  • This study aimed to prevent inconvenience to electric vehicle users caused by an interruption of charging by the earth leakage breaker trip that occurs during charging. As a field case study, it was confirmed that during the battery charger failure type, leakage current measurement experiment by vehicle type, and leakage current breaker operation experiment, the internal temperature of the charger rose to more than 60 ℃ in summer, and the earth leakage circuit breaker stopped charging by tripping at 80% of the rated sensitivity current. Through Joule heating modeling, 32A is energized at the reference temperature of 30 ℃ at the initial time t=0 (s). After t=3000 (s), the heat generated around the charging part of the earth leakage breaker increased to 32.4 ℃. The temperature and time factors correlated with the amount of heat generated according to the statistical verification tool with a correlation coefficient of 0.97. Overall, it is possible to prevent the leakage breaker sensitivity current trip due to an increase in temperature inside the charger in summer by performing a Joule heating simulation according to the material of the charging case, the arrangement of the internal wiring, and the dielectric medium when developing the charger device.

  • In order to reduce the radiation exposure dose of the patient and to obtain accurate diagnosis results, the quality control of the diagnostic radiation generator must be conducted periodically In particular, bone density test equipment could be influenced by many factors, and it is far more important because inaccurate measurement would eventually affect the result value. However, the cross-correction phantom of DXA equipment is poorly penetrated due to lack of awareness of the industry and the high cost. Therefore, this study developed a BMD phantom using a 3D printer and Korean BMD phantom with low cost by cross analyzing Korean BMD value from The Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey and evaluated it. The L1, L2, and L3 BMD values of phantoms produced with the 3D printer were measured to be $0.887{\pm}0.006g/cm^2$, $0.927{\pm}0.006g/cm^2$, and $0.960{\pm}0.005g/cm^2$, at 215 mm height and $0.882{\pm}0.011g/cm^2$, $0.914{\pm}0.005g/cm^2$, $0.933{\pm}0.008g/cm^2$ at 155 mm height displaying statistically significant relevance. The result suggests that a proper quality control and cross calibration of DXA device be possible and expected to be an essential data for various medical phantom manufacture development using 3D printer.

  • Heterogeneous sedimentary deposits with different soil colors and various degree of hardness are exposed in its foredune and tidal zone due to the effects of recently accelerated coastal erosion along the Ujeon Coast in Jeung-do, Shinan-gun. This study was conducted on the assumption that these sedimentary deposits were developed in different timing and environments. Thus, we can infer the geomorphic development processes of the area based on evidences like the physicochemical characteristics of each sedimentary layer. Several analysis of these sedimentary depositssuch as grain size analysis, X-ray Fluorescence Measurement (XRF), and Loss on ignition (LOI) were performed on central (Ujeon A) and southern (Ujeon B) parts of the Ujeon Coast. I found that the foredune sedimentary deposits have four stages of geomorphic development processes. In the initial stage of development, during the peak of the Last Interglacial Period (MIS 5e), basal deposits were accumulated in the low-energy environment of subtidal zones. In the second stage, during the Last Glacial Period (MIS 4~MIS 2), eolian sedimentary layers were developed by terrestrial aeolian processes by which fine materials were transported from the Yellow Sea which became a dry land exposed by lowered sea level. In the third stage, various mechanism existed for the formation of each sedimentary layer. In the region of Ujeon A, sedimentary layers were developed in the littoral zone environment dominated by marine processes during the maximum phase of transgression in the Holocene. Meanwhile, the region of Ujeon B began to form eolian sedimentary layers during MIS 2. In the last stage, thick coastal dune deposits, covered all over the Ujeon Coast. During the late Holocene (0.7~0.6 ka), terrestrial processes kept dominating the region, developing typical eolian sedimentary layers.

  • This study aims to develop a bodice and a jacket in 3D of the late 19th to early 20th based on the pattern drafting book of Gordon S. S., which contains body measurement method and pattern drafting system. The findings of this research are as follows. First, female tops of the late 19th to early 20th century are categorized as outer, jacket, vest, and bodice. Of these, this study highlights the jacket, which can be divided into 4 types: 4 kinds of basic jacket, 2 kinds of riding jacket, bolero jacket, and newmarket jacket. Second, by referring to Gordon's pattern drafting system and book, a bodice was developed in 3D format based on the adherence to the following steps: analysis of the pattern drafting system, pattern drafting, 3D virtual simulation, 3D virtual fitting analysis, and the pattern correction. A bodice pattern corrected by 3D virtual clothing simulation results was proposed. Last, a basic sleeve and collar pattern for a basic jacket was drafted, which was followed by the correction and transformation of the bodice pattern. The jacket developed shows great fit except for the issues at the armhole line and shoulder, which were caused by the unique shape of the sleeves(big sleeve head) of the time. The study attempted to develop the past costumes in 3D, providing the basis for interdisciplinary research in the field of fashion history field and suggesting a new approach for the virtual restoration of costumes. Future studies should target to 3D virtual simulation in accordance to the 3D avatar pose in the developed virtual costume.
