Most elderly victims of senile dementia in Korea are cared for at home. This creates hardship for their families. Recent research suggests that the physical environment can affect the treatment of dementia. In light of these findings, a prudent approach to the design of the housing environment of family with dementia sufferers is advisable. This study aims to determine the design factors that need to be considered for the housing environment of dementia, particularly for those suffering from Alzheimer's or Cerebrovascular dementia. For this study, and in-depth qualitative investigation method was employed. Principal caregivers were interviewed using various investigative tools, including objective measures, structured and non-structured questionnaires. The investigation results suggest that the need for housing environment improvement varies with the severity and type of dementia. The housing needs in this study, is expected to promote a focus on improved design management for the environment and housing of dementia and their families. The results also suggest the establishment of a welfare policy for senile dementia victims and their families.

The design of composite space trusses is a demanding task that involves taking several decisions on the truss depth, number of panels, member configuration, number of chord layers and concrete slab thickness and grade. The focus in this paper is on the design of top concrete slabs of composite space trusses, and in particular their thickness. Several effects must be considered in the process of designing the slab before an optimum thickness can be chosen. These effects include the inplane forces arising from shear interaction with the steel sub-truss and the flexural. and sheer effects of direct lateral slab loading. They also include a constructional consideration that the thickness must allow for sufficient cover and adequate space for placing the reinforcement. The work presented in this paper shows that the structural requirements on the concrete slab thickness are in many cases insignificant compared with the constructional requirements.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore nursing students' experience in microbiology courses. Methods: Data were gathered through 4 focus group interviews and 1 in-depth personal interview, by 19 nursing students who attended microbiology courses. Data were collected June 15-July 20, 2018. Conventional content analysis was used for data analysis. Results: The result of this study revealed 4 categories: "facing the challenge", "types of learning", "lack of learning motivation", "acquiring knowledge of infection". Conclusion: Findings suggest that it is important to identify nursing students' perspectives, to improve microbiology curriculum in the educational process. Also, it is necessary to connect continuously, between educational and practical environments, for effective management of microbiology courses.

The number of vegetarian restaurants in Malaysia has been increasing as people are motivated by various reasons to consume vegetarian foods. In addition, university students contribute to the economy, hence it is important for investors or owners of vegetarian restaurants to understand university students' perceptions on vegetarian restaurants based on their own experiences. This research provided an insight of factors influencing university students, such as family members, religion, trend and health. The objective of this research was to identify the perceptions of university students on vegetarian restaurants. This research used a qualitative approach by conducting a focus group interview with university students as a source of data collection. The six respondents were selected based on the criteria of university students in Malaysia who are consuming vegetarian food. Findings enabled investors and owners of vegetarian restaurants to have an in-depth understanding on the factors influencing university students' perceptions on vegetarian restaurants and take necessary action to accommodate them.

The application of focused ion beam (FIB) technology in micro/nano machining has become increasingly popular. Its usage in micro/nano machining has advantages over contemporary photolithography or other micro/nano machining technologies such as small feature resolution, the ability to process without masks and being accommodating for a variety of materials and geometries This paper focus to apply the sputtering technology accumulated by experiments to 3d structure fabrication with high resolution. Therefore some verifications and discussions of the characteristics of FIB sputtering results according to focal length were described in this paper. And we suggested the definition of rectangular pattern profile and made the verifications of sputtering results based on definition of it.

A good understanding of the interaction between flow, vegetation, and sediment is required for successful river restoration and sustainable flood management. The purpose of this paper is to provide a summary of available methods to determine flow resistance of natural rivers with vegetation, and discuss the influence of vegetation on erosion and sedimentation processes. Recently, significant advances have been made, but the effects of vegetation on flow and sediment dynamics are still not fully understood. Possible solutions to close the gaps in the current knowledge are suggested, with special focus directed to the determination of the interactive width between main channel and vegetated floodplains, the flow resistance of flexible vegetation with and without leaves, and the flow over submerged vegetation with low water depth.

The side burrs and shape distortion resulting from the micromachining of an array of V-shape microgrooves in optical components were experimentally invesigated and a simplified model for their formation is proposed. Burr/shpae distortion should be kept to a minimum level since they degrade the characteristics and performance of these parts. The focus of this study is on the influence of depth of cut and workpiece material. The workpiece materials use were brass, bronze and copper. From the obsevation of the chip shape and burr/shape distortion, the proposed model, that the compressive force at the cutting edge causess the ductile uncut chip material to flow plastically outward toward the free surface to result in a burr, was verified.

The purpose of this study explores the meaning of shopping and shopping behavior of consumer under the perception of time pressure. In this study, qualitative methods such as participation observation, depth interview, focus group interview were used. The major findings are as follows : First, consumer under the perception of time pressure defined shopping is mainly' grocery purchasing'. Second, they go shopping on weekend, in familiar store and buy the same kind of goods. Like this, their shopping patterns appear fixed type. Third, this study ascertained proposed time management strategies applied to shopping. Finally, a place of residence, driving or not, house helper, children and standard of family influence on consumer's shopping behavior additionally.

We demonstrate the operation of an apparatus that we call the laser scanning confocal microscopy. It is valuable tool of the investigations for imaging process. We measured the thin metal structure through the SCM manufacture. Confocal microscopy offers several advantages including shallow depth of field, elimination of out-of-focus glare, and the ability to collect serial optical sections from thick specimens than conventional optical microscope. This research is manufactured of scanning confocal microscopy and after measured of metal materials structure.

This study aimed to ascertain whether electronic courses at the deanship of electronic learning and distance education at Umm Al-Qura University meet the quality standards developed by the Quality Matters (QM) organization. This endeavor adopted a mixed method of an explanatory sequential research design for an in-depth understanding of the topic under scrutiny. The sample of the study consisted of ten courses designed at the deanship and reviewed using an evaluation form. The results showed that the courses in focus did not meet the criteria of QM. Based on this finding, a semi-structured interview was designed to collect relevant data from the syllabus designers at the deanship. The interviews yielded information on the difficulties the course designers faced when designing QM-criteria-based courses. The results obtained from the interviews showed that the designers experienced administrative, technical, and faculty-member-related challenges that, when producing online courses, intercepted their way to achieving the QM standards. The study closed with some recommendations, the most important of which is a call for re-developing online courses in alignment with the well-recognized QM standards.
