An LMI Approach to Output Feedback Sliding Mode Controller Design (출력 궤환 슬라이딩 모드 제어기 설계를 위한 선형행렬부등식 접근법)

  • The problem of designing dynamic output feedback sliding mode controllers for uncertain multivariable linear systems is considered. Using linear matrix inequalities(LMIs), a feasibility condition for the design problem is derived. Explicit fomulas of the gain matrices of a full order output feedback sliding mode controller in terms of the solution matrices of the LMI condition is given. A simple LMI-based algorithm for designing output feedback sliding mode controllers is also given. Finally, numerical design examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Ballasts for HID lamp need a igniter to start the lamp with very high voltage over several kV. Electronic ballasts use various internal igniter in electronic circuits. The paper describe the simulation method for designing the igniter, which helps selecting the component properly by estimating operation voltage and current in circuits.

  • The deionization behavior in plasma during arc discharge of mercury arc rectifier depends on ambipolar diffusion. It is shown here in the quantitative analysis that a diameter of arc path which affects the mercury arc rectifier characteristics is related with the density of charged particles in plasma, the particle number of extruguish ion, the deionizing time and the recovering time of grid controlled ability. The conclusion would he useful for designing a diameter of arc path of mercury arc rectifier by quantitative method. And it could be applied to the designing of electrical apparatus using arc discharge phenomena.

  • The principle objective of this study is to make an integrated development environment with an expert system for designing RC retaining walls. The program has several advantages over conventional design tools and characteristics of functions. It is easy to use and to obtain the technical reports with minor efforts. Various possible design alternatives can be compared, then the most optimal design can be selected in terms of construction cost and structural safety.

  • This paper describes the program of optimally choosing parameter in designing inductor, which applied by fuzzy theory, and verifies the reliability of program to use in design of power supply of electronic machine and information communication. It is available to find optimal value of complex and various parameter, such as core, winding, winding number, and air-gap, etc., needed on designing inductor. We expects to minimize time and cost of inductor design.

Admitting this necessarily poses the following questions: Can a designer indeed plan for a particular emotion or experience? If yes, what factors must be devoted to designing the user's experience? How can the user's feelings and moods be measured when they use the product? The answer can be found in ethnographical design research.

  • This paper discusses the problem of designing an observation function as coarsest as possible in supervisory control of discrete event dynamic systems. Some algebraic properties of two sets consisting of observation functions for which the given desirable behavior is realizable are investigated:these sets with a partial ordering turn out not to possess largest elements. Two natural methods of obtaining an observation function, which is frequently coarser than the identity mapping, are also presented. An example illustrates the use of these methods.

  • The solution of problems in the automation of mold manufacturing process are high speed and resolution. To catch two problems at once, digital servo system will be essential replacing the analog servo system. In this paper, we tried some hardware/software approach including, designing basic structure, modeling of servo actuator, and designing & simulating of velocity & position controller. Finally, we constructed the hardware for 1 axis digital servo controller of NC system. As a result we obtained the design technics of digital servo systems for high speed NC system.

  • This paper proposes a method for designing stacking warehouses of pyramid type which can be found in storage rooms for steel coils, paper rolls, and drums for oils. Formulas were derived for estimating the expected travel time of cranes and the expected time for rehandling activities. Based on the derived formulas, this study derives the cost function for determining the optimal numbers of rows, bays, tiers of stacks under the condition that the requirement for storage space is satisfied. Numerical examples were given.

  • The Conventional-Anti-reset-Windup (CAW) structure gives pretty good performance among the conventional strategies that prevent systems from saturation, but there is no systematic way of designing the control systems. Also, it frequently destabilizes the systems. Moreover, the CAW structure cannot be applied when the output of the saturating actuator cannot be measured. Therefore the CAW structure is modified to accommodate this situation. An effective designing method is proposed to give better performance of the control system. The stability of the control system is also considered. The usefulness of the proposed method is shown by applying this method to a few examples.
