기계설계 과정의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 혼합 기법 응용: 사례연구 (Application of the Combined Techniques for Reliability Improvement on Machine Design Process: Case Study)

  • In the mechanical design process various types of errors are bound to occur. In order to prevent such mechanical malfunctions and decrease number of instances of errors, various technique are utilized. The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the combined service Blueprint and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) by applying such method to machine process. The results are as follows: First, modification can be obtained by discovering the failure mode hidden within the inner side of the blueprint. Second, issues within the company are found when conducting the machine design process that is not visible from the outside. Therefore, potential errors can be effectively resolved by preventing failure mode in advance and eventually high quality of the product could be obtained as well as its reliability.

  • 본 논문은 철도신호 내장형제어기의 정지결함검출을 위해 적용되는 워치독타이머 설계와 관련하여 FMEA와 FTA를 통해 타이머 결함발생을 시스템이 인식하지 못하는 은폐고장(Hidden Failure)의 심각성을 제시한다. 은폐고장은 결함허용을 목적으로 추가된 소자의 결함발생으로 인한 시스템의 신뢰성 및 안전성의 저하이다. 이러한 은폐고장으로 인해 안전무결성레벨이 저하된 상태로 시스템이 운용되는 젓을 방지하기 위해 본 논문에서는 바이탈워치독타이머를 설계하고, 결함발생에 대한 회로의 안전성을 평가하여 기존 설계로 인한 안전성저하 문제가 보완되었음을 입증한다.

  • Purpose: It can deduce improvement plan that recognizes any risk factors in initial production and mass production by using FMEA and through this process, the appropriate criteria for defence items can be established. Methods: It proposes two methodology - Apply DT/OT data achieved from the beginning mass production stage based on FMECA data of the design stage, to risk management, and risk management plan that reflected line and field faliure data in case of is offered. Results: It proposes the risk management plan through Bayesian method and the risk identification that considered MTTF estimated value in case of initial production process. In case of mass production process, both risk identification by using fault occurrence frequency scores and Byaesian method, In case of the Initial production and mass production, it proposes use both two methods. Conclusion: A more realistic risk identification method can be applied, and by this method the quality improvement effect is expected.

  • 최근 10여년 사이에 여러 국가의 많은 기업들이 ISO 9000 인증을 획득하였고 특정 분야에서는 ISO 9000에 고객에 의해 특별히 요구되는 내용을 추가하여 인증이 이루어지고 있는데 특히 자동차 분야의 QS 9000과 ISO/TS 16949가 그 예가 될 수 있겠다. 따라서 인증의 근간이 되는 규격인 ISO 9000을 비롯하여 QS 9000과 ISO/TS 16949에서 요구되는 내용이 매우 중요시된다고 할 수 있으며 또한 그 중에서도 제품의 설계 및 제조과정에서 언급되고 있는 설계 FMEA나 공정 FMEA 및 게이지 R&R과 같은 신뢰성과 관련된 내용들은 특히 중요한 요소라고 할 수 있겠다. 이에 본 연구에서는 각 시스템에 있어 신뢰성 관련 내용을 검토, 분석함으로써 각 시스템에서 신뢰성 요구 사항들이 어떻게 규정되어 있는지를 비교, 분석하고 그 적용 사례를 통하여 합리적 적용 방법들을 제시하였다. 또한 자동차 분야 외에도 이와 같은 신뢰성과 관련하여 요구되는 사항들이 많이 있을 수 있겠으나 이에 대해서는 추후 연구, 검토를 계속해 나갈 예정이다.

Development of ISO 26262 based Requirements Analysis and Verification Method for Efficient Development of Vehicle Software

  • With the development of autonomous driving technology, as the use of software in vehicles increases, the complexity of the system increases and the difficulty of development increases. Developments that meet ISO 26262 must be carried out to reduce the malfunctions that may occur in vehicles where the system is becoming more complex. ISO 26262 for the functional safety of the vehicle industry proposes to consider functional safety from the design stage to all stages of development. Specifically at the software level, the requirements to be complied with during development and the requirements to be complied with during verification are defined. However, it is not clearly expressed about specific design methods or development methods, and it is necessary to supplement development guidelines. The importance of analysis and verification of requirements is increasing due to the development of technology and the increase of system complexity. The vehicle industry must carry out developments that meet functional safety requirements while carrying out various development activities. We propose a process that reflects the perspective of system engineering to meet the smooth application and developmentrequirements of ISO 26262. In addition, the safety analysis/verification FMEA processforthe safety of the proposed ISO 26262 function was conducted based on the FCAS (Forward Collision Avoidance Assist System) function applied to autonomous vehicles and the results were confirmed. 오류유형 영향분석(FMEA)을 적용한 수술준비 위험예방활동의 효과 (A Study on Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) for Preoperative Risk Prevention)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research was to provide patients with safe preoperative preparatory procedures by removing any risk factors from the preparatory procedures by using failure mode and effects analysis, which is a prospective risk-managing tool. Methods: This was a research design in which before and after conditions of a single group were studied, Failure mode and effects analysis were applied for the preparatory procedures done before operations. Results: The preparation omission rate before the operation decreased from 2.70% to 0.04%, and operation cancellation rate decreased from 0.48% to 0.08%. Conclusion: Failure mode and effects analysis which remove any risk factors for patients in advance of the operation is effective in preventing any negligent accidents.

  • Hot Standby sparing system detecting faults by using software, and being tolerant any faults by using Hardware Redundancy is difficult to perform quantitative reliability prediction and to detect real time faults. Therefore, this paper designs Hot Standby sparing system using hardware basis self checking logic in order to overcome this problem. It also performs failure mode analysis of Hot Standby sparing system with designed self checking logic by using FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis), and identifies reliability assessment of the controller designed by quantifying the numbers of failure development by using FTA (Fault Tree Analysis)

  • Recently RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) technology advances in wireless communication technologies are bringing new challenges. But RFID tag packaging technology has been lagging compared to the demand, so this technology is being required to improve productivity and reliability. This study is performed on FMEA, reliability at development level and analysis failure mode through environment and mechanical test. Robust design is applied to search the optimized condition of factor and RFID tag packaging should be satisfied with high MTTF.

  • 본 논문은 안전 무결성 레벨이 4(: Safety Integrity Level 4)인 안전 관련 시스템에 적합한 출력 모듈의 구조를 설계하였고, 설계된 출력 모듈에 요구되는 정량적 목표치의 수준을 제시하였다. 특히 다양한 출력 방식 중에서 릴레이 출력 신호와 아날로그 신호로 구성된 출력 모듈이 안전 기능을 수행하는 시스템의 구성 요소인 경우를 적용하였다. 분석 방법은 FMEA(: Failure Modes and Effect Analysis), FTA(: Fault Tree Analysis) 방식을 이용하였다. 그 결과로 철도 응용 규격인 IEC 62425의 요구사항을 준수하는 SIL4 안전 관련 시스템의 출력 모듈의 구조와 고장빈도인 정량적 목표치를 제시하였다.

원자력 발전소 주제어실 인터페이스 설계를 위한 인적오류 분석 기법의 보완 (A Modification of Human Error Analysis Technique for Designing Man-Machine Interface in Nuclear Power Plants)

  • This study describes a modification of the technique for human error analysis in nuclear power plants (NPPs) which adopts advanced Man-Machine Interface (MMI) features based on computerized working environment, such as LCOs. Flat Panels. Large Wall Board, and computerized procedures. Firstly, the state of the art on human error analysis methods and efforts were briefly reviewed. Human error analysis method applied to NPP design has been THERP and ASEP mainly utilizing Swain's HRA handbook, which has not been facilitated enough to put the varied characteristics of MMI into HRA process. The basic concepts on human errors and the system safety approach were revisited, and adopted the process of FMEA with the new definition of Error Segment (ESJ. A modified human error analysis process was suggested. Then, the suggested method was applied to the failure of manual pump actuation through LCD touch screen in loss of feed water event in order to verify the applicability of the proposed method in practices. The example showed that the method become more facilitated to consider the concerns of the introduction of advanced MMI devices, and to integrate human error analysis process not only into HRA/PRA but also into the MMI and interface design. Finally, the possible extensions and further efforts required to obtain the applicability of the suggested method were discussed.
