  • We have carried out the construction of the 154kV intelligent substation with KEPRI. The Intelligent substation is built in Gochang testing facility of KEPCO and consists of electronic instruments for GIS(gas insulated switchgear), digital control panel, remote monitoring and diagnosis system, and digital relay system. Rogowski coil type CT(RCT) and capacitive voltage divider(CVD) are introduced compared with the instrument transformer of conventional type. Digital control Panel(DCP) replaces the LCP(local control panel) which is drived for mechanical operation. For the monitoring of the condition of GIS and TR, various sensors are used. In this Paper, we mention the synopsis and report the progress state of project.

  • Design and experiments of a nondestructive system to inspect deterioration of ACSR-OC (ACSR Outdoor Cross-linked Polyethylene Insulated Wire usually used in HV overhead distribution lines presented in this paper. ACSR-OC conductor built to pollutants air for a long period would be easily progress to corrode so that it may lead to the reduction of the effective cross section area of conductors. A fault diagnosis system consisting of a solenoid sensor, a constant current source with RF frequency signal processing unit and a motor driver/controller designed and implemented. This instrument can dot the sensor output variation due to deterioration corrosion, continuously. As a result, it was shown such corrosion detector can readily be utilized estimating the diameter change due to deterioration overhead distribution lines and in giving an warning or inform before severe aged conductor lead to fail.

  • The functional diagnosis instrument should be preceded first to both the accurate selection of exact acupoint and discrimination. so the measuring and stimulating method are improved to SPAC pattern to evaluate impedance existed in the body. As a result, the resistance factor between skin and probe, the dipolization of cell was reduced so that the judgement of acupoint is advanced. After extraction of optimization parameter of SPAC pattern which the high discrimination efficiency and the lowest affection on the human body is controlled by using microprocessor to enhance conviction. The discrimination efficiency was confirmed by meridian visualization system. Also mechanism of probe was improved to increase efficiency of image recognition processing. The image of discriminated acupoint with probe is obtained by using a camera, the location on the tip of probe is recognized and processed. And then these are converted to virtual color by proportional to measuring current level of scan point on skin.

  • In this paper, we developed a feature point detection algorithm that detects upstroke point(S), peak point(P), incisura(C) point from radial pulse waveform which obtained by using the developed radial pulse transducer. As the results of experiment the three kinds of parameters can extracted with effectively from normal radial pulse waveform.

  • In this paper, a coaxial sample holder is proposed with its de-embedding and parameter extraction procedure. The S-parameters were measured up to 1 GHz using network analyzer, HP8753D, and N-type connector together with the de-embedding of N-type connector. The proposed de-embedding procedure is performed to extract electrical parameters of blood glucose, which gives the permittivity of blood glucose. We also analyzed the error of extracted parameters, which are caused by instrument error and geometrical error. Using these error analyses, we reduced the error factors of extracted parameters. We extracted electrical parameters of glucose samples through these all extraction procedure and confirmed the possibility of glucose diagnosis system based on microwave system.

  • Purpose Usability is an important factor in our life. This paper presents an approach to design the clinical work-flow for ultrasound system. And, we tried to apply this work-flow in diagnosis ultrasound system. Materials and Methods For user learnability, we follow international standard IEC 60601-1-1 and IEC 62366 which describes usability of medical instrument. User requirement are applied by 10 clinicians who are well aware of usability. We considered user environment and designed clinical work-flow into two types: general use and emergency use. The designed clinical work-flow was evaluated by 10 clinicians and results derived from the evaluation were analyzed. Results We could successfully design optimized clinical workflow of ultrasound system. Conclusion This paper suggests usability testing for optimized ultrasound clinical workflow. Using this clinical work flow, users can enhance their clinical performance and reduce operation time.
