이동형 배출가스 측정시스템(MEL)을 이용한 디젤 및 가솔린 차량에서 배출되는 입자상 물질 평가 (On-Road Investigation of PM Emissions of Passenger Vehicles Fuelled with Diesel and Gasoline Using Mobile Emission Laboratory)

  • 차량에 의한 대기오염을 실제 주행 조건에서 시간과 공간에 구애받지 않고 실시간으로 측정하기 위하여 이동형 배출가스 측정장치(MEL)가 제작되었다. 미니밴 차량에 CO, NOx, $CO_2$와 같은 배출가스 측정 장비와 입자의 수농도 및 입경별 개수농도 분포 측정을 위한 FMPS, CPC가 탑재되었다. 차량 전단에 장착되는 흡입 샘플링 포트를 사용하여 여러 종류의 차량 추적 실험을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 MEL의 상세 사양 및 이를 이용하여 디젤 및 가솔린 연료를 사용하는 승용차량들을 추적 실험한 결과를 나타내었다. 디젤 차량에서 배출되는 입자의 수농도는 가솔린 차량에서 배출되는 입자의 수농도보다 높았으며 다량의 극미세입자를 포함하고 있었다. 하지만, 직접분사식 가솔린 차량은 DPF가 장착된 디젤 차량에 비하여 50 nm 이상의 입경 영역에서 입자의 농도가 높은 경향을 보였다.

  • 매년 OECD가 발표하는 대기환경 오염분야에서 우리나라가 최하위를 차지했다. 이에 따른 대책으로 수송분야에 관심이 집중되었고, 오염도 측정 결과 대형경유 및 노후차량에서 미세먼지 배출가스가 높게 발생하는 원인으로 정부는 발표하였다. 이를 해결하기 위해 정부가 관련부처 합동으로 "미세먼지 관리 특별대책과 종합대책"을 추진하였다. 환경오염 개선방안으로 시내버스와 전세버스를 대상으로 친환경자동차 전환을 위한 유가 보조금제도를 시행했다. 본 연구에서는 경유버스 대비 천연가스(CNG) 연료전환 시 경제성 평가와 오염물질 배출에 따른 환경비용을 비교분석하였다. 유형별 연료전환 시나리오를 통한 천연가스 차량으로 연료전환을 했을 때 사회적 편익과 환경적 비용을 고려한 정부지원금 정책의 타당성 및 지원금 확대 근거를 제시하였다.

  • The characteristics of combustion and emission of biodiesel fuel were investigated in a single cylinder DI diesel engine equipped with a common rail injection system. For investigating the effect of bio diesels, the experiments were conducted at various mixing ratio and engine operation conditions. Experimental results show that combustion pressure increased with the increase of mixing ratio and injection pressure. The HC and CO emissions are decreased and NOx emission is increased as the mixing ratio of biodiesels increases at 100MPa injection pressure. However the results of the emissions are shown the contrary to the results at 50MPa of injection pressure due to larger droplets of biodiesel sprays.

  • As a new concept in engines and a power source for future automotive applications, the HCCI(Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) engine has been introduced. Essentially a combination of spark ignition and compression ignition engines, the HCCI engine exhibits low NO$_x$ and PM emissions as well as high efficiency under part load. In this research, a 4 cylinder diesel engine was converted into a HCCI engine, and propane was used as the fuel. The main parameters for this research are fuel flow rate and the temperature of the intake manifold, and the effects of such on a HCCI engine's performance and exhaust was investigated.

  • The main objective of this research is to develop a system which will provide a more efficient fuel saying measure for the current marine products industry situation caused by the increased cost of oil. For that function, the developed system has been verified using the medium of blending oil known as the MF 30 class. As a result, MF 30 was confirmed meeting the International Standard for NOx emissions and content of Sulfur. Oil composition and soot level analysis showed that it is acceptable to use MF 30 class in condition of proper engine running operation and pre-refinery treatment.

  • 대체연료로서 바이오 연료의 디젤엔진에의 적합성을 파악하기 위하여 경유, 가온 미강유, 초음파 적용 가온 미강유, 미강유 메틸 에스테르, 폐식용유, 초음파 적용 폐식용유, 폐식용유 메틸 에스테를 14kW 예연소실식 디젤 엔진의 연료로 사용하여 그 성능과 배기배출물을 측정하였다. 시험에 사용한 바이오 연료들에 의해 엔진 분사 펌프의 조정이나 다른 부품의 개조를 하지 않고도 단기간 전부하 상태로 1,600~2,800 rpm 의 범위에서 엔진은 정상적으로작동하였다. 바이오 연료를 사용하였을 경우 전반적으로 엔진성능과 배기 배출물 특성에 있어서 경유를 사용하였을 경우와 비견할만 하였으며 특히 매우 낮은 농도의 $SO_2$와 매연을 배출하였다.

  • Recently, environmental damage to urban area becomes serious problem due to the exhaust emissions by increasing the number of vehicle. Especially, exhaust emission from diesel vehicles are blown to be harmful to human health and environment. Photoacoustic Spectroscopy system is very useful technology for simultaneous and continuous measurement of the various components of the automotive exhaust gas. In this study, in order to reduce emission gases from automobile, we tried to develop the measurement system of Photoacoustic Spectroscopy. To improve performance of high sensitive Photoacoustic Spectroscopy system for automotive exhaust emissions, the shape of Photoacoustic Spectroscopy cell was optimized to use the flow analysis. And Exhaust emission data of the 1,500cc gasoline engine was fixed the working fluid. The characteristics of fluid flow for cell were analyzed by various conditions in detail.

  • This study analyzed the effect of Greenhouse of wood pellet fuel conversing from Diesel. Analyzed through a life cycle assessment of greenhouse gas emissions of carbon dioxide for the environmental assessment, In evaluation of the Ministry of the Environment, analyzed through the life cycle assessment of carbon dioxide emissions of the greenhouse gas and, In the case of economic evaluation, we analyzed the investment payback period to the total revenue generated by each of the calculated incentive based on the RHI and institutions reduction projects a reduction of costs associated with the reduction of fuel costs.

자동차에 의한 오염물질 배출계수 및 배출량 산출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Estimation of Emission Factors and Emission Rates for Motor Vehicles)

  • Exhaust emissions are calculated as a product of the emission factor and the vehicle kilometer traveled(VKT). The emission factor is a function of several parameters such as vehicle model year, vehicle mileage, traffic conditions, etc. The representative driving cycles classified as ten different types of an average vehicle speed were selected by analyzing passenger car driving patterns in Seoul. 51 vehicles were sampled and analyzed by types of vehicles, fuels used, model years and vehicle mileages also, exhaust emissions of them were measured by chassis dynamometer. Regression equations between average vehicle speeds and exhaust emissions are made for the estimation of emission factors at different vehicle speeds. Annual emission rates of air pollutants from motor vehicles in Korea were 1116$\times10^3 ton, 149\times10^3 ton, 413\times10^3 ton and 67\times10^3$ ton for CO, HC, NOx and particulats, respetively in 1990. It was found that 56% of CO and 49% of HC were originated from passenger cars and taxis, in addition, 87% of NOx and 100% of particulates were from buses and trucks using diesel fuels.

Hybrid artificial bee colony-grey wolf algorithm for multi-objective engine optimization of converted plug-in hybrid electric vehicle

  • The paper proposes a hybrid approach of artificial bee colony (ABC) and grey wolf optimizer (GWO) algorithm for multi-objective and multidimensional engine optimization of a converted plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The proposed strategy is used to optimize all emissions along with brake specific fuel consumption (FC) for converted parallel operated diesel plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). All emissions particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxide (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) are considered as optimization parameters with weighted factors. 70 hp engine data of NOx, PM, HC, CO and FC obtained from Oak Ridge National Laboratory is used for the study. The algorithm is initialized with feasible solutions followed by the employee bee phase of artificial bee colony algorithm to provide exploitation. Onlooker and scout bee phase is replaced by GWO algorithm to provide exploration. MATLAB program is used for simulation. Hybrid ABC-GWO algorithm developed is tested extensively for various values of speeds and torque. The optimization performance and its environmental impact are discussed in detail. The optimization results obtained are verified by real data engine maps. It is also compared with modified ABC and GWO algorithm for checking the effectiveness of proposed algorithm. Hybrid ABC-GWO offers combine benefits of ABC and GWO by reducing computational load and complexity with less computation time providing a balance of exploitation and exploration and passes repeatability towards use for real-time optimization.
