We developed the module of the software that robot designers can perform their work faster and more easily. The parametric modeler is founded on the virtual robot design program. The virtual robot design program is the powerful software which may be used to solve various problems of robot kinematics and dynamics. The parametric modeler in the software we developed is that all the positions of joints and links are changed automatically when the designer changes one joint or one link in the robot system. Without parametric method, robot-designers must change all the positions of connected joints and links. It might become time-consuming. However, it is very efficient for designers to use the method of batch-processing in performing design-changes of robot-links using the parametric modeler.

Seismic design of reinforced concrete flat plate structures is often complicated as it deals with three dimensionality and continuous spans, and mostly material complexity and reinforcement variation. A great degree of uncertainty in such structural and material properties is thus inherent in the RC flat plate systems, and hinders simplification of the design process in terms of slab flexure, unbalanced moment transfer at a slab-column connection, and punching shear. For these reasons, there have been substantial changes and updates in building codes relating to flat plates and slab-column connections over a handful of decades. Also, for the same reason, some of codes never have been revised. As a consequence of nonsimultaneous development of each provision, it tends to confuse structural engineers when using a mixture of all different US code provisions. In this paper, in the step-by-step logical order, seismic design of the RC flat plate systems is re-organized and clarified to make it easier to apply. Furthermore, recent changes or proposed changes are introduced, and are explained as to how it will apply in practice.

Modern society is indefinable and constantly changes like nature changes. It uses design to create new experiments and trend within social environment and culture. In the history of interior architecture and postmodernism, the Italian design movement of Archizoom, Studio Alchimia and Memphis are very important, and Andrea Branzi was the central figure of this design movement. His experimental and defiant works throughout this design movement produced design with combination, indefiniteness, sustentation, and reiteration. Designers must recreate themselves continually and need to have constant experimental spirit and attempts. From this point of view, the study on Andrea Branzi who led Italian design revolution with various experiments and attempts is valuable, and it will help to find the direction of design in this modern social and cultural environment.

By introducing Mondrian's creative world into the field of fashion design, I examined how its application can satisfy not only visual expressions but also the desire of fashion design for its simplicity, individuality, and sensitivity. As a program developing designs and guiding how to produce, the textile CAD system helps to develop a variety of textile systems. In case of dying or textile printing, a variety of free expressions of print patterns and functional color simulations are possible by the configuration of colors or enlargement of design. It can also confirm the flexible simulation with a variety of color changes through the monitor by treating the knit design with dots. Especially in case of consulting for the design with ordering customers, the system is very speedy and effective, because it is possible to correct on the spot those complicated elements of designs and color sensation and see the prints in the light of marketing, processing and artistic value. Mondrian's Art, beauty of balance and proportion in the Mondrian's plastic forms, the changes of coloring and texture were added into vertical and horizontal lines and the divisions of faces for the dressmaking. Whether they were the reciprocal action of human body, texture and color or the reciprocal action of human body and colors, these changes will be interpreted differently, depending on the individuals' experiences and psychological moods of situations. The emphases of the sense are also different, depending on the activity and functionality.

Objective: This study is to develop a design and evaluation guide to the ergonomic design of the farm working convenient equipments in order for the elderly to use them easily and safely. Background: The aging population has already increased in farm villages. But due to the usage of the farm working equipments that did not reflect the characteristics and functional changes of aging, accidents and patients with disease are increasing. Method: The study investigated the functional changes and physical, cognitive, and sensuous characteristics of the aged. By determining the criteria for classification of the convenient equipments by crop, and by finding out the items necessary for the ergonomic design, a guide to this study is proposed. Results: It is obvious that the physical, cognitive and sensuous functions change as the aging process continues. Therefore, for the design and evaluation of Control Panel, Control Lever, Frame Size, Shape, and Equipment Weight that are the necessary items for the ergonomic approach for the farm working equipments, such characteristics have to be reflected. Conclusion: Through this study, a guide to the design and evaluation of convenient equipments for the farm works that reflected the aging characteristics and functional changes has been proposed. Application: The result of this study is to expect not only designers but also related specialists to make the best use of it.

Fashion reflects various cultures, including the spirit and the lifestyle of the period. South Korea has experienced rapid social changes, including the Korean War, industrial development, and the inflow of Western influence. Modern Korean fashion has developed along with these changes. Acceptance of suits and the reformism of the Hanbok are the two notable changes in Korean fashion. Gyungja Choi, and her fashion show, is known for combining modern fashion and traditional beauty by entwining traditional Korean fashion design elements into modern fashion. This research investigated Gyungja Choi as a fashion designer, a fashion education executive who cultivated fashion designers through the education business, and a fashion publisher who published the first professional costume magazine. This research classified the Korean-style design elements in Gyungja Choi's fashion show by analyzing the clothes exhibited in her fashion shows. In conclusion, Choi's design utilized Korean-style fashion design elements, such as line, colors, patterns, and materials. Which can be said to be the introduction period that expressed Korean style image in fashion considering the period.

The purposes of this study are to consider characteristics of 'movement expression' that are not discovered in preceeding design studies in order to suggest 'movement expression' as a design formative principal and to make clothes which follows this idea. For the method of this study I used various literature about 'movement expression' as theoretical background and analyzed modern clothing in which 'movement expression' is expressed by collecting magazines including foreign collections from 1989 to 2004 and searching the internet. The results obtained from this study is as follows. First, clothing in which 'movement expression' is expressed removes monotony and tedium of clothing design, provides visual interest and satisfaction for clothing, and delivers designers' concept effectively by attracting a gaze quickly. And It is suggested a new division of 'movement expression' through analysis of the 'movement expression' expressed in clothing. It included the intentional movement by wearers, which is the 'movement expression' of broader meaning such as changes of form or position by a certain operation and changes of existence or function. This movement is not fixed and repeated but changes continuously. As a result of including the design expressing the intentional movement by wearers, one's own personality can be expressed more effectively. It is presented a design which has changeable movement expression continuously.

본 연구는 반복되는 중간단계의 구조설계과정에 연동되는 근사 재해석 모델을 비교 평가하고, 특히 설계변수가 크게 변화할 때도 일정한 정확도를 유지하여 전체 설계과정에 효율성과 신뢰성을 함께 줄 수 있는 안정된 모델을 찾는다. 이를 위해 대형 프레임구조를 대상으로 설계변수 그룹의 갯수와 변화량을 달리하면서 최대 변위값을 정해와 비교하여 정확도 및 신뢰성을 검토하고, CPU 연산시간 비교를 통해 효율성을 시험한다. 예제를 통하여 부분근사화는 가장 간편하고 빠르기는 하나 설계의 면화가 극히 적은 특정한 경우에만 유용한 반면 전역근사화는 기저벡터를 효과적으로 취할 경우 설계 변화량이 클 때에도 비교적 높은 정확도를 유지하나 효율성이 떨어지는 취약점을 갖고 있다. 이들에 비해 전역-부분근사화는 어느 경우에나 높은 정확성과 효율성을 아울러 갖추고 있음을 보여준다. 이 방법들을 구조 재설계 과정에 연계할 때 설계정보에 따라 혼용하므로써 효율성을 증대시킬 수 있다.

웹의 활용과 기술의 발전으로 웹 디자인 영역은 점차 확대되어 가고 있지만, 관련 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 이에 웹 디자인의 변천 과정을 연구함으로써 웹 디자인 시장의 중요성을 인식하고, 향후 디자인 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 디자인의 표현기법 발현과 진화 배경과 디자인에 영향을 주는 정보기술의 흐름을 고찰하고, 이를 바탕으로 웹 디자인 변천 과정 분석 연구를 수행하였다. 이는 앞으로의 웹 디자인 영역 확장을 위한 기초 연구 자료로서 의의가 있다고 판단된다. 연구 범위로는 웹의 역사 30년을 기준으로 1990년부터 2000년대 초까지는 당시 이슈가 되었t던 웹 사이트 자료를 대상으로 하였고, 2000년대 중반부터는 웹 어워드 코리아의 대상 수상작을 분석 대상으로 선정하여 디자인 표현기법의 조형적 특성과 웹 디자인에 영향을 준 정보기술 특성을 분석하는 방법으로 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과 디자인 표현기법의 변화는 미니멀리즘과 스큐어모피즘으로 크게 나눌 수 있었고, 정보기술이 발전함에 따라 영향을 받으며 웹 디자인을 표현하는 방식이 다양하게 변화하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 앞으로도 다양한 디바이스의 출현과 영상 콘텐츠 활성화로 이와 조화를 이룰 수 있는 미니멀리즘의 영향을 받은 디자인이 지속할 것으로 예측된다.

과학기술의 눈부신 발전은 디지털 기기의 콘텐츠 및 디자인의 다양성과 변화로 이어졌으며 여기에서 파생되는 UI, UX, GUI 디자인은 세분화된 디지털 디자인의 창조 및 발전으로 거듭났다. 이런 다양한 디지털 매체의 디자인은 도스 이후의 윈도우의 시작과 함께 생겨났으며 이는 마우스라는 혁신적인 도구의 개발로 인해 가능했다. 이러한 환경 안의 디지털 매체 디자인의 중심에는 모든 콘텐츠 및 버튼, 입구를 상징하는 아이콘이 있으며 모바일, 앱, 윈도우환경에서 필수요소로 자리 잡고 있다, 이러한 아이콘은 윈도우 초기 시절부터 다양한 발전을 거듭하였으며 이는 디지털 과학기술의 발전과 함께 하였다. 디자인 트렌드분석은 스큐어모피즘에서 부터 플랫된 형태 그리고 미니멀리즘으로 되돌아오기까지의 아이콘의 디자인의 변천을 분석한다. 분석 범위는 트렌드와 기기의 성능에 민감한 모바일을 대상으로 분석하며 Kress's grammar of visual design의 분석틀을 기본으로 한다. 특히 iPhone의 IOS7디자인이 애플의 대표 디자인 트렌드인 스큐어모피즘을 접고 미니멀리즘, 플렛 디자인을 채택해 큰 변화를 겪는 현 시점에서 모바일 앱시장의 GUI 디자인 기초 동향 파악 자료로 활용되는데 도움이 되고자 한다.
