Deep UV 마이크로 리소그라피를 위한 새로운 4-반사경 광학계에 관한 수차해석

  • A design of four-mirror optical system with reduction magnification 5X for deep UV ($\lambda$=248 nm of KrF excimer laser) submicron lithography is presented. Initially by using the paraxial quantities, the domain of solution for $t=d_1+d_2+d_3$<0 (d;: distance between the mirror $c_i$ and $c_{i+1}$ is found for the system which is free from the four off-axial Seidel first order aberrations that are coma, astigmatism, field curvature, and distortion. The solution with $d_5$=2.95 (normalized with respect to $c_i$= -1) is choosen and the aspherization is carried out to the spherical mirror surfaces ($c_3$ and $c_4$ in order to reduce the axial and residual off-axial higher order aberrations. The numerical aperture of the final system is as large as 0.4, which gives Rayleigh resolution of 0.38 $\mu\textrm{m}$.

Studies on the influence factors of wind dynamic responses on hyperbolic cooling tower shells

  • Wind induced dynamic responses on hyperbolic cooling tower (HCT) shells are complicated functions of structure and wind properties, such as the fundamental frequency fmin, damping ratio ζ, wind velocity V, correlationship in meridian direction and so on, but comprehensions on the sensitivities of the dynamic responses to these four factors are still limited and disagree from each other. Following the dynamic calculation in time domain, features of dynamic effects were elaborated, focusing on the background and resonant components σB and σR, and their contributions to the total rms value σT. The σR is always less than σB when only the maximum σT along latitude is concerned and the contribution of σR to σT varies with responses and locations, but the σR couldn't be neglected for structural design. Then, parameters of the above four factors were artificially adjusted respectively and their influences on the gust responses were illustrated. The relationships of σR and the former three factors were expressed by fitted equations which shows certain differences from the existing equations. Moreover, a new strategy for wind tunnel tests aiming at surface pressures and the following dynamic calculations, which demands less experiment equipment, was proposed according to the influence from meridian correlationship.

  • As the economic power is improved and the customer's demand is hard to please, the noise and vibration is the most important yardstick that can determine the quality of the product. Especially, as the airconditioner's demand increase suddenly, the product of quality and the noise is becoming a decisive factor of determining whether purchase the product or not. Therefore, every manufactory is investing a lot of money and research to cut down the unpleasantness induced from noise and vibration. And they are emphasizing their product's difference by advertising a silence very actively. With these reason, the demand of a silent indoor air-conditioner is the essential research filed when the product is develop(:d. In this study, the noise and vibration is visualized in the space and frequency domain by using experimental methods such as operational deflection shape (ODS), modal testing and sound intensity. Also the location of noise source and its characteristic is analyzed in an acoustical point of view to reduce the structure borne noise that come from the fan motor, and the pertinent control method is suggested. Furthermore, the most suitable shape of the motor bracket is suggested by applying FEM and DOE (Design of experiments) in the noise and vibration point a view.

Efficient Intra Predictor Design for H.264/AVC Decoder (H.264/AVC 복호기를 위한 효율적인 인트라 예측기 설계)

  • H.264/AVC is a video coding standard of ITU-T and ISO/IEC, and widely spreads its application due to its high compression ratio more than twice that of MPEG-2 and high image quality. In this paper, we explained Intra Prediction in H.264/AVC, which is able to achieve higher compressing efficiency from correlation removal of adjacent samples in spatial domain, and proposed efficient Intra Predictor architecture design for H.264/AVC decoder. The proposed system reduced computation cycle using processing element and precomputation processing element and also reduced the number of access to external memory using efficient register. We designed the proposed system with Verilog-HDL and verified with suitable test vector. The proposed Intra Predictor achieved about 60% cycle reduction comparing with existing Intra Predictors.

  • The IISS(Integrated Interface Storage System) software performs the function of transmitting tactical domain messages of Combat Management System for interface analysis of Naval Combat System. The source code is relatively large because the IISS software handles most messages. The modifications of source code of the IISS software occur frequently due to changes in interconnected equipment and messages. Therefore, additional effort and cost are required during the development process. In this paper, we studied standardization of the IISS software to improve reusability. Through the feature model, the components of the IISS software were divided by function and modification elements were separated. And the structure of the IISS software was improved by applying design patterns. As a result, it was possible to minimize modifications of the IISS software by changes in interconnected equipment and messages and a reduction in development costs could be expected.

A Design of AXI hybrid on-chip Bus Architecture for the Interconnection of MPSoC (MPSoC 인터커넥션을 위한 AXI 하이브리드 온-칩 버스구조 설계)

  • In this paper, we presents a hybrid on-chip bus architecture based on the AMBA 3.0 AXI protocol for MPSoC with high performance and low power. Among AXI channels, data channels with a lot of traffic are designed by crossbar-switch architecture for massively parallel processing. On the other hand, addressing and write-response channels having a few of traffic is handled by shared-bus architecture due to the overheads of (areas, interconnection wires and power consumption) reduction. In experiments, the comparisons are carried out in terms of time, space and power domains for the verification of proposed hybrid on-chip bus architecture. For $16{\times}16$ bus configuration, the hybrid on-chip bus architecture has almost similar performance in time domain with respect to crossbar on-chip bus architecture, as the masters's latency is differenced about 9% and the total execution time is only about 4%. Furthermore, the hybrid on-chip bus architecture is very effective on the overhead reduction, such as it reduced about 47% of areas, and about 52% of interconnection wires, as well as about 66% of dynamic power consumption. Thus, the presented hybrid on-chip bus architecture is shown to be very effective for the MPSoC interconnection design aiming at high performance and low power.

Turret location impact on global performance of a thruster-assisted turret-moored FPSO

  • The change of the global performance of a turret-moored FPSO (Floating Production Storage Offloading) with DP (Dynamic Positioning) control is simulated, analyzed, and compared for two different internal turret location cases; bow and midship. Both collinear and non-collinear 100-yr GOM (Gulf of Mexico) storm environments and three cases (mooring-only, with DP position control, with DP position+heading control) are considered. The horizontal trajectory, 6DOF (degree of freedom) motions, fairlead mooring and riser tension, and fuel consumptions are compared. The PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) controller based on LQR (linear quadratic regulator) theory and the thrust-allocation algorithm which is based on the penalty optimization theory are implemented in the fully-coupled time-domain hull-mooring-riser-DP simulation program. Both in collinear and non-collinear 100-yr WWC (wind-wave-current) environments, the advantage of mid-ship turret is demonstrated by the significant reduction in heave at the turret location due to the minimal coupling with pitch mode, which is beneficial to mooring and riser design. However, in the non-collinear WWC environment, the mid-turret case exhibits unfavorable weathervaning characteristics, which can be reduced by employing DP position and heading controls as demonstrated in the present case studies. The present study also reveals the plausible cause of the failure of mid-turret Gryphon Alpha FPSO in milder environment than its survival condition.

Non-linear Shimmy Analysis of a Nose Landing Gear with Friction (마찰을 고려한 노즈 랜딩기어의 비선형 쉬미 해석)

  • Shimmy is a self-excited vibration in lateral and torsional directions of a landing gear during either the take-off or landing. It is caused by a couple of conditions such as a low torsional stiffness of the strut, a free-play in the landing gear, a wheel imbalance, or worn parts, and it may make the aircraft unstable. This study was performed for an analysis of the shimmy stability on a small aircraft. A nose landing gear was modeled as a linear system and characterized by state-equations which were used to analyze the stability both in the frequency and time-domain for predicting whether the shimmy occurs and investigating a good design range of the important parameters. The root-locus method and the 4th Runge-Kutta method were used for each analysis. Because the present system has a simple mechanism using a friction to reinforce the stability, the friction, a non-linear factor, was linearized by a describing function and considered in the analysis and observed the result of the instability reduction.

An Assessment of Structure Safety for Basic Insulation Panel of KC-1 LNG Cargo Containment system under Sloshing Load (슬로싱 하중을 받는 한국형 LNG선 화물창(KC-1)의 보냉 판넬에 대한 구조 안전성 평가)

  • The purpose of the development of KC-1 LNG cargo containment system is reduction in royalty and increase in competitiveness of shipbuilding industry. An assessment of structure safety for LNG cargo containment system under sloshing load due to ship motion has become an important design element. The ideal way is to implement fully interaction of the fluid domain and the cargo containment system. However the irregular sloshing pressure were idealized in the form of a triangular wave for safety assessment because the fluid- structure interaction analysis is taken the extensive computation time and difficult to ensure the accuracy of the results. In this study, the sloshing load was assumed to be a triangular wave with a maximum pressure of 10 bar during 15/1000 seconds. In the analytic results, the basic insulation panel of KC-1 LNG cargo containment system was assessed to be structurally safe for sloshing load.

Design of Uplink Initial Ranging Algorithm for Large-Cell Coverage Fixed Wireless Communication System (광범위 고정형 무선 통신 시스템을 위한 상향 링크 초기 레인징 기법 설계)

  • In this paper, an enhanced initial ranging algorithm for large-cell coverage fixed wireless communication system is proposed. In typical wireless communication system such as WiBro, because a round-trip delay between a transmitter and a receiver is within one OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) symbol duration, a frequency-domain differential correlation method is generally used. However, the conventional method cannot be applied due to an increase of a maximum time delay in large-cell system. In case of an accumulative differential method, estimation errors can occur because of frequent sign transitions. In this paper, therefore, we propose an algorithm which can estimate a total timing offset in a ranging channel structure for 15 km cell. The proposed method can improve performance by sign comparison based sign error correction rule between the estimated values and using a weighting scheme based on channel correlation, the number of accumulations, and the noise reduction effect in normalization process. Also, it can estimate the integer timing offset of symbol duration by comparing peak-powers after compensating for the fractional timing offset of symbol duration.
