  • By using geometrical structure of Fresnel lens, it can be applied with receiver antenna and geodetic system. In this paper, radiation pattern from fresnel lens array of Soret type is calculate by the FDTD method. For simplicity, fresnel lens should be located linearly and considered to be dielectric rod with a relative permittivity.

Influence of the Combustion Flame on the Dielectric Strength of an Air Gap due to Fire Occurrence (화재발생에 따른 연소화염이 공기의 절연내력에 미치는 영항)

  • Occurring fire or burning bushes beneath overhead power lines have caused system disturbances in many countries. In this study, various tests in the simulated condition of power lines were conducted so as to investigate the reduction in insulation strength caused by combustion flame. Characteristics of the ac and dc flashover voltages in the vertical needle-plane, sphere-plane and rod-plane electrode system were investigated when the combustion flames were present near the high-voltage electrode. As the results of an experimental investigation, It was found that the average reduction characteristics of flashover voltages with the sphere-plane system, in comparison with the no-flames case, were about 1/3 times when the ac voltages were applied.

  • Sulphur-hexafluoride has extensively been used as an insulating gas of electric power equipment in substation for its high dielectric strength, non-toixity and non-flammable properties. But it is very expensive and is liquidizable under the condition of low temperature and high pressure. And it is very sensible to the locally high electric field strength. To resolve these problems, we studied 50% FOV and V-t characteristics of $SF_6-N_2$ mixtures under positive and negative lightning impulses using a 25mm rod-plane gap. 50% FOV of $SF_6-N_2$ 50% mixture was about 85% of pure $SF_6$ and it was known that $SF_6-N_2$ mixtures can be used as an economic substitution insulating gas for $SF_6$.

  • This paper presents a liquid cooling concept for heat rejection of high power electronic devices existing in notebook computers etc. The design, fabrication, and performance of the planar ECF pump and farced-liquid cooling system are summarized. The electro-conjugate fluid (ECF) is a kind of dielectric and functional fluids, which generates jet flows (ECF-jets) by applying static electric field through a pair of rod-like electrodes. The ECF-jet directly acts on the working fluid, so the proposed planar ECF pump needs no moving part, produces no vibration and noise. The planar ECF pump, consists of a pump housing and electrode substrate, achieves maximum flow rate and output pressure of $5.5\;cm^3/s$ and 7.2 kPa, respectively, at an applied voltage of 2.0 kV. The farced-liquid cooling system, constructed with the planar ECF pump, liquid-cooled heat sink and thermal test chip, removes input power up to 80 W keeping the chip surface temperature below $70\;^{\circ}C$. The experimental results demonstrate that the feasibility of forced-liquid cooling system using ECF is confirmed as an advanced cooling solution on the next-generation high power electronic devices.

The Ferroelectric Frequency characteristics of $Bi_{4-x}La_{x}Ti_{3}O_{12}$ ceramics with the variation of Lanthanum additives (La 첨가량에 따른 $Bi_{4-x}La_{x}Ti_{3}O_{12}$ 강유전체의 주파수특성)

  • In recent year, Ferroelectric $BLT(Bi_{4-x}La_{x}Ti_{3}O_{12})$ is a promising candidate materials. This study was practiced to make good conditions of BL T targets. In this study, calcination and sintering temperature were kept at $750^{\circ}C$, $1100^{\circ}C$ for 2 hour respectively. the density obtained 7.612, 7.98, $7.877g/cm^{3}$ as $La_{2}O_{3}$ contents were 0.0mol%, 0.25mol%, 0.5mol%. Especially, the lanthanum content of 0.5 mol% measured C-axis (117) preferred orientation more than the others targets in the XRD. In $\varepsilon_{r}-f$ relationship using by HP 4194 A impedance analyzer, the 0.5 mol% observed above 200 relative dielectric constant. but the dissipation factor was higher than others targets at 100Hz~13MHz range. SEM photograph with the content of $La_{2}O_{3}$ was observed like rod and plate types.

  • Monolayers of lipids on a water surface have attracted much interest as models of biological membranes, but also as precursors of multilayer systems promising many technical applications. Until now, many methodologies have been developed in order to gain a better understanding of the relationship between the structure and function of the monolayers. Maxwell displacement current (MDC) measurement has been employed to study the dielectric property of Langmuirfilms. MDC flowing across monolayers is analyzed using a rod-like molecular model. A linear relationship between the monolayer compression speed a and the molecular area Am. Compression speed a was about 30, 40, and 50 mm/min. Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) layers of Arachidic acid deposited by LB method were deposited onto slide glass as Y-type film. The structure of manufactured device is Aul Arachidic acid! AI, the number of accumulated layers are $9{\sim}21$. Also, we then examined of the Metal-Insulator-Metal(MIM) device by means of I-V. The I-V characteristics of the device are measured from -3 to+3 V. The insulation property of a thin film is better as the distance between electrodes is larger.

  • In recent year, Ferroelectric BLT($Bi_{4-x}$La$_{x}$Ti$_3$O$_{12}$) is a promising candidate materials. This study was Practiced to make good conditions of BLT targets.
