  • This paper describes the development procedure for Tail-Fan system which has the role of anti-torque and yaw control in helicopter. A detailed design of Tail-Fan system was done and structural analysis also was done. After finishing detailed design, Detailed drawings were generated for manufacture. Through detailed design and manufacture, required techniques were achieved for helicopter development. After validation through performance and stability test, acquired techniques will be applied to development of Korea Multi-role Helicopter(KMH) which will be launched

  • This research was peformed to manufacture a shroud using hanji and to investigate the characteristics of the hanji shroud manufactured. A hanji shroud were manufactured by considering the designs of the traditional costumes of shroud. The vast fibers were used for the manufacture of hanji. The shroud manufactured could keep the natural feeling of hanji. The shroud showed the feasibility in sewing compared to textiles. However, fine needlework was required due to the poor appearance of small holes made by changing of sewing line. Since the hanji shroud has excellent ability in preservation for a long-term period and economical advantages compared to the shroud currently made by hemp and cotton cloth, the demand of the hanji shroud may be increased in the near future.

  • The purpose of this study is to present the advanced plans to get the activation of the domestic furniture manufacture, considering the conditions of the furniture market and business environments before and after IMF Economic Crisis. These are necessary to get over some problems which result in reduction of demand, consumption, and investment under the recession. The furniture manufacture should take the occasion as a pertinent opportunity to strengthen the competitive edge and step up the exploration of the international markets. It is reasonable to conclude that the advanced plans should be designed, implemented, and expanded through the inducement of the government, manufacturers, and foreign investors.

  • This paper deals with the development of an expert process design system interfaced with CAD for porismatic parts in injection mold manufacture. The developed CAD/CAPP system consists of two modules such as CAD interface module and process design module. Parts are represented using AutoCAD system on the IBM PC/AT. CAD interface module recognizes form features and manufacturing features of the part using form feature recognition algorithm and manufacturing feature recognition rule base. Process design module selects operations and determines machine tools, cutting tools and operation sequencing by using knowledge base which is acquired from expert process planners. A case study is implemented to evaluate feasibilities of the function of the proposed system. The CAD/CAPP system can improve the efficiency of process design activities and reduce the time required for process design.

  • In this study, we analyzed about that after design form manufacture master pattern in Rapid Prototyping-RP through design program, processes to manufacture prototype using Vacuum Casting. In Rapid Prototyping-RP, there is an en-or by shrinkage of resin and, in Vacuum Casting, there is an error by shrinkage of silicon. To select condition which shrinkage become the minimum of each process, manufactured prototype after using Full Factorial Design of Design of Experiments, We could confirm shrinkage using reverse engineering and that result came into effect ANOVA 2-way. We applied errors of each process to master pattern, and then presented the method to improve flood control precision of prototype of Vacuum Casting.

  • Orchard sprayers, wide area dusters and multipurpose control cars are flagship products of Hansung T&I Ltd. Spray pumps are one of the essential parts for these products. But conventional belt pulleys for spray pumps are heavy and expensive, and they bring down the quality as well as productivity of the end-products. Therefore, this study focuses on mold design for aluminum die casting belt pulley and mold manufacture.
