  • This paper presents an approach for the monitoring and detection of faults in induction machine by using data fusion technique and Dempster-Shafer theory Features are extracted from motor stator current and vibration signals. Neural network is trained and Hosted by the selected features of the measured data. The fusion of classification results from vibration and current classifiers increases the diagnostic accuracy. The efficiency of the proposed system is demonstrated by detecting motor electric and mechanical faults originated from the induction motors. The results of the test confirm that the proposed system has potential for real time application.

  • We introduce a scheme with a maximized efficiency of detecting atoms passing through an optical standing-wave mode cavity. Consider a standing-wave optical cavity illuminated by a weak probe beam through one of its mirrors where the transmission through the other mirror is monitored by a photodetector. If an atom is put in the cavity, the atom-cavity coupling shifts the resonance frequency of the system via the so-called normal mode splitting, and thereby the transmission power will drop. In fact, this type of atom detection scheme has been used in recent single atom trap experiments In practice, however, the field in a standing-wave mode will have a geometrical structure having nodes and antinodes that when the atom traverses the cavity through one of the nodes, there will be no such effect of atom-field interaction. • Edge detection considers the important technical details of digital image processing. Many edge detection operators already perform edge detection in digital color imaging. In this study, the edge of many real color images that represent the type of digital image was detected using a new operator in the least square approximation method, which is a type of numerical method. The Linear Fitting algorithm is computationally more expensive compared to the Canny, LoG, Sobel, Prewitt, HIS, Fuzzy, Parametric, Synthetic and Vector methods, and Robert' operators. The results showed that the new method can detect an edge in a digital color image with high efficiency compared to standard methods used for edge detection. In addition, the suggested operator is very useful for detecting the edge in a digital color image.

  • As network adaptive streaming technology becomes increasingly common, transport protocol also becomes important in guaranteeing the quality of multimedia streaming. At the same time, because of the appearance of high-quality video such as Ultra High Definition (UHD), preventing buffering as well as preserving high quality while deploying a streaming service becomes important. The Internet Engineering Task Force recently published Multipath TCP (MPTCP). MPTCP improves the maximum transmission rate by simultaneously transmitting data over different paths with multiple TCP subflows. However, MPTCP cannot preserve high quality, because the MPTCP subflows slowly increase the transmission rate, and upon detecting a packet loss, drastically halve the transmission rate. In this paper, we propose a new multipath congestion control scheme for high-quality multimedia streaming. The proposed scheme preserves high quality of video by adaptively adjusting the increasing parameter of subflows according to the network status. The proposed scheme also increases network efficiency by providing load balancing and stability, and by supporting fairness with single-flow congestion control schemes.

  • Fresnel lens has number of applications in the optical systems because of its advantages. It is nearly flat lens that has small weight. It is conventionally used in lighthouse beacons, condensing unit of overhead projector and etc. Recently, demands of small size optical systems such as display units, information storage systems, optical detecting units had increased. Conventional manufacturing process of high quality Fresnel lens is direct machining. But it is not suitable for mass production because of high cost and long cycle time. Replication process is more suitable for mass production. But the Fresnel lens has number of sharp blade shape prism. In the replication process, this blade shape causes defects that can affect optical efficiency. In this study, replication process of blade shape pattern that has maximum height of $280{\mu}m$, aspect ratio 1.4 for Fresnel lens application.

  • Multi-Layer Ceramic Circuit(MLCC) in the face of thousands of fine pitch multi hole is processed. However, the fine pitch multi hole has a size of only a few micrometers. Therefore, in order to curtail the measurement time and reduce error, the image processing measurement method is required. So, we proposed an image processing measurement algorithm which is required to accurately measure the fine pitch multi hole. The proposed algorithm gets image of the fine pitch multi hole, extracts object from the image by morphological process, and extracts the parameters of its position and feature by edge detecting process. In addition, we have used the sub-pixel algorithm to improve accuracy. As a result, the proposed algorithm shows 97% test-retest measurement reliability within 2 ${\mu}m$. We found that the algorithm was wellsuited for measuring the fine pitch multi hole.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a method for determining the k most vital arcs in the maximum flow problem using genetic algorithms. Generally, the problem which determine the k most vital arcs in maximum flow problem has known as NP-hard. Therefore, in this study we propose a method for determining all the k most vital arcs in maximum flow problem using genetic algorithms. First, we propose a genetic algorithm to find the k most vital arcs removed at the same time and then present the expression and determination method of individuals compatible with the characteristics of the problem, and specify the genetic parameter values of constitution, population size, crossover rate, mutation rate and etc. of the initial population which makes detecting efficiency better. Finally, using the proposed algorithms, we analyzed the performance of searching optimal solution through computer experiment. The proposed algorithms found all alternatives within shorter time than other heuristic methods. The method presented in this study can determine all the alternatives when there exists other alternative solutions.

  • To prevent structured peer to peer (P2P) overlay networksfrom being attacked by malicious nodes, a symmetric lookup-based routing algorithm referred to as Symmetric-Chord is proposed in this paper. The proposed algorithm determines the precision of routing lookup by constructing multiple paths to the destination. The selective routing algorithm is used to acquire information on the neighbors of the root. Authenticity of the root is validated via consistency shown between the information ascertained from the neighbors and information from the yet-to-be-verified root, resulting in greater efficiency of resource lookup. Simulation results demonstrate that Symmetric-Chordhas the capability of detecting malicious nodes both accurately and efficiently, so as to identify which root holds the correct key, and provides an effective approach to the routing security for the P2P overlay network.

  • A nonparametric procedure is proposed to test the exponentiality against the hypothesis that one life distribution has a greater residual life times than the other life distribution. Such a hypothesis turns out to be equivalent to the one that one failure rate is greater than the other and so the proposed test works as a competitor to more IFR tests by Kochar (1979, 1981) and Cheng (1985). Our test statistic utilizes the U-statistics theory and a large sample nonpara metric test is established. The power of the proposed test is discussed by calculating the Pitman asymptotic relative efficiencies against several alter native hypotheses. A numerical example is presented to exemplify the proposed test.
