  • The purpose of this study was to design wedding dress by using Korean paper(Hanji). The Korean paper showed the good(excellent) properties of durability, softness, and tensile strength was 3.7Kg, tear index was 6 mN$.$$m_2$/g and folding numbers was 466. The appreance of Hanji was widely varied by blending(mixing) with other materials and various effects, pleating, crumpling, twisting and so on were achieved. The dress silhouette and form transformation of Hanji was very easy. Detailed points those are frill, pleats, gather, bow, paper casting, pin tuck for wedding dress were able to express easily. Hanji wedding dress has the natural texture because of natural properties of Hanji and that is echo friendly products.

  • The wind turbine, Europe and the United States are different with the standards process each other when the manufacturing company which in order to demand the standards process to a construction in the multi country with interested parties of the corresponding nation to, always the re-agreement is difficult. Korean wind turbine also detail there is not a standard, when it produces and establishes of wind turbine, the problem point occurs. It is like that investigation of international standards system it leads and when it prepares the Acoustic noise measurement of the Wind Turbine Systems of Korea, it prepares the base for industrial development wind turbine of Korea.

  • It is almost impossible to aggregate environment-related information, simply because it is vast. Therefore, Recently, the development of an environmental index is attracting the attention in Korea and other nations, since it is taken to be useful for legislating environmental policies. When it comes to the development of an environmental index, the first necessary step is to organize environmental information by using an accounting framework that manifests outstanding consistency and inclusiveness. And then, this organized environmental information should be appropriately used, whenever required. Compared to these movements, it is necessary to point out that the environmental accounts in the agricultural section still suffer from numerous problems that need to be solved. According1y, this dissertation suggests and considers at least the following three matters. First of all, an integrated index evaluation method should be developed, taking domestic and foreign movements into consideration at the time of conducting the environmental evaluation. Secondly, a master plan for the environmental accounts should be developed for the agricultural sector. And thirdly and finally, problems and solutions incurred during the process of performing the aforementioned tasks need to be examined in detail.

  • A complete potential profile of an electrical double layer is calculated from a distribution function of charged particles based upon a model where the effect of a charged electrode and the finite size of ion are explicitly included. Electrons which are distributed on the electrode surface are assumed not to penetrate the electrode/electrolyte boundary. Formation of the constant density regions and their effects on potential and the electrical double layer capacitances are studied in great detail. The distribution of surface electrons as well as the constant density regions are found to be essential in characterizing the electrical double layer. The introduction of the ion size into the prior electrical double layer model of an ideally polarizable electrode/point charged electrolyte system, shows a great improvement in its characteristics mostly at negative potential region.

  • An approximate nonlinear theory of the Oregonator model is obtained with the aid of an ordinary perturbation method when the system is perturbed by some kinds of external input. The effects of internal and external parameters on the oscillations are discussed in detail by taking specific values of the parameters. A simple approximate solution for the Oregonator model under the influence of a constant input is obtained and the result is compared with the numerical result. For other types of external inputs the approximate solutions up to the fourth order expansion are compared with the numerical results. For a periodic input, we found that the entrainment depends crucially on the difference between the internal and external frequencies near the bifurcation point.

  • Mikhail Vrubel' has written three Hamlet paintings in his extraordinary tragic lifetime. The first watercolor painting , which he has written in 1883, remained unfinished. He could not complete the second version of , which he painted in oil in the next year, neither. Finally, he has completed the third version of in 1888. As is generally known, is not widely known Vrubel's work. This work is mainly mentioned from the point of view that it is the first literary hero whom Vrubel' has created in his literatureoriented art world, and it is a presage of the Demon, Vrubel's central hero's advent. In this paper, we analyzed Vrubel's three from a different angle, nothing but from the angle of Russian Hamletism. For this, in the second chapter, we've researched Vrubel's main artistic credo. In the next chapter, we've analyzed Vrubel's three in detail from the view of Russian Hamletism.

  • An impact on the ground surface may represent several phenomena, such as a crash of an airplane or an explosion or the passage of a train. In order to analyze and design structures and equipment to resist such a type of shocks, the response spectra for an impact on the ground must be given. We investigated the half-space motions due to impact using the finite element method. We performed extensive parametric analyses to define a suitable finite element model and arrive at displacement time histories and response spectra at varying distances from the impact point. The principal scope of our study has been to derive response spectra which: (a) provide insight and illustrate in detail the half-space response to an impact load, (b) can be readily used for the analysis of structures resting on a ground subjected to an impact and (c) are a new family of results for the impact problem and can serve as reference for future research.

  • This study investigated how pre-service English teachers perceive the effects of machine teaching on their English writing competence. 35 Korean students who are majoring in English education participated in this study. The participants used machine translators for one of the required courses related to English composition. A survey and focus group interview were conducted at the end of the course. They were asked to answer to what degree they perceive the effects of machine translators on their writing in terms of lexical, sentential, and discourse levels. Furthermore, their perspectives on the effects of machine translation on English teaching including limitations of machine translators, were interviewed in more detail. The results show that the participants perceive machine translators quite positively in terms of improving their writing competence, but they also point out some critical limitations of machine translators. These findings have some pedagogical implications for English writing course instructors, English teacher educators, and program developers.

  • This paper introduces a rapid measurement technique for the stress-optic coefficient, using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. First we propose a design combining a four-point bending device with a scanning stage to streamline the loading process. Then we detail the measurement principle and outline the signal-processing algorithm. The experiments are carried out on Al2O3, a representative ceramic material. The experimental data reveal that the refractive index of Al2O3 exhibits a linear decrease with increasing stress. This work supplies an efficient method for stress measurement rooted in the stress-optic effect.
