발달장애 아동의 한약치료에 관한 치험 2례 - GMFM과 PEDI 중심으로 (Two Cases of Patients with Developmental Disorder Treated by Herbal Medicine Alone)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report clinical effect of herbal medicine on developmental disorder Methods: The patients were treated with herbal medicine and evaluated by gross motor function measure(GMFM), and pediatric evaluation of disability inventory(PEDI). Results: The patient's gross motor function measure, and pediatric evaluation of disability inventory were significantly improved after six months to nine months of herbal medicine treatment. Conclusions: This study shows that herbal medicine is effective on developmental disorder induced. However, further clinical studies are needed.

한약치료로 호전된 발달지연아의 수면장애 2례 (2 Cases of Sleep Disorder of Developmental Delayed Children Treated by Herbal medicine)

  • Objectives: This study aims to find out the effect of herbal medicine on sleep disorder in developmental delayed children. Methods: 2 patients were treated by herbal medicine. For the progress evaluation, we used The Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ). Results: The clinical symptoms were improved after the treatment. Conclusion: This study reports that the herbal medicine improved sleep disorder in developmental delayed children, but further studies are needed to clarify the effectiveness of the treatment.

발달장애인의 평생교육 참여의사에 영향을 미치는 변인 탐색 (Exploring Variables Affecting the Willingness to Participate in Lifelong Education for the People with Developmental Disabilities)

  • 이 연구는 발달장애인의 평생교육 참여의사에 영향을 미치는 변인을 탐색함으로써 발달장애인 평생교육 활성화를 위한 기초 자료를 제시하기 위해 수행되었다. 2017년 장애인실태조사 원자료 중 발달장애인을 대상으로 한 자료를 활용하였고, 발달장애인의 평생교육 참여의사를 종속변수로 발달장애인의 평생교육 참여의사에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 16개 변인을 독립변수로 각각 설정하여 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 발달장애인의 성, 연령, 장애정도, 가족지지, 생활만족도, 수단적일상생활수행능력이 발달장애인의 평생교육 참여의사에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변인으로 탐색되었다. 따라서 발달장애인 평생교육 활성화를 위해서는 기관, 관련 인력 및 프로그램 확대와 같은 인프라 구축뿐만 아니라 발달장애인이 평생교육에 참여하고자 하는 의지를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안도 함께 마련될 필요가 있다.

비장애 아동과 전반적 발달장애 아동에서 회전 후 안구진탕 기간의 비교 (The Difference of Duration of Post-rotatory Nystagmus Test Between Normal Children and Children With Pervasive Developmental Disorder)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to get the mean of duration of post-rotatory nystagmus test in normal children and to differentiate the duration of post-rotatory nystagmus test between normal children and children with pervasive developmental disorder. Method : 84 subjects were between 3 and 5 years of age and consisted of 64 normal children and 20 children with the pervasive developmental disorder. Analysis of the data was done by using t-test and ANOVA. Results : The results were as follows: 1. Range of duration of post-rotatory nyatagmus test in normal children was $5{\sim}22$second on left and $7{\sim}21$ second on right and the mean was 12.63 second on left and 12.59 second on right. 2. Range of duration of post-rotatory nystagmus test in children with the pervasive developmental disorder was $3{\sim}11$ second on both and the mean was 5.65 second on left and 5.60 second on right. 3. There was no significant difference between males and females with normal children in duration of post-rotatory nystagmus test. However, there was a significant difference of the mean duration between 3 and 5 years old normal group. 4. Children with pervasive developmental disorder significantly have relatively lower duration than the duration of post-rotatory nystagmus test of normal children. Conclusions : The results of the study showed significant difference between normal children and children with pervasive developmental disorder in duration of post-rotatory nystagmus test and suggest that they could be applied to the baseline of clinical therapy.

생쥐 난자의 유리화 동결과 전핵기 배아의 동결 조건이 배아의 발달에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Cryopreservation Condition on Developmental Rate of Pronuclear Stage Embryos and Vitrification of Mouse Oocytes)

  • The present study was performed to investigate the survival and subsequent embryonic developmental rate of immature and mature oocytes after vitrification and pronuclear stage embryos after slow-freezing and vitrification. We have also tried to examine the dependency of concentrations (7.5, 15%) and exposure time (5, 10, 20 min) of ED cryoprotectant on developmental rate of pronuclear stage embryos. The developmental rates of 2-ce1l and blastocyst embryos at mature oocytes were significantly (p<0.05) higher than immature oocytes. After slow freezing, vitrification and thawing of pronuclear stage embryo, the survival and developmental rates of blastocysts and hatched blastocysts were significantly (p<0.05) higher after vitrification than after slow-freezing. On contrary, the developmental rates of 2-cell embryos were significantly (p<0.05) higher after slow freezing than after vitrification. The cryopreservation methods of pronuclear stage embryos vitrified by exposed to 7.5% ED solution for 5 minutes was significantly (p<0.05) higher than other experimental group. The results of our study suggest 1hat the developmental rates of mature oocytes have been more successful than immature oocytes during vitrification. Vitrification was more efficient than slow freezing in case of pronuclear stage embryos. The effective cryopreservation method of pronuclear stage embryos was vitrified by exposed to 7.5% ED solution for 5 minutes.

제 2대구치 및 제 3대구치 발육에 따른 연령감정에 관한 연구 (A Study of Correlation between the Development of the Third Molar and Second Molar as an Aid in Age Determination)

  • This study was undertaken to obtain the data for age determination following the calcification degree of the second molar, third molar in the point of forensic odontology. The intraoral panoramic radiograph of 1600 male and 1600 female (100 persons each age) ranging from 7 to 2 years of age were studied. The developmental state of the second molar and third molar were divided into 12 stages following the calcification degree and correlations of second molar developmental stage and statistically analyzed. The results were as follows : 1. There was remarkable correlation between the development of the second molar, the third molar and age. 2. There was no significant developmental differences between the right and left second molar, third molar.(p>0.05) 3. The developmental stages of the lower second molar was more advanced than those of upper second molar. (p<0.05) 4. The developmental stages of upper third molar was more advanced than those of lower third molar. (p<0.05) 5. Both the developmental stages of second, third molars were earlier in the female than in the male. (p<0.001) 6. For the purpose of age estimation according to developmental stages of the second, third molar, linear equations are as follows. (p<0.001) second molar : male upper : Y=1.3927X + 0.2213 (r=0.72) lower : Y=1.4132X + 0.0012 (r=0.78) female upper : Y=1.4914X + 0.2151 (r=0.73) lower : Y=1.5429X - 0.0911 (r=0.78)

발달장애인 가족지원 서비스에 대한 중요도-만족도 분석 (Analysis on the Importance and Satisfaction of Family Support Service for Families with Developmental Disabilities)

  • 이 연구에서는 발달장애인 가족 284명을 대상으로 가족지원 서비스에 대한 중요도와 만족도 인식 수준을 알아보았는데, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 발달장애인 가족의 가족지원 서비스에 대한 중요도-만족도 인식 수준은 전반적으로 그리고 하위유형별로 모두 통계적 유의차가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 발달장애인 가족의 가족지원 서비스에 대한 중요도 인식 수준은 양육활동 지원, 신체적 물질적 안녕 지원, 가족 상호작용 지원의 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 발달장애인 가족의 가족지원 서비스에 대한 만족도는 양육활동 지원, 가족 상호작용 지원, 정서적 안녕 지원의 순으로 나타났다. 넷째, 중요도-만족도 사분면의 특성을 분석하여 현상 유지, 개선 노력, 중장기 전략 필요 등을 제안하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 발달장애인 가족지원 서비스의 개선을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

PARK2 Induces Osteoclastogenesis through Activation of the NF-κB Pathway

  • Osteoclast generation from monocyte/macrophage lineage precursor cells needs to be tightly regulated to maintain bone homeostasis and is frequently over-activated in inflammatory conditions. PARK2, a protein associated with Parkinson's disease, plays an important role in mitophagy via its ubiquitin ligase function. In this study, we investigated whether PARK2 is involved in osteoclastogenesis. PARK2 expression was found to be increased during the receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL)-induced osteoclast differentiation. PARK2 gene silencing with siRNA significantly reduced osteoclastogenesis induced by RANKL, LPS (lipopolysaccharide), TNFα (tumor necrosis factor α), and IL-1β (interleukin-1β). On the other hand, overexpression of PARK2 promoted osteoclastogenesis. This regulation of osteoclastogenesis by PARK2 was mediated by IKK (inhibitory κB kinase) and NF-κB activation while MAPK (mitogen-activated protein kinases) activation was not involved. Additionally, administration of PARK2 siRNA significantly reduced osteoclastogenesis and bone loss in an in vivo model of inflammatory bone erosion. Taken together, this study establishes a novel role for PARK2 as a positive regulator in osteoclast differentiation and inflammatory bone destruction.

Effects of Theme-Based Garden Book Making in Capstone Design on Self-Determination and Social Skills of College Students with Developmental Disabilities

  • Background and objective: This study was conducted to examine the effects of the theme-based garden book (photo book) making integration program on social skills and self-determination of college students with developmental disabilities. Methods: We analyzed the changes in social skills and self-determination of college students with developmental disabilities. The first step was defining the theme-based garden book (photo book) making integration program, which was done by focus group interviews (FGI) comprised of specialists in the industry and academia. The second step was carrying out 8 sessions of the program. The third step was examining the effects of the program on social skills and self-determination of college students with developmental disabilities. The participants of this study were 36 college students with developmental disabilities attending N University, and 17 students were in the experiment group and the other 19 in the control group. Results: The control group showed no statistically significant changes in the three sub-domains of social skills, while the experimental group showed statistically significant differences across all three sub-domains, such as cooperation(P < .05), assertion(P < .05), and self-control(P < .05). The experimental group, that participated in the program showed statistically significant differences across all four sub-domains of self-determination skills, such as behavior (P < .05), cognition(P < .05), school support(P < .05) and home support(P < .05). This proved that the theme-based garden book (photo book) making program contributed to bringing positive effects to self-determination and social skills. Conclusion: These results suggest that the theme-based garden book (photo book) making integration program could improve self-determination and social skills of college students with developmental disabilities. These positive changes are related to the high level of interest in theme-based garden design programs among college students with developmental disabilities, and thus these programs can be used effectively to improve social adjustment.

멀티미디어 저작도구를 이용한 발달장애 진단.평가 시스템 구현연구 (Developmental disability Diagnosis Assessment Systems Implementation using Multimedia Authorizing Tool)

  • 본 논문에서는 그동안 부분적으로 진행된 발달장애 진단 평가에 관련된 전산처리를 멀티미디어 기법을 응용하여 발달장애 진단 평가분야에 새로운 방법을 제시한다. 발달장애 진단 평가를 위한 멀티미디어 정보는 여러 가지 속성을 지니고 있기 때문에 모든 발달장애 진단 평가 정보에 대한 기술을 사람이 수행해야 할 때는 엄청난 작업량이 수반될 뿐 아니라 동일한 데이터에 대한 기술이 주관에 따라 달라질 수도 있다는 것을 알게 되였다. 특히 발달장애 시스템 구현은 현재의 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 동영상 데이터 처리에 대한 비중의 증가, 텍스트 위주의 데이터에서 시각적인 동영상으로의 데이터 활용의 전이 등 발달장애 데이터가 멀티미디어 환경에 적합한 데이터로의 전이가 필수적이며 사용자 역시 빠른 이해를 위해 시각적 데이터를 선호하기 때문에 본 논문에서는 GUI(Graphics User Interface) 기법을 도입하여 검사 중에 텍스트 명령어는 거의 사용하지 않고도 발달장애 진단 평가를 수행할 수 있게 했다. 특히 발달장애 진단 평가에서 필요한 각종 데이터는 그 속성이 영상, 이미지, 논리연산의 필요성 및 각종 연산이 요구된다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 편집대상 데이터(Content)에 의해 관련 정보를 검색하는 내용 기반(Content-based)의 검색 기술에 대한 연구를 적용했다.
