan measurements and physical measurements of adults aged twenty to seventy years old of the fifth Size Korea survey. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The comparison of MD between men and women for all subjects: The measurement of the significant differences between men and women were height, neck base girth, chest girth, under-bust girth, waist girth, armscye girth, back length, and foot length. The causes of difference are the difference of body shape. 2. The comparison of MD between men and women by BMI groups: Many measurements had significant differences between men and women at normal weight and overweight but underweight. Some measurements had significant differences only at a specific BMI group because the body shape difference between men and women is revealed clearly in the group. The comparison of MD between men and women by age groups: The measurements that show significant difference at more than four age groups were neck girth, chest girth, under-bust girth, waist girth, armscye girth, and foot length. The height and abdomen girth had a significant difference in the age range of 20's and 30's. There were measurements that increase MD with an increase in age; under-bust girth and lateral shoulder length for women and lateral shoulder length for men. This comparison of MD between men and women provide the correct guidelines for the use of SM.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the perception of dental implant insurance supply and demand for the elderly living in Hongseong-gun and Chungcheongnam-do, as well as the selection criteria regarding dental clinics for dental implant treatment to collect basic data for improving the oral health of the elderly population. Methods: Participants living in Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do who were at least 55 years old from November 2020 to March 2021 were included in this study. The chi-square test was performed to examine the age-specific perception of insurance-covered dental implants (p<0.05). Results: The age group that was the most interested in implants was the 70s age group, and the difference between this age group and the other age groups was statistically significant. Those in their 70's, 80's, and 90's or older paid about 600,000 won including dental implants covered by insurance, and there was a significant difference (p<0.05). Those in their 60s, 70s, and 80s estimated the highest value of implants covered by insurance as two and showed a significant difference (p<0.05). The awareness of the dental implant insurance by age showed that all age groups, except for the ≥90 years age group, considered the insurance to be mediocre mostly due to the large co-payment (p<0.05). Conclusion: There were differences by age in the awareness of dental implant insurance, co-payments, number of applications, and insurance coverage. The perceptions on dental implant insurance by age showed that all age groups except for those over 90 years and older, they considered the insurance was just mediocre the most.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the difference of body mass index (BMI) to smart phone proficiency in men and women over the age of 60. Methods: Patients were divided into three groups with high (n=33), average (n=34), and low (n=33) smart phone proficiency. Fitness characteristics related to smart phone usage were evaluated by measuring cardiorespiratory endurance, grip strength, eye-hand coordination. As well, smart phone proficiency was evaluated by a self-reported questionnaire and a smart phone usability task that was composed of two categories: usage of the smartphone device itself and usage of phone applications. The differences in BMI of the subjects was analyzed by analysis of covariance adjusting for independent variables including age, smartphone usage period, eye-hand coordination, education and income. Results: There was a significant difference in BMI among the three groups after adjustment of age, eye-hand coordination, smartphone usage period, education and income. The results showed that the self-reported questionnaire showed a significant difference in BMI between high proficiency and low proficiency groups (high $24.88{\pm}2.46$, low $23.37{\pm}2.56$; p=0.037). Smart phone usability test results also showed a significant difference in BMI among the three groups (high $25.18{\pm}2.58$, low $23.15{\pm}2.6$; p=0.000 and high $25.18{\pm}2.58$, middle $23.57.7{\pm}1.69$; p=0.010). Conclusion: Our results suggest that high smart phone proficiency shows increased BMI in the elderly. This study suggests that people over the age of 60 who have high smartphone proficiency should be cautious of an increased BMI score.
This study classifies vanity into groups, analyzes age differences and categorizes price attitudes toward apparel products. Questionnaires were administered to 461 college students living in Daegu City and Kyungbok province. Data were collected using frequency, factor analysis, cluster analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, ANOVA, Duncan-test, and t-test. The findings were as follows. College student vanity was classified into three groups of appearance/ achievement pride, low vanity, and appearance/achievement concern. Vanity showed a significant correlation with sub-variables of age difference and price attitude towards apparel products. Appearance pride and achievement concern (sub-variables of vanity) had a significant effect on the conspicuous of price attitude toward apparel products. Appearance pride and Appearance concern (sub-variables of vanity) had a significant effect on information of price attitude toward apparel products. Gender of college students showed a distinction insub-variables of vanity factors such as appearance concern and price attitude toward apparel products such as information, quality, and using coupons. Male students were distinct in look and health as well as age differences by group; female students were distinct in age perception differences (a sub-variable of age difference). Both male and female students showed differences in conspicuousness (a sub-variable of price attitude) toward apparel products by group.
This study was to compare some acoustic characteristics of vowels produced by children with cochlear implant (CI) and the children with normal hearing. 20 subjects under ten years old were further classified into two groups (one group of CI children under four years old and the other group of CI children over four years old). For the normal hearing group, 20 subjects are participated in the experiment. Some acoustic parameters including fundamental frequency (F0) and formant frequencies (F1, F2) were measured in the two groups according to the age of cochlear implant operation. For the CI group, three comer vowels (/a/, /i/, /u/) were recorded five times in isolation and analyzed with Multi-Speech (Kay Elemetrics, model 3700), and two independent t-tests on their formant data were conducted using SPSS 11.5. The result showed that the implanted group over four years had a significant difference in F0 and F1 comparing with the implanted group under four years of age as well as the normal hearing group. Those values of the children with the implanted group under four years old were closer to those of the children with the normal hearing. As to the F2, there was no significant difference among implanted groups. However, it was shown that the vowel space for the implanted groups regardless the operation age indicated much smaller than that for the normal hearing children. This acoustic results suggest that CI surgery would be much more effective if it is done under the age of four years old.
