실내공간에서의 장소성 구현 요소에 관한 연구 -주거공간을 중심으로- (A Study on the Embodiment -Factors of the Sense of Place in Interior Space -Focused on residential environment)

  • Architectural works build with a modernistic viewpoint led to standardization and low of peculiarity , and which resulted in isolation of people from their environment. In that context, the sense of place can be a new paradigm replacing modernism and reflect the fundamental value and meaning of architecture. Interior space as a place can be analyzed from the viewpoint of existentialism. The purpose of this research is to define the concept of place based on C. N. Schulz's theory of space, and aims at embodiment of the sense of place in interior, especially residential , environment through applying emotional and psychological factors. Spatial characteristics that help to form and enhance the sense of place are center, axis and direction, and boundary and enclosure. Some psychological factors, in other words, people's psychological needs, affect the continuation of the sense of place, especially in residential environment where we reside comparatively for a long period and use the same place repeatedly , security, hierarchy/order, aesthetics, variety, and sociability. The sense of place is embodied and lasted mainly by personalization through the process of visualization , symbolization , and complementation of above mentioned properties and elements.

지하철 효율성 평가를 위한 DEA-AR/AHP 모형 설계 (DEA-AR/AHP Model Design for Efficiency Evaluation of Metropolitan Rapid Transit)

  • Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a methodology of computing the relative efficiency of each decision making unit (DMU) by comparing it with other DMUs having similar input and output structure. In this paper, we compare the efficiency of Korean rail transit corporations using DEA. To do this, we design a DEA-AR/AHP model, and evaluate efficiency by comparing the subway operating agencies of six big cities. The analysis reveals that Seoul Metro and Seoul city railroad construction turn out to be the most efficient groups. The result of this research can provide helpful information for effective management in a domestic subway operating agency.

Design of Fast Elliptic Curve Crypto module for Mobile Hand Communication

  • The more improved the Internet and the information technology, the stronger cryptographic system is required which can satisfy the information security on the platform of personal hand-held devices or smart card system. This paper introduces a case study of designing an elliptic curve cryptographic processor of a high performance that can be suitably used in a wireless communicating device or in an embedded system. To design an efficient cryptographic system, we first analyzed the operation hierarchy of the elliptic curve cryptographic system and then implemented the system by adopting a serial cell multiplier and modified Euclid divider. Simulation result shows that the system was correctly designed and it can compute thousands of operations per a second. The operating frequency used in simulation is about 66MHz and gate counts are approximately 229,284.

  • This study considered stools not just as a tool for sitting but with their symbolicity as well. Regarding the changes and meanings of general stools and X-stools, this paper studied their images and explanations as well as literatures by quoting as it limited their range from the ancient times till Neo-classicism. In conclusion, the origin of stools exists in consciousness and also the social hierarchy of authority. There still remain the elements of X in any way along with the functions. This proves that furniture has reason for existence even today not just for its functions but something beyond that. Along with the historic flow of X-stools, we should know that there is diversity of thinking in the area of stools. In understanding furniture design or furniture, now is the time to approach to it in various ways, and it is expected that new design can be born through that thinking.

  • An efficient sequential optimization approach for metamodel was presented by Choi et al [6]. This paper describes a new approach of the multilevel optimization method studied in Refs. [5] and [21-25]. The basic idea is concerned with multilevel iterative methods which combine a descent scheme with a hierarchy of auxiliary problems in lower dimensional subspaces. After fitting a metamodel based on an initial space filling design, this model is sequentially refined by the expected improvement criterion. The advantages of the method are that it does not require optimum sensitivities, nonlinear equality constraints are not needed, and the method is relatively easy to understand and use. As a check on effectiveness, the proposed method is applied to a classical cantilever beam.

  • 성서의 내용 중에서 청소년들에게 선교용으로 알맞은 성구를 택하여 그 요지를 효과적으로 전달하기 위한 디자인 적 차원에서의 방법을 연구한다. 특히 인물 또는 주제의 표정, 의상, 동작의 reality 와 배경, 환경의 reality를 시대를 다르게 처리함으로써 classic과 contemporary한 것의 조화, 즉 과거 속의 현재, 현재에서의 과거를 초현실적 스타일로 강조하며 성구는 일러스트레이션과 한눈에 들어올 수 있도록 연결 감 있게 배치하여 단독매체로서의 포스터, 카드 등에 적용 가능한 사례를 개발함으로써 선교의 기능을 띤 성화와 성구를 함께 사용한 새로운 스타일의 일러스트레이션을 개발한다.

  • A real-time operating system has focused primary on techniques to minimize processing time, with a secondary emphasis on system reliability issues. Conversely, fault-tolerant system has concentrated on using recourse and information redundancy to maximize the availability and reliability of the system, with a lesser emphasis on performance. We have developed a fault-tolerant and real-time operations system which support a powerful concurrent runtime environment under the above requirements. In this paper, we present an overview of real-time systems, design and implementation of a duplex architecture using advanced concepts and technologies such as fast " fault detection", "fault isolation" and "fault recovery" Because the duplex architecture has two dentical hardware elements and has several recovery steps and hierarchy to facilitate a fast recovery which must be proceeded by a prompt fault detection and isolation. Thus it makes possible to minimize the overhead of the systems including hardware and software and guarantee the service continuity of he systems.

  • The work reported in this paper identifies the thermal-hydraulic phenomena that are expected to occur during a number of key transients in SMART(System-integrated Modular Advanced ReacTor) which is under development at KAERI. The result of this effort is based on the current design concept of SMART integral reactor. Although the design is still evolving, the preliminary phenomena Identification and Ranking Table(PIRT) has been developed based on the experts' knowledge and experience. The preliminary PIRT has been developed by consensus of KAERI expert panelists and AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process). Preliminary PIRT developed in this paper is intended to be used to identify and integrate development areas of further experimental tests needed, thermal hydraulic models and correlations and code improvements for the safety analysis of the SMART.

  • Changing of paradigm at 21Century is changing a part of routine lives and it affects speculation system of recognizing the world. In this society, human is demanded changing of a part and new learning continuously. Like this, a role of individual and a part of various lives by changing of social environment have a close connection each other. In this society, they would need new circumstance of space by method of work. However, what show not necessity improving of work space but changing is the realities of our society. This thesis examine non-territorialization characteristics by focusing on the openness, composition, and flexibility. The working space on 21c head for a non-territorialization and be summarize. decenterial arrangement, increasing of public space and unification of personal work-station. The purpose of this study is to examine the non-territorialization by analysis of 21c working space.

높이 맵의 효율적인 뷰 의존적 표현 (Efficient View-dependent Refinement of a Height Map)

  • This paper proposes a procedure enabling the extraction of view-dependent triangular approximations from a height map. In general, procedures to approximate a height map use tree hierarchies. These methods, however, have a limitation in terms of accuracy, because they depend on tree hierarchy than terrain features. To overcome the difficult, we apply the simplification method for triangular meshes to a height map. The proposed procedure maintains full decimation procedure to support multiresolution. The maintenance of decimation procedure results in creation of the groups (trees), each of which consists of vertices that can be merged into one vertex (root node). As the groups have tolerance which is determined by some tests, they support the generation of view-dependent arbitrary triangular meshes.
