  • 본 논문에서는 1.5um 파장대에서 감쇄기를 이용한 유사단일광원을 이용하여 단일광자검출의 특성을 실험적으로 분석하였다. Gated Geiger 모드에서 APD를 동작 하여 열적 노이즈에 따른 양자효율을 측정하였다. 또한 APD를 이용하여 단일광자를 고속으로 검출시 문제가 되는 afterpulsing 노이즈의 온도별 특성을 분석하였다.

  • The usefulness of malaria diagnosis by Plusmodium JaLcipawn-GDH (NADP+), obtained by affinity chromatography. is demonstrated in ELISA assays, testing IgG antibodies against GDH (NADP+) from patients with acute malaria, who have had two or more episodes of malaria. or from sera of hyperimmune patients. GDH (NADP+) thermal stability was demonstrated in a high heat resistance assay. The immunofluorescence assay demonstrated that anti-culture (P. falciporum) supernatant serum and anti-GDH (NADP+) of Proton app. recognized epitopes in Venezuelan isolates and Colombian and Brazilian malarial strains. The antigen is soluble, with high specificity is a potent imnlunogen and is thermoresistant.   • The reduction of $CO_2$ emissions has been a key target in the Marine Industry since the IMO's Marine Environment Protection Committee published its findings in 2009. The representative emission index is termed as the EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Index) for the new ships. Among various flow control techniques ever proposed, the air lubrication method is the one of most promising one in terms of practical applicability. The present study examines the basic characteristics of the flat plate test with intention of applying the air lubrication technology to the reduction of the resistance of a ship. Image analysis technique is proposed as a tool to quantify the effectiveness of the air lubrication method.

  • Electrolytic power capacitors today form essential components for virtually any power electronic system such as DC/DC converter or UPS. Frequently, electrolytic capacitors for DC link voltage smoothing are the key components which determine the life cycle of the whole unit and often are responsible for converter breakdown failures. In this paper, ethernet-based remote diagnosis system for DC voltage smoothing capacitor using DSP control board is developed. To estimate the status of the capacitor, the equivalent series resistor(ESR) of the component has to be determined. The ESR detection scheme is based on the determination of the capacitor ripple power losses calculated from DC link voltage/current measurement. Experimental results show the veridity and reliability of the proposed ethernet-based remote on-line capacitor diagnosis system.

Feedback Active Noise Control Based Voice Enhancing Ear-Protection System

  • This paper proposes a voice enhancing ear-protection system which is based on feedback active noise control(FBANC). The proposed system selectively suppresses the background noise and preserves the talking voice by controlling the adaptive algorithm with the voice activity period detection module. The noise reduction performance of the proposed noise canceling algorithm is analytically derived for the two key performance affecting parameters, i.e., electro-acoustic coupling distance and noise bandwidth. The proposed system is also implemented with a floating-point DSP system and its performance is experimentally tested to compare with the analytically derived results. The achieved levels of noise reduction for the three different noise bandwidths cases, i.e., 10Hz, 50Hz, and 90Hz, are high to show 17.05dB, 10.54dB and 8.99dB, respectively. The feasibility of the proposed system is also shown by the peak noise reduction achieved more than 25dB while preserving the voice component in the frequency range between 200-800Hz.

Electrical Resistance Tomography: Mesh Grouping and Boundary Estimation Algorithms

  • This paper presents the development and application of electrical resistance imaging techniques for the visualization of two-phase flow fields. Two algorithms, the so-called the mesh grouping and the boundary estimation, are described for potential applications of electrical resistance tomography (ERT) and results from extensive numerical simulations are also presented. In the electrical resistance imaging for two-phase flows, numerical meshes fairly belonging to each phase can be grouped to improve the reconstruction performance. In many cases, the detection of phase boundary is a key subject and a mathematical model to estimate phase boundary can be formulated in a different manner. Our results indicated that the mesh grouping algorithm is effective to enhance computational performance and image quality, and boundary estimation algorithm to determine the phase boundary directly.

  • 소셜 네트웍을 통한 다양한 서비스들은 새로운 비즈니스 모델의 형성이라는 긍정적인 측면이 있는 반면에, 개인정보 누출이나 스팸과 같이 부정적인 측면도 등장하고 있다. 현재 스팸을 차단하기 위해 스팸방지 가이드라인, 스팸 단어 검색에 의한 스팸 메시지 차단 등 많은 방법 및 연구들이 논의되어 왔다. 하지만, 기존의 차수를 활용한 방법은 스팸이 아닌 정점 또한 스팸으로 간주하는 문제점을 가지고 있어 부정확하다는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이를 해결하고자 다른 구조적 특성인 순환을 분석하여 스팸들을 차단하는 방법을 제안하고 그 효과를 입증하였다.

A Simple Speech/Non-speech Classifier Using Adaptive Boosting

  • We propose a new method for speech/non-speech classifiers based on concepts of the adaptive boosting (AdaBoost) algorithm in order to detect speech for robust speech recognition. The method uses a combination of simple base classifiers through the AdaBoost algorithm and a set of optimized speech features combined with spectral subtraction. The key benefits of this method are the simple implementation, low computational complexity and the avoidance of the over-fitting problem. We checked the validity of the method by comparing its performance with the speech/non-speech classifier used in a standard voice activity detector. For speech recognition purpose, additional performance improvements were achieved by the adoption of new features including speech band energies and MFCC-based spectral distortion. For the same false alarm rate, the method reduced 20-50% of miss errors.

  • Building information plays a key role in diverse applications such as urban planning, telecommunication and environment monitoring. Automatic building extraction has been a prime interest in the field of GIS and photogrammetry. In this paper, we presented an automatic approach for building extraction from lidar data. The proposed approach is divided into four processes: pre-processing, filtering, segmentation and building extraction. Experimental results showed that the proposed method detected most of buildings with less commission and omission errors.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크는 개방된 환경에 단거리 무선 통신으로 정보를 수집하는 센서 노드와 이를 수집하는 베이스 스테이션으로 운영된다. 이러한 센서 네트워크의 특징으로 인해 공격자를 통해 쉽게 훼손될 수 있으며 대표적인 공격방법으로 싱크홀 공격이 있다. LEAP은 싱크홀 공격에 대응하기 위해 네 종류의 키를 사용하여 노드 간 인증을 하도록 제안되었다. 이 기법은 보안성을 유지하기 위해 주기적으로 베이스 스테이션까지의 경로를 갱신한다. 본 논문에서는, 내부 싱크홀 공격을 LEAP과 같은 키의 인증을 통하여 탐지하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 이전 노드, 다음 노드와의 키 인증을 통해 공격을 탐지한다. 공격이 탐지되면 해당 노드를 네트워크에서 제외하고 경로를 갱신하며 갱신된 경로를 통해 새로운 키를 배포한다. 그러므로 제안 기법은 이전 노드, 다음 노드와의 키 인증을 통해 싱크홀 공격을 탐지함으로써 전체 네트워크 보안성 향상을 목적으로 한다.
