소셜네트워크서비스(SNS)를 활용한 학교건축의 사용자 참여디자인 방법론 연구 (A Study on the User Participatory Design Methodology using Social Network Service for School Facilities)

  • The purpose of user participatory design is to project the images and demands of all the users of a school in person through their direct and active participation. Also, user participatory design is supposed to reduce the role of professionals who have led design to date and to expand the role of users and participants; thereby improving design quality in school construction. The study propose design realization methods using design camp courses and SNS based user participatory workshops. And The study propose on-offline based method and tool which are able to reflect diverse situations and purposes. Finally, the study proposed an application scenario for applying the above proposed methods efficiently in user participatory design. For the application scenario, the study proposed an SNS-based user participatory design method as the most appropriate for Korea.

  • The report of the Korean National Statistics Office shows that Korea has been emerging as an elderly society rapidly, and it will burden the Korean society with excessive social welfare cost for the aged in the near future. If we can help the aged to live healthy in some ways, the social burden for the health care of the aged will be lessened. In order to help physical and mental health of the elderly person, we have developed an exercise apparatus called intelligent arm wrestling machine system. This paper presents the mechanism and scenario of the proposed intelligent arm wrestling machine system. The proposed mechanism and scenario are peculiar. In particular, the proposed scenario determines randomly who will win between the man and the robot and generates a game process that the arm-wrestler cannot predict in advance.

Nanosat Formation Flying Design for SNIPE Mission

  • This study designs and analyzes satellite formation flying concepts for the Small scale magNetospheric and Ionospheric Plasma Experiments (SNIPE) mission, that will observe the near-Earth space environment using four nanosats. To meet the requirements to achieve the scientific objectives of the SNIPE mission, three formation flying concepts are analyzed: a cross-shape formation, a square-shape formation, and a cross-track formation. Of the three formation flying scenarios, the cross-track formation scenario is selected as the final scenario for the SNIPE mission. The result of this study suggests a relative orbit control scenario for formation maintenance and reconfiguration, and the initial relative orbits of the four nanosats meeting the formation requirements and thrust limitations of the SNIPE mission. The formation flying scenario is validated by calculating the accumulated total thrust required for the four nanosats. If the cross-track formation scenario presented in this study is applied to the SNIPE mission, it is expected that the mission will be successfully accomplished.

  • Determining the most likelihood earthquake scenario in one region is very important for performing an earthquake-resistant design. The most likelihood earthquake scenario can be selected by performing deaggregation, who classifies earthquakes that occur ground motion exceeding a specific acceleration as each distance and each earthquake magnitude. If earthquakes are classified, the most likelihood earthquake scenario can be selected. Earthquake hazard analysis method that have to be performed before deaggregation follows the method that Ministry of Construction & Transportation presented. As a result of performing deaggregation at longitude 127.35 and latitude 34.7, presentable seismic ground motion scenarios can be selected at each recurrence period.

  • Digital convergence 및 ubiquitous 환경이 보편화되면서 computer system이 대부분의 전자 제품에 삽입되고 있다. 제품의 인터페이스는 더욱 복잡해지고 있으며, 사용 방법 또한 어려워지고 있는 상황이다. 이 중 Auto PC는 대표적인 예로, 차량 운전 환경에서 네비게이션, 음악, 동영상, DMB, PC 등의 기능을 지원하는 복합 제품이다. 이러한 제품의 사용자 인터페이스 설계를 위해서는 제품을 사용하면서 일어나는 행동들과 이들의 흐름을 이해할 수 있는 시나리오 설계에 관한 연구가 필수적이다. 인간공학 및 HCI 분야에서는 사용자 인터페이스를 설계하고 평가할 수 있는 방법론 및 도구들이 많이 소개되고 있다. 또한 이러한 방법 및 도구들을 상황에 맞게 선택하고 종합하고자 하는 연구 역시 다양하게 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인간 중심 설계(human centered design) 방법론 중 대표적인 시나리오 기반 설계(SBD: Scenario-Based Design)과 직무분석(Task Analysis)을 이용하여 Auto PC의 인터페이스 설계에 적용해보았다. 시나리오 기반 설계와 직무분석 두 방법론을 통합할 수 있는 프로세스를 적용하였고, 그 결과 각 방법론의 단점을 서로 보완할 수 있었다. 추후 prototype을 완성하고 사용성 평가 및 만족도 조사를 통하여 설계된 인터페이스를 검증하는 연구가 진행될 예정이다.

  • Since there is currently no commercial protocol simulator for CDMA mobile communication system, we need to develop a General-Purposed Protocol Test Simulator (G-PTS). This paper is concerned with the design and implementation of this G-PTS contains the multi-scenario generating functions, multi-tasking kernel and multiple interface functions. Thus it can be utilized in the test category using multiple base-stations such as soft-handoff, 3-way handoff and mulit-party call features. G-PTS is verified using the model of CDMA soft handoff scenario and the result shows its reliable operations.

  • Despite various economic crises, the domestic parcel delivery market handled 3.37 billion parcels in 2020 while maintaining annual growth due to the activation of e-commerce. In particular, in the case of the metropolitan area, which accounts for about 70% of the nation's parcel throughput, the increase in parcel delivery volume is directly related to the increase in freight vehicles in central area of Seoul,. And it leads to an increase of unnecessary social and environmental costs such as traffic congestion, road damage, and environmental pollution in the city. Therefore, in this paper we proposed the underground urban logistics system utilizing the existing urban rail infrastructure, and establish a conceptual design by operational scenario. In order to establish conceptual design of underground urban logistics system, we use order picking system process, which is use in warehouse, produce result combined ISO/IEC 26702. The results of this study can be usefully used before the underground urban logistics system is introduced.

증강현실 시스템을 위한 시나리오 마크업 언어 설계 (Design of a Markup Language for Augmented Reality Systems)

  • 증강현실 시스템이 엔터테인먼트, 쇼핑, 교육 및 훈련 등의 영역에서 널리 사용되고 있으며, 증강현실 기술의 점차 중요성이 커지고 있다. 증강현실 기술을 교육이나 훈련에 사용할 때 동일한 마커에 대해서도 작업 단계에 따라 다른 가상 객체를 표현할 수 있어야 한다. 또한 훈련 내용은 상황에 따라 달라지기 때문에 훈련 시나리오를 이용해서 기술할 필요가 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 훈련 내용을 시나리오를 기반으로 작성할 수 있으며, 이를 증강현실 시스템과 연계할 수 있는 증강현실 시스템을 위한 시나리오 마크업 언어를 제안한다. 증강현실을 위한 시나리오 마크업 언어는 장면, 마커와 가상 객체를 연결하는 방법, 장비의 상태 혹은 센서 값을 파악하기 위한 방법, 조건에 따른 장면 이동 방법 등의 기능을 제공한다. 증강현실 시나리오 마크업 언어는 유연하게 증강현실 시스템의 사용 방법과 콘텐츠 사용의 유용성과 확장성을 높일 수 있다.

Scenario based optimization of a container vessel with respect to its projected operating conditions

  • In this paper the scenario based optimization of the bulbous bow of the KRISO Container Ship (KCS) is presented. The optimization of the parametrically modeled vessel is based on a statistically developed operational profile generated from noon-to-noon reports of a comparable 3600 TEU container vessel and specific development functions representing the growth of global economy during the vessels service time. In order to consider uncertainties, statistical fluctuations are added. An analysis of these data lead to a number of most probable upcoming operating conditions (OC) the vessel will stay in the future. According to their respective likeliness an objective function for the evaluation of the optimal design variant of the vessel is derived and implemented within the parametrical optimization workbench FRIENDSHIP Framework. In the following this evaluation is done with respect to vessel's calculated effective power based on the usage of potential flow code. The evaluation shows, that the usage of scenarios within the optimization process has a strong influence on the hull form.
