This paper proposes a method utilizing Differential Global Position System (DGPS) with Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) and pre-built Geo-graphic Information System (GIS) to detect lane departure of a vehicle. The position of a vehicle measured by DGPS with RTK has 18 cm-level accuracy. The preconditioned GIS data giving accurate position information of the traffic lanes is used to set up coordinate system and to enable fast calculation of the relative position of the vehicle within the traffic lanes. This relative position can be used for safe driving by preventing the vehicle from departing lane carelessly. The proposed system can be a key component in functions such as vehicle guidance, driver alert and assistance, and the smart highway that eventually enables autonomous driving supporting system. Experimental results show the ability of the system to meet the accuracy and robustness to detect lane departure of a vehicle at high speed.
More than 80 percent of traffic accidents related with lane departure believed to be the result of crossing the lane due to either negligence or drowsiness of the driver. Lane-departure related accident in the highway usually involve high fatality. Even though LDWS is believed to prevent accident 25% and reduce fatalities by 15% respectively, its effectiveness in performance is yet to be confirmed in many aspects. In this study, the vehicle lateral locations relative to warning zone envelop (earliest and latest warning zone) defined in ISO standard, ECE and NHTSA regulations are compared with respect to various factors including delays, vehicle speed and vehicle heading angle with respect to the lane. Since LDWS is designed to be activated at the speed over 60 km/h, vehicle speed range for the study is set to be from 60 to 100 km/h. The vehicle heading angle (yaw angle) is set to be up to 5 degree away from the lane (abrupt lane change) considering standard for lane change test using double lane-change test specification. The TLC is calculated using factors like vehicle speed, yaw angle and reaction time. In addition, the effect of vehicle type and reaction time have been considered to assess LDWS safety.

Recent advances in networking and computers, especially internet of things (IoT) technologies, have improved the quality of home life and industrial sites. However, the security vulnerability of IoT technologies causes life-threatening issues and information leakage concerns. Studies regarding security algorithms are being conducted. In this paper, we proposed SEED algorithms based on one time passwords (OTPs). The specified server sent time data to the client every 10 seconds. The client changed the security key using time data and generated a ciphertext by combining the changed security key and the matrix. We applied the SEED algorithms with enhanced security to Linux-based embedded boards and android smart phones, then conducted a door lock control experiment (door lock & unlock). In this process, the power consumed for decryption was measured. The power consumption of the OTP-based algorithm was measured as 0.405-0.465W. The OTP-based algorithm didn't show any difference from the existing SEED algorithms, but showed a better performance than the existing algorithms.

The departure flow management is the planning tool to optimize the schedule of the departure aircraft and allows them to join smoothly into the overhead traffic flow. To that end, the arrival time prediction to the merge point for the cruising aircraft is necessary to determined. This paper proposes a trajectory prediction model for the cruising aircraft based on the machine learning approach. The proposed method includes the trajectory vectored from the procedural route and is applied to the historical data to evaluate the prediction performances.
We first describe an approximation method for fitting a k-state MMBP to the departure process of a D-BMAP/Geo/1/K queue. The fitting model is them used in a simple decomposition algorithm to analyze a tandem configuration of finite capacity queue with cell loss.
A dynamic traffic assignment (DTA) has recently been implemented in many practical projects. The core of dynamic model is the inclusion of time scale. If excluding the time dimension from a DTA model, the framework of a DTA model is similar to that of static model. Similar to static model, with given exogenous travel demand, a DTA model loads vehicles on the network and finds an optimal solution satisfying a pre-defined route choice rule. In most DTA models, the departure pattern of given travel demand is predefined and assumed as a fixed pattern, although the departure pattern of driver is changeable depending on a network traffic condition. Especially, for morning peak commute where most drivers have their preferred arrival time, the departure time, therefore, should be modeled as an endogenous variable. In this paper, the authors point out some shortcomings of current DTA model and propose an alternative approach which could overcome the shortcomings of current DTA model. The authors substitute a traditional definition for time-dependent OD table by a new definition in which the time-dependent OD table is defined as arrival time-based one. In addition, the authors develop a new DTA model which is capable of finding an equilibrium departure pattern without the use of schedule delay functions. Three types of objective function for a new DTA framework are proposed, and the solution algorithms for the three objective functions are also explained.

Modem version of supersonic jet fighter aircraft must have been guaranteed appropriate controllability and stability in HAoA(High Angle of Attack). The HAoA flight control law have two parts, one is control law of departure prevention and the other is control law of departure recovery support. The control laws of departure prevention for advanced jet trainer consist of HAoA limiter, roll command limiter and rudder fader. The control laws of departure recovery support are consist of yaw-rate limiter and MPO(Manual Pitch Override) mode. The guideline of pitch rocking using MPO mode is simple, but operating skill of pitch rocking is very difficult by the pilot with inexperience of departure situation. Therefore, automatic deep stall recovery system is necessary. The system called the "Automatic Pitch Rocker System" or APRS, provided a pilot initiated automatic maneuver capable of an aircraft recoveries in situations of deep stall, speed and altitude. This paper addresses the design and validation for APRS to recovery of an deep stall without manual pitch rocking by the pilot. Also, this system is designed to recovery of speed, attitude and altitude after deep stall recovery using ATCS (Automatic Thrust Control System) and autopilot. Finally, this system is verified by real-time pilot evaluation using HQS (Handling Quality Simulator).

This study presented a methodology for evaluating the performance of the lane departure warning system was derived by calculating the relationship between the behavior information of the car and the location of the high-precision map using a high-precision map. The evaluation criteria of the mood and lane departure warning system for the installation of road markings in Korea were analyzed, a high-precision map was constructed to meet the evaluation criteria, and an evaluation system was constructed to verify the proposed methodology. Evaluation of lane departure warning systems using high-precision maps can be quantified and applied to various road environments through accurate location-based comparative analysis and reduced manual post-processing work time to confirm evaluation results.

In general, railroad operation companies sell tickets to maximize their profits by applying the ticketing release time (when selling any tickets regardless of trip distances). This study is to analyze the effect of the release time on KTX ticket reservation behavior. The reservation behavior in this study means the reservation time calculated by difference between ticketing time and departure time. The data come from KTX ticket sales data of Gyeongbu-line for a week including Saturday and Sunday. The results show that the factors to affect the reservation time are day of the week, trip distance and operation direction, in addition to the release time. Furthermore, most of tickets were reserved three hours before their departure time, and most of the up line weekend users reserved their tickets a day before the departure time. Before the release time, reservation time was affected by up line and long distance travel. On the other hand, after the release time, it was affected by long distance travel and Sunday.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of on-line departure time-based link travel time estimates. For this, accuracy (i.e. estimation error) and timeliness (i.e. degree of time lag) are proposed as MOE of the quality of on-line link travel time estimates. Then the relationship between quality of link travel time estimates and link length and level of congestion is analyzed. It was found that there is trade-off between the accuracy and timeliness of link travel time estimates. The estimation error was modeled to consist of two components: one is systematic error and the other is mean square error which reflects level of congestion. further, time lag was again segmented into three parts for the analysis purpose. There are minimum one, congestion-related one, and update interval-related one. From the real-world data using AVI system, it was revealed that regardless of the link length and level of congestion, 10 minutes of time lag occurs in general.
