수질 개선을 위한 침전산화수로 개발 (Development of Depot Encircled with Oxidation Canal for Water Quality Improvement)

  • A depot encircled with contact oxidation canal has been developed to improve water qualityr. The depot is aimed to settle suspended solid in the flow. The oxidation canal is to contact the pollutants and oxygen in the surface of gravel filter to purify the water. The deposit of the pollutant in the depot is released by the drainage culvert located at the bottom of it. Aeration nozzle is installed to supply enough oxygen to the gravel filter layers in the bottom of the detent the flow and improve oxidation efficiency. From the experiment it is founded that 91% of SS, 39% of TN, 63% of TP and 77% of COD were removed in the system. The treatment efficiency of total nitrogen is rather lower than any other components, however, it would be higher when some floating vegetation is added in the primary clarifier. The depot and oxidation canal system would be useful to purify the flows in the mouth of the reservoirs or at the outlet of the drainage canal.

  • Purpose: This article provides the efficiency test results of conducting depot maintenance. Method: ANOVA (analysis of variance) and ANCOVA (analysis of covariance) tests are conducted using data obtained from Defense Logistics Integrated Information System (DELIIS). Results: The result shows that although the effect of the depot maintenance is significant, some parts do not follow the overall effect of the depot maintenance. In order to solve the problem we provide some suggestions to be improved. Conclusion: For improving the combat readiness condition of K-1 main battle tank, the maintenance policies and regulation must be revised for the parts of the weakness. In addition, the collection way of the operation and maintenance data must be redesigned.

  • Even though K-series combat equipment's engine depot maintenance cycle of ROK army is 10years In average, that of the K-9 Self Propelled(SP) howitzer which has been fielded since 99 $3{\sim}4$years causing limitations to effective equipment operations and combat-readiness. Therefore, the current K-9 self-propelled howitzer engine operation period of 1,500 hours, which is greatly shorter than other equipments, had to be verified. In order to find the optimum depot maintenance cycle, related field operation conditions were verified and opinions were collected, and also the background on current depot maintenance cycle setting was studied.

  • Duty cycle is determined as the ratio of operating time to total time. Duty cycle in reliability prediction is one of the significant factors to be considered. In duty cycle application, non-operating time failure rate has been easily ignored even though the failure rate in non-operating period has not been proved to be small enough. Ignorance of non-operating time failure rate can result in over-estimated system reliability calculation. Furthermore, utilization of duty cycle in reliability prediction has not been evaluated in its effectiveness. In order to address these problems, two reliability models, such as MIL-HDBK-217F and RIAC-HDBK-217Plus, were used to analyze non-operating time failure rate. This research has proved that applying duty cycle in 217F model is not reasonable by the quantitative comparison and analysis.

Depot 통합에 따른 출고 컨테이너 효율성 분석 : C사 모델을 중심으로 (An Analysis of Efficiency in Container Shipment Cargo Volumes after Integrated Operation of Depots : Focusing on C Company)

  • 창고형 매장의 성장이 가속화되면서 창고형 매장에 대한 물류의 중요성도 증대되고 있다. 이러한 측면에서 본 연구는 GIS를 사용하여 C사의 Depot 통합운영 후 운송 효율성을 분석하였다. Depot 통합에 따른 컨테이너 출고 물동량 변화를 분석한 결과, 배송시간 측면에서는 Depot 1개를 운영 할 경우 연간 총 1,028,699km 운행이 필요한 것으로 분석되었고, 이는 Depot 3개를 운영할 때 연간 총 2,866,604km 운행이 필요한 상황과 비교할 경우, 연간 1,028,699km 감소가 되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 배송시간 측면에서도 Depot 1개를 운영 할 경우 일일 62시간의 시간절감과 전체적으로 36%의 절감효과를 기대할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 GIS OD Matrix를 이용하여 Depot 통합과 컨테이너 배송전환에 따른 운영 프로세스 개선, 운송시간 및 거리 절감효과를 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다른 창고형 할인매장의 배송 프로세스에 영향을 줄 수 있는 중요한 판단지표로 활용될 수 있다.

  • 항만구역에 있는 철도시설 중에서 비교적 규모화 된 항만철송장은 현재 부산항지역과 광양항지역에 배치되어 있다. 항만철송장은 철도물류의 시종 역할을 하는 주요한 기능이나 현재는 선로 배선 규모, 하치장 면적 등에 있어서 철도의 특성을 반영하지 못하여 비교적 활성화 되지 못한 상황이다. 또한, 활성화 되어 있더라도 이미 처리용량이 포화상태에 이르러 더 이상 철도수송물량을 증대하기는 어려운 상황으로 철도컨테이너 수송사업 활성화를 위해선 근본적으로 항만철송장 시설규모에 대한 재산정이 매우 필요한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 철송장의 시설배치 상 문제점 해결을 위해서 최근 개장한 부산신항의 철송장을 중심으로 문제점을 분석하고 해결할 수 있는 방안에 대해 살펴보았다.

차량기지내 철도운행시 발생되는 진동특성에 관한 연구 (Vibration characteristics of a railway depot: Practical approach)

  • In Seoul, several railway depots are located at the places where a public can easily access. Since a depot occupy a large amount of land itself, it is natural to use those sites for a public building construction such as an apartment complex or a transportation terminal, as an example. Most of the buildings on a depot, however, are exposed to vibration problems, because foundations are excited from the dynamic loading whenever heavy trains pass on the track. Severe vibration may cause a damage to building structures and a troublesome to a community. In this paper, some vibration practices have been examined in order to resolve the vibration problems. First, a critical speed of a train in a railway depot is evaluated. Then, a structural effect on the transmission of a vibration energy has been investigated. Finally, practical approaches to reduce the vibration level have been proposed. In this first half part of the paper, the focus has been on the critical speed and a structural transmission phenomena.

  • Environment Conversion Factors, which are stipulated in System Reliability Toolkit, have a lot of advantages once applied in a reliability data handbook such as NPRD-95, during the process of reliability prediction. However, the factors have a restriction in their applications because they don't deal with a few environments, e.g., Missile Launch (ML). In this study, environment factors of various components from MIL-HDBK-217F were analyzed to address this problem. Statistical computations showed that converting from Airborne Rotary Wing (ARW) to Missile Launch (ML) was the most coherent by comparing coefficient of determination. In addition, conversion factors from System Reliability Toolkit and those from the statistical calculations were evaluated in terms of their similarities.

상용 전기전자 부품의 품질등급 적용 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Method for Classifying Quality Levels of Commercial Electric & Electronic Parts)

  • The quality of a part has directly effect on part reliability. In the basis of MIL-HDBK-217F model, it is the determined rule that part's quality level should follow its nominal one written in its specification. If quality information is unknown, quality level of the part should be determined as 'Lower'. However, the prediction model is said to be short in reflecting parts applying 'state-of-the-art' technology and result in over-estimated failure rate by some reliability-related authorities or research institutes. In this study, the reliability prediction results by the model of MIL-HDBK-217F and Telcordia SR-332 are compared and analyzed to verify whether the statement is reasonable or not.
