This study describes behavioral characteristics of Korean population over twenty years old in a variety of activities of daily living by analyzing the raw data of the time use survey provided by Statistics Korea (KOSTAT). Seven activities and forty four sub-activities of daily living were selected for analysis : personal care, employment, household care, family care, voluntary work and community participation, social life, recreation and leisure, and travel. In order to quantitatively understand how Korean adults spend their time for a day and how their lifestyle changes over time, we collected the time recorded by 3,673 respondents in three surveys over the past ten years (in 1999, 2004, and 2009). Then, we performed analysis of variance to compare the behavioral characteristics by user age and gender based on the mean time of each activity. The differences in behavior among user groups and over time could be used to design ergonomic products and services based on user experience, especially for universal design of housing and transportation facilities.

Government has propelled strongly the Agricultural - cum - Industrial region development project in the nation wide. This project will not only provide employment opportunity for rural inhabitants, but also be designed to activate the rural economy. In addition, it will lead to a balanced development between the urban and rural areas. Under this project, building sites of 3 to 30 hactres will be established in the rural area in order to settle factories which are suitable to the rural condition. In this report, the researches which relating to the achievement conditions of planning, design and constructions of the building sites and the contribution conditions of Agri. - cum - Industrial Region development projects, activated to the rural economy and regional development in the Kyungpook regional areas, were surveyed and studied. On the average evaluation studies the results are as follows : 1. The achievement conditions of the planning, design and construction of the building sites. Shu-gyo-ryoku, a program to enhance students' academic and career skills, was begun in the academic year 2011. Under the new program, "Career Planning" and "Career Design" were introduced as part of the liberal arts education for incoming freshmen. Approximately 500 students majoring in engineering enrolled in "Career Planning" in which they study a "curriculum map" and how it relates to their future fields of employment. The curriculum map illustrates the connections between classes and increases students'understanding of the curriculum structure. In small groups, students discussed the curriculum in order to develop sketches of their career paths. In addition, students answered a career anchor test and though several communicative activities, improved their communication skills. A portfolio system was built into the university network to record the learning history of each student. Students are able to check their learning histories and reflect on the change in themselves during their academic careers.

Purpose - While sustainability is based on the argument that the world's resources are finite and their demand will ultimately surpass supply, entrepreneurship on the other hand argues that there are inherent opportunities to address this through conserving, recycling, switching to more renewable resources and making effective use of available finite resources. Research design, data, and methodology - In response to the lack of scientific information on the outcomes of entrepreneurship in rural Nigeria, this paper surveys the benefits (social, economic and environmental) of women engagement in waste plastic bags recycling in Adamawa State of Nigeria. A descriptive research design was adopted and data was collected from 26 respondents with the use of a semi-structured questionnaire, which was analyzed using descriptive statistics and presented in frequency tables. Results - Results indicated that 21 women have gained employment, who would have remained unemployed; 80.8% of who make profits below 10000 Naira per month and collectively, they recycle 179.3kg of waste polythene bag per month. Conclusions - It was recommended that the women should be further their education; adequate records of costs and sales should be kept; and savings should be encouraged among them.

Because of new requirements related to the employment of SMT(Surface Mounting Technology) manufacturing and the diversity of components on high density PCB(Printed Circuit Boards), Thermal control of the reflow process is required in order to achieve acceptable yields and reliability of SMT assemblies. Accurate control of the temperature distribution during the reflow process is one of the major requirements, especially in lead-free assembly. This study has been performed for reflow process using the commercial CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) tool for predicting flow and temperature distributions. Porous plate was installed to prevent leakage flow which was one of the major problem of temperature uniformity in the reflow process. There is a separation region where the flow is turned. Outside wall made of porous plate is to prevent and minimize separation region for acquiring uniform temperature during operation. This paper provided design concept from CFD results of the steady state temperature distribution and flow field inside a reflow oven.

Japanism represents a Japanese sense presented in Collections by many world-class western designers who are inspired by Japanese Kimonos. This study analyzes how the traditional Japanese costumes were applied to the modern clothing and the mix and match style appeared at the Japanism fashion based on the Fashion Collections during the three years from the spring of 2006 to the winter of 2008. The analysis was performed based on preceding studies, literature, fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and the Collections during the three years. The results of this study on Japanism covers: the application of Kimono design, Kimono sleeves, Kimono neck line to coats, jackets, one-pieces, and blouses; the application of traditional geometrical patterns, flower patterns, and natural patterns. These patterns were presented by print, dyeing, and embroidery; lastly, the employment, utilization, function, and adjustment of Obi(belt) to Japanese style clothing and also to modern clothing. Japanism fashion presented sportism, feminism, and eroticism by using mix and match. This analysis can contribute to the application of the ethnic clothing to modern clothing.

The portfolios of students are archives where the studies of the students are recorded during the dates attended and very important data for the employment and the self-management. In the past, the portfolios are written on the papers and managed. However, the papers are easy to be lost and damaged. In this paper, we propose the design of portfolio framework to store and manage the data of portfolio efficiently. The proposed framework is capable of storing and managing students's portfolios using wired or wireless networks. The industries and professors are also easy to search appropriate talented students according to the requirements using the proposed framework.

In the cases of the major cities, high poverty rate of the elderly, immature pension policies, and insufficient market conditions, policies and services for the employment of the elderly decrease the desire for the job participation. It is time to prevent the problems of the elderly, and induce the reachable seniors to participate in social activities. This research provides the location-based, customized job-search service for the elderly in order to actively support the participation in the economic activities of the elderly. The goal of SSJS(Smart Senior Job Search) is to provide the individual elderly with the customized position. It prints the appropriate positions near user location based on the residential area, job classification, and the physical condition, and provides the mash-up of the selectable job range in the unit distance based on the map. This customized service, which enables the seniors to select the type of the jobs based on their physical, mental and life conditions of the seniors, supports the participation in economic activities of the elderly people, and contribute to the expansion of the social job positions for the elderly and the equalization of the local development.

Steel plate shear walls (SPSWs) have been shown to be efficient lateral force-resisting systems, which are increasingly used in new and retrofit construction. These structural systems are designed with either stiffened and stocky or unstiffened and slender web plates based on disparate structural and economical considerations. Based on some limited reported studies, on the other hand, employment of low yield point (LYP) steel infill plates with extremely low yield strength, and high ductility as well as elongation properties is found to facilitate the design and improve the structural behavior and seismic performance of the SPSW systems. On this basis, this paper reports system-level investigations on the seismic response assessment of multi-story SPSW frames under the action of earthquake ground motions. The effectiveness of the strip model in representing the behaviors of SPSWs with different buckling and yielding properties is primarily verified. Subsequently, the structural and seismic performances of several code-designed and retrofitted SPSW frames with conventional and LYP steel infill plates are investigated through detailed modal and nonlinear time-history analyses. Evaluation of various seismic response parameters including drift, acceleration, base shear and moment, column axial load, and web-plate ductility demands, demonstrates the capabilities of SPSW systems in improving the seismic performance of structures and reveals various advantages of use of LYP steel material in seismic design and retrofit of SPSW systems, in particular, application of LYP steel infill plates of double thickness in seismic retrofit of conventional steel and code-designed SPSW frames.

The goal of the construction work in the past was to improve the efficiency through cost reduction and shortening the construction period. However, the importance of safety management has recently been emphasized, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor has set a goal of reducing the number of deaths caused by industrial accidents by half. As a result, institutional and legal improvements are pursued and the need for safety is emphasized. However, most construction companies, except for some large construction companies, are lacking in safety management. So, In this paper, we design and implement a safety management system for construction site using smart helmets and beacons.
