When designing a gear drive, designers should specify tolerances reasonably considering accuracy, cost, and manufacturing capability. In field design, however, designers mostly assign adequate tolerance without correlations between parts and assembly, resulting in iterative design dependent on experts know-how. In order to resolve this, the tolerance design system for a cylindrical gear drive is developed both to support tolerance design automation and to synthesize design processes of part and assembly tolerances. In this research, part tolerances are designed with the databases constructed by ISO, Ks, JIS and bearing catalogue, Assemble tolerance, that is, backlash tolerance is designed by synthesizing part design tolerances stochastically using the formulated assembly relations. This system can include part tolerance and fitting accuracy of shaft adn bearing in practical design. In addition, this system provides field-designers with a synthetic guideline for tolerance design of a gear drive.

The study is to assist system developers or designers who are participated in the design of the user-computer interface on online services such as Online Public Access Catalogue and Online Search-ins. To design the optimal user interface, system developers and designers should try to complete the following process orderly: 1) they should know and understand the active and potential user's information seeking behaviors concerning online services in details as possible. 2) they should design the conceptional user model on basis of that knowledge. 3）They should design the logical and hierachical computer model adaptable to the current environment. 4) they should design the display of the computer terminal which is ease to learn and use by the users. 5) finally, they should design the optimal and practical user inter-face on basis of the above 2, 3, and 4.

전자상거래의 급속한 성장으로 기업간이나 기업과 고객간에 많은 정보나 문서의 이동이 불가피하게 되었다. 그래서 전자상거래에 있어서 정보의 표준을 만들고 관리하는 것이 중요한 성공 요소로 작용하고 있다. 전자 카달로그 시스템이나 EDI 환경에서의 정보의 표준을 만드는 작업은 XML이 나오기 전까지 매우 어렵고 비용이 많이 드는 작업이었다. 그러나 SGML과 HTML의 장점들을 가진 XML의 등장으로 정보의 표준을 만드는 것이 용이해 졌다. 특히 전자상거래는 이질적인 시스템이 존재하고 표준화가 절실히 요구되는 분야로서 XML 활용하는 것이 아주 적절하다. 즉 XML은 웹 환경을 기본 인터페이스로 하기 때문에 이질적인 시스템 환경 하에서도 잘 운용될 수 있는 측면과 표준화된 형태로 정보를 저장하기 때문에 표준화된 문서를 만들고 전송하는데 효율적으로 사용될 수 있는 측면에서 큰 장점이 있다. 이에 본 논문은 XSLT를 사용하여 브라우저 컨트롤에서 미리 볼 수 있게 하였다. 그리고 동적 DLL을 이용하여 XML 카달로그 편집 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다.

Different CAD systems are used in ship outfitting design on different usage and purpose. Therefore, data exchanges between CAD systems are required from different formats. For data exchange, boundary representation standard formats such as IGES and ISO 10303 (STEP) are widely used. However, they present only B-rep representation. Because of different CAD systems have their own geometry format, data exchanges with design intend are difficult. Especially, Tribon and PDMS use primitives for express their geometry in ship outfitting design. However, Tribon primitives are represented their parameter by values that are non-parametric. Therefore, data size of catalogue library is bigger than different CAD system using parametric primitive representation. And that system has difficulty on data reprocessing. To solve that problem, we discuss about shape DB which contains design parameters of primitive for exchange Tribon primitives. And geometry data exchange between Tribon and Shape Database that defines based on PDMS scheme are specified using primitive mapping that can represent design intend.

Today, offshore design field is concerned with system integration such as CIM(Computer Integrated Manufacturing), PDMS(Product Data Management System) and EDMS(Engineering Data Management System) in order to cope with the change of engineering specification as owner's requirements during construction stage of the project. This paper deals with the case study that describes about the efficient interface between material control system and 3D CAD system to support the design process in offshore industry using design rules involved the designer's knowledge. In this paper, we constructed an information system, called knowledge-based CAD interface systems, which is composed material code management system and 3D specification generator which automatically creates 3D catalogue anti specification by linking the material code, called short code, and the specification components of the 3D CAD system. As a result of the construction, it is possible to maintain consistency of the design process, and through reduction of the design processing time and improvement of the design process, competitiveness is improved.

The purpose of this study is to provide the fashion industry in Korea with materials that could enhance its international competitiveness by suggesting marketing strategies for fast fashion brands after taking product, price, place, and promotion into consideration. The product strategy should focus on developing products that accurately reflect the general market trend and consumer demand, selecting optimal materials, and pursuing internal production. This, coupled with strategic cooperation with designers, will ensure reliable quality and enhance the brand image. The pricing strategy should place greater emphasis on reducing production costs. Diverse task outsourcing and design competition, for instance, can lower the cost of design development. The place strategy should be set according to the operation of a systematic and efficient distribution system based on SPA, an automatic delivery system, sales or return system, speed control system, and a value chain that consists of horizontal business alliances. The promotion strategy should be run under the central control of the headquarters using various unique VMDs. Furthermore, online marketing campaigns, spectacular fashion shows, design competitions, catalogue marketing campaigns, and other new sales promotion schemes could all be introduced.

This study is on capacity building and attitude to work of librarians in Edo State public libraries, Nigeria. Investigation was on the capacity building programs in the Edo State public libraries, the levels of librarians' awareness and participation in the programs, methods of building the capacity programs, influence on the librarians' attitudes to work and factors militating against the programs. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study and the entire population of 23 librarians were used. Results indicate that the capacity building programs in the library include computer literacy skills, online public access catalogue (OPAC), Internet collection management and general trends in librarianship. The methods used in building the capacity programs in the library include conferences, workshops/seminars, on-the-job and internally organized courses. Respondents indicated very low level of participation in the programs and a negative influence of the programs on their attitudes to work. Various problems were identified as militating against the capacity building programs and solutions were suggested.

Speckle Interferometer equipped with an ITT intensified CCD have been used on the NCUO ( National Central University Observatory, Taiwan) 24-inch telescope for studying the orbits of bright binary systems selected from the Yale's Bright Star Catalogue. The high resolution and high sensitivity ITT intensified solid state video camera ( F4577 ) has external gain and gate control functions which will simplify the design of the speckle camera and allow us to do precise speckle photometry. The goal of this project is trying to study the bright binary systems with separations between the average size of seeing disk and the diffraction limit of the 24-inch telescope. Recently some observing data have been reduced and compared with the other teams' results. We are now improving the data reduction technology and trying to use real time observing mode on the monthly routine observation.

그리드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 세계의 많은 과학기술연구자들은 gLite 미들웨어 기반의 어플리케이션을 이용하고 있다. 미들웨어에서 데이터를 관리, 분석하기 위해서는 메타데이터 카탈로그 서비스를 이용하고 있으며, 유닉스, 그리드, 데이터베이스 환경에 익숙하지 않은 과학기술연구자들은 이 서비스를 이용하는데 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 논문은 과학기술연구자로 하여금 gLite의 공식 컴포넌트인 메타데이터 카탈로그 서비스 이용 시 접근 제약을 최소화하고 사용자 친화적인 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하기 위한 메타데이터 카탈로그 GUI 툴 설계에 대해 논의하고자 한다.

스마트 항로표지의 서비스를 동일한 규격으로 제공하고 사용자 인증과 접근 권한을 관리하기 위해 서비스 플랫폼을 설계하였다. 서비스 플랫폼의 요구사항을 충족하기 위해 사용자 인증을 위한 OIDC 구현 오픈소스인 Keycloak을 사용하였으며 서비스 관리를 위해서는 S-100 객체 카탈로그 버전 관리 방안을 사용하였다. 내부 서비스 데이터를 S-100으로 규격화 하기 위해서는 내부 서비스 데이터는 JSON Schema를 사용하여 S-100 데이터로 매핑을 위한 최소 규격을 설계하였다.
