Design of Postdistortion Linearizer using Complex Envelope Transfer Characteristics of Power Amplifier (전력 증폭기의 복소 포락선 전달특성을 이용한 Postdistortion 방식의 선형화기의 설계)

  • A new linearization technique for RF high-power amplifiers(HPAs) using n-th order error signal generator (ESGn) is proposed. The n-th order ESG generates an error signal based on the complex envelope transfer characteristics of the HPA, which is combined at the output of the HPA. Therefore, the higher-order nonlinearlities are not affected by the ESG$\_$n/ and the stability of the linearized system is guaranteed due to the inherent open-loop configuration. Moreover, the output delay loss can be avoided, because the error signal is generated with the input signal of the HPA. The IMD(intermodulation distortion) improvement obtained applying the ESG$\_$7/ to 5 W class A HPA in cellular band demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed postdistortion system.

  • Vehicle classification system in domestic tollgates is usually to use treadle sensor for calculating wheel width and tread of the vehicle. due to the impact that occurs when the wheels of the vehicle contact, treadle sensor requires high durability. recently, KHC(Korea Highway Corporation) began operating high-speed lane for cargo truck. high-speed cargo truck generate more impact the design criteria of previous treadle. therefore, an increase in the maintenance and management costs of the treadle damage is concerned. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for obtaining optimal wheel width and tread using non-contact treadle sensor that been improved durability from physical impacts. for the verification of the proposed algorithm, a field test was performed using 1/2/3/6 class vehicles based on the KHC's classification criteria. through this experiments, maximum error of the width and the tread is each ${\pm}2cm$ and ${\pm}8cm$, also the accuracy was measured as 98%, 97% or more, and proved that the proposed algorithm valid on to apply to the vehicle classification system.

  • There arose problems of double investment about the game engine part when a lot of game software similar to the property and procedure processed in the game engine develop new game without the reference or reuse in the other games. In particular, using various software development processes is one of main problems of double investment when the enterprises for the game software development develop games now Accordingly, because it does not make standardization of process about the game engine, it does not understand and reuse products created in process of the other software development process in development now. Accordingly, the newly analyzed and designed software was big problems with the present game software about the game engine process similar to the other game software when the enterprises for any game software develop a special game. For solving these problems, this study is to suggest the process improvement about the game engine development, analysis of structure and relation, classification and combination method by the class and module, implementation of storage, and processor model in order to apply the development method based on the component.

  • The aim of this study is to suggest the strategy and policy to promote world class game industrial complex through the analysis of game contents business ecosystem in Seongnam. As a result of analysis, At present of the game contents industry in Seongnam as ecosystem is challenged in many-side as followings. 1)Lack of interaction between core game contents businesses and extended network businesses in same area. 2)Imbalanced relationships between game contents conglomerate and small and medium sized businesses. 3)Insufficient game contents optimized human resource and development program. This study provides a stepping stone for regional industrial ecosystem of game industry and new possibilities of application about regional industry analysis.

Analysis on Housing Energy for Applying Geothermal System in Mongolia (몽골에서의 지열 시스템 적용을 위한 주택 에너지분석)

  • In the capital of Mongolia where the air quality is getting worse due to the coal consumption used for electricity generation and district heating, the application of geothermal systems in the housing sector is recently designed for high class resort. In this study, the case of applying a geothermal system in a house in Mongolia is examined. The effects of passive house design on the needed heat pump capacity, as well as the annual energy consumption are analyzed. Moreover, as the initial costs, except labor fee, are assumed similar to Korea, cost analysis for several cases is examined, too. From the results, if a house is designed according to passive house standard instead of ASHRAE standard, the heat pump capacity can be expected to be reduced from 16 to 5~6 RT. Furthermore, although the initial cost of architectural cost might increased by 29 M\, the total initial cost is reduced by 14 M\, while the annual energy consumption is reduced by 14%. This is mainly driven by the fact that the geothermal system which serves as the main system to cover the building needs, with a high initial cost for fulfilling the peak requirements.

  • The purpose of this study is to design the meta search system and the curriculum-oriented directory system for youth in science and to prove the efficiency of the systems through evaluating the usability. To attain the purpose of this study, both of the quality and quantity research method were used and questionnaire, interview. observation, thinking aloud method were used to collect a data for research. The result of this study is that the meta search system supplying convenient information use environment about the distributed information sources has higher usability than the individual search system. And the curriculum-oriented directory system supplying accessibility related with the class has higher usability than the subject-oriented directory system.

  • The improvement of abilities of utilizing information as well as the education of information is coming to the fore as a really significant matter for students living in knowledge and information-oriented society of the 21st century. In this respect, this study aims to develop a teaching and learning model for technical high school students who need mon desire and comprehensive faculty of their learning and to testify its efficiency by relating their abilities of using in with their curriculum. We propose a teaching and learning model, LT&T, which lets the students have academic interests and perform continuously learning activities by helping students themselves to find their achievements of learning and their learning ability. The LT&T teaching and learning model, proposed in this paper, is developed by combining LT and Tournaments, and it enhances individual several intellectual powers, and also activates the academic interests to increase the effects of learning. After we had a class using the LT and the LT&T, we conducted a sample survey of which results show that learning effects of LT&T is better than that of LT by students of more 80%.

  • Recently, due to physical limitation of Si based power semiconductor, development speed of switching power semiconductors is falling and it is difficult to expect any further performance improvements. SiC based power semiconductor with superior characteristic than Si-based power semiconductor have been developed to overcome these limitations. however, there is not method to apply for real system. Therefore, suggested the feasibility and solution for SiC-based power semiconductor system. design to 1kW class DC-DC boost converter and demonstrated the superiority of SiC MOSFET under the same operating conditions by analyzing switching frequency, duty ratio, voltage and current, and comparing with Si based power semiconductor through experimental efficiency according to each system load. The SiC MOSFET has high efficiency and fast switching speed, and can be designed with small inductors and capacitors which has the advantage of volume reduction of the entire system.

  • If there is redeveloping into the system applying the object-oriented paradigm, productivity Improvement of software through reuse would be accomplished and maintenance cost be reduced. When a procedure-oriented system is transformed to a type applying the object-oriented paradigm, various techniques are studied to extract objects from source code automatically or semi-automatically. However, it is not easy to extract conceptuat objects when those techniques are applied, This problem entails another problem which drops the conceptual integrity of the extracted objects. In this paper, we suggest an object extraction method and tool development to resolve the problem occurring at the time when thc pr"~r"m, dcveloped through procedure-oriented is transformed to an object-oriented system. The suggested method allow to extract the desired objects using object modeling for various application domains of the real world given source code and design recovery information. During the extraction process, functionality and global variables of the source code as well as its intcrface arc rigorously analyzed. This process can enhance the conceptual integrity of the objects and make easy to construct class hierarchies.

  • The present education situations are rapidly changing to adapt to 'the Knowledge & Information-based Society'. Especially, the implementation of 'the 7th National Curriculum' put strong emphasis on the learner-centered education that refers to the ability grouping. Therefore, it is necessary that the change from a traditional teaching method to a learner-centered one in geography education will take place. This study will present a design of geography ability grouping through the Task-Solving Learning. This ability grouping method is suitable for the large class. And this study also presents a strategy by applying WBI, which make use of the advantage of computer and constructivism. This WBI model can be applied properly to many teaching-learning methods that includes Self-Directed Learning, Collaborate Learning, Ability Grouping, and Applying ICT Instruction. Actually they are demanded in the current education. A geography-classroom will have an accessible internet program as a precondition for this instruction.
