K-means와 Sobel-mask 윤곽선 검출 기법을 이용한 미세먼지 측정 방법 (A Fine Dust Measurement Technique using K-means and Sobel-mask Edge Detection Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 CCTV를 활용하여 K-means, Sobel-mask 기반의 윤곽선 검출 기법을 이용한 영상 속 미세먼지 측정 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 CCTV 카메라를 이용하여 이미지를 수집하고 관심영역을 통해 이미지 범위를 지정한다. K-means 알고리즘을 적용하여 군집화가 완료되면 Sobel-mask를 통해 윤곽선을 검출하고 윤곽선 강도를 측정하며, 측정된 데이터를 바탕으로 미세먼지의 농도를 파악한다. 제안하는 방법은 대각선 측정에 장점을 가지는 Sobel-mask의 특성을 활용하여 산맥의 윤곽선을 추출하고 실험 결과로 미세먼지 농도에 따른 검출의 차이를 보여준다.

Shear Deformation of Steel Fiber-Reinforced Prestressed Concrete Beams

  • Steel fiber-reinforced prestressed concrete (SFRPSC) members typically have high shear strength and deformation capability, compared to conventional prestressed concrete (PSC) members, due to the resistance provided by steel fibers at the crack surface after the onset of diagonal cracking. In this study, shear tests were conducted on the SFRPSC members with the test variables of concrete compressive strength, fiber volume fraction, and prestressing force level. Their localized behavior around the critical shear cracks was measured by a non-contact image-based displacement measurement system, and thus their shear deformation was thoroughly investigated. The tested SFRPSC members showed higher shear strengths as the concrete compressive strength or the level of prestress increased, and their stiffnesses did not change significantly, even after diagonal cracking due to the resistance of steel fibers. As the level of prestress increased, the shear deformation was contributed by the crack opening displacement more than the slip displacement. In addition, the local displacements around the shear crack progressed toward directions that differ from those expected by the principal strain angles that can be typically obtained from the average strains of the concrete element. Thus, this localized deformation characteristics around the shear cracks should be considered when measuring the local deformation of concrete elements near discrete cracks or when calculating the local stresses.

타원편광 라이다 개발 및 이를 이용한 에어로졸과 구름의 특성 측정 (Measurement of Aerosols and Ice Clouds Using Ellipsometry Lidar)

  • 얼음 구름과 에어로의 후방산란 특성을 측정할 수 있는 타원 편광라이다를 구성하고 이를 이용하여 에어로졸과 얼음 구름의 특성을 측정하였다. 규격화된 전체 후방산란 뮬러 행렬을 구하기 위하여 3 개의 광학계(${\lambda}/4$ 파장판, ${\lambda}/2$ 파장판, 그리고 빈 공간)로 구성된 조사 광학계와 같은 구조로 된 수신광학계를 통하여 총 9 개의 라이다 시스템을 구축하였다. 구축된 광학계의 체계적 오차를 구하기 위하여 에어로졸의 농도가 낮은 높은 고도의 9 개의 라이다 신호를 이용하였다. 9 개의 라이다 신호를 이용하여 5 개의 광학계 설치 오차(offset angle)와 무질서하게 배열된 에어로졸에 대한 뮬러 메트릭스 요소(2 개)를 찾아내었다. 광학장치를 검정한 후 얼음구름과 에어로졸에서 NBSPM (Normalized Backscattering Phase Matrix)를 구하였으며, 그 결과 에어로졸의 경우 입자의 방향성과 관계되는 NBSPM 의 비대각 행렬이 얼음 구름의 그것보다 작음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 권운의 경우에도 NBSPM 의 비대각 행렬이 변하는 기상 조건에 따라 달라지는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

광산란 거친표면의 고정밀 삼차원 형상 측정을 위한 점회절 간섭계 (Point-diffraction interferometer for 3-D profile measurement of light scattering rough surfaces)

  • 최근 전자산업계에 새롭게 널리 생산되는 마이크로 전자부품들은 왜곡이 최소화된 정밀한 외관 형상을 갖도록 제조되고 관리되지만, 측정 대상의 표면이 가시광 영역에서 광산란되는 특징을 가짐으로 인해, 기존의 피죠나 마이켈슨 형태의 비교간섭법으로는 고정밀의 삼차원 형상측정이 용이하지 아니하였다. 본 논문에서는 광섬유를 이용한 새로운 개념의 점회절 간섭계를 제안하고, 이를 광산란 거친표면의 대표적인 제품인 칩패키지와 실리콘 웨이퍼의 삼차원 형상 측정에 적용하였다. 측정결과 66 mm 측정영역에서 측정 형상오차 PV(peak-to-valley value) 5.6 $\mu\textrm{m}$, 분산값($\sigma$) 1.5 $\mu\textrm{m}$를 획득함으로써 기존의 비교 간섭 측정법에 비해 더욱 향상된 측정 정밀도를 획득하였다.

  • Multi-resolution Signal Decomposition (MSD) Technique of Wavelet Transform has interesting properties of capturing the embedded horizontal, vertical and diagonal variations within an image in a separable form. This feature was exploited to identify individual partial discharge sources present in multi-source PD pattern, usually encountered during practical PD measurement. Employing the Daubechies wavelet, feature were extracted from the third level decomposed and reconstructed horizontal and vertical component images. These features were found to contain the necessary discriminating information corresponding to the individual PD sources and multi-PD soruces.

휠체어에 앉은 자세에서 두경부 자세가 설골 움직임에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of the Craniocervical Posture on Hyoid Bone Movement with Sitting Posture in Wheelchair)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of the craniocervical posture on swallowing and hyoid bone movement with sitting posture in wheelchair, and to provide basic data for developing a treatment program for dysphagia. A total of sixty healthy adults without a history of dysphagia who were guardians or care assistants of inpatients at Hospital K underwent video fluoroscopy performed by physiatrists from April to July 2009. The results of the fluoroscopy were analyzed based on the measurement of hyoid bone movements. The hyoid bone movement(horizontal, vertical, and diagonal) was significantly high in the neutral craniocervical, chin-tuck, and sixty degrees extension postures, in descending order(p<.05). It was found that the neutral craniocervical posture is the most effective posture for hyoid bone movement with sitting posture in wheelchair.

Measurement of 3-D range-image of object diagnolly moving against semiconductor laser light beam

  • Recently, we proposed a 3-D range-image measuring system for a slowly moving object by mechanically scanning a laser light beam emitted from a self mixing laser diode. In this paper, we introduced that every object moves along a straight line course, which is set diagonally against the semiconductor laser beam so that we can recognize each shape and size parameters of objects separately from the acquired 3-D range-image. We measured a square mesa on a square plane as an object. The measured velocity was 4.44mm/s and 4.63mm/s with an error of 0.56mm/s to 0.37mm/s. And thickness error of the mesa was 0.5mm to 0.6mm, which was obtained from the 3-D range-image of the standstill or moving object with thickness of 17.Omm.

Grounding Characteristic Analysis of Plate Electrodes

  • In this study, an experiment on the efficient construction method of plate electrodes, the influence of electric potential interference in plate electrodes, and building foundations were explored. The experimental result of the electric potential measurement was taken on the basis of the direction of movement and the condition in which the plate electrodes are laid underground in building foundations. It shows that the construction method of laying the plate electrodes vertically exhibits a more efficient reduction of electric potential in a diagonal direction and on an X axis than laying plates horizontally. For plate electrode construction in an area that has uniform conditions, the parallel joint construction method is more effective than a single construction to reduce earth electrical potential and ground resistance. In addition, a straight arrangement performs well in ground efficiency, compared to the parallel arrangement.

  • This paper describes the procedure of increasing the efficiency of experimental modal analysis and updating the quality of FE model using the scaled commercial vehicle frame. In this study, it was found that the experimental modal analysis could be more efficient when the measurements were made on the areas with high kinetic energies. Such areas could be located with the aid of FE modal analysis. Also, the number of measurement points could be decided by considering the dynamic characteristics of full FE model. The correlation of FE model and experimental modal analysis was assessed by the differences between the natural frequencies and MAC matrix, which is based on normal modes. These differences of modal parameters were reduced through the sensitivity and optimization analysis of which objective function consisted of the errors of natural frequencies and the diagonal terms of MAC matrix.

Design and fabrication of a novel multilayer bandpass filter with high-order harmonics suppression using parallel coupled microstrip filter

  • This study presents a novel multilayer structure of parallel coupled-line bandpass filtercentered at 2.42 GHz with a fractional bandwidth value of approximately 19.4%. The designed filter can suppress harmonics with an appropriate frequency response by incorporating different techniques based on the multilayer technique. A combination of different techniques such as radial microstrip stubs and defected ground structure (DGS) and defected microstrip structure techniques are employed to suppress harmonics up to 5f0. These techniques are used in two layers to suppress up to 5f0. In addition, in this study, the effects of different parameters, such as the width of slot-line DGS, the angle of diagonal line slots in the upper layer, and the air gap between the two layers on the filter performance, are investigated. To verify the correct circuit operation, the designed filter is implemented and tested. The measurement results of the proposed filter are compared with the simulation results.
