적색육어류의 고도불포화지질의 이용에 관한 연구 3. 정제정어리유의 제조 (Utilization of Polyunsaturated Lipids in Red Muscled Fishes 3. The Conditions of Refining, Decoloring, and Deodorization for Processing of Refined Sardine Oil)

  • 정어리유의 고도불포화지질을 일상식생활을 통하여 효과적으로 이용하기 위하여 정제정어리건의 제조를 위한 탈산, 탈색, 탈취 등의 정제조건을 검토한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 정어리유의 탄산은 알칼리처리가 효과적이었으며 2M NaOH용액을 $0.5\%$ 과잉첨가하고 $30^{\circ}C$, 30분처리가 적조건이었다. 일반적으로 행하는 인산처리는 탈검에 효과가 없었다. 2. 탈색은 산성백토만을 기름의 $5\%$정도로 첨가하고 감압하에서 $60^{\circ}C$ 20분간 처리하는 것이 가장 효락적이었다. 3. 탈취는 수증기증류가 효과적이었으며 4torr 이하로 감압하면서 $180^{\circ}C$ 이하의 온도에서 하는 것이 바람직하였고 $200^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 현저한 요오드가의 감소와 지방산조성에 변화를 초래하였다.

Isolation and Identification of a Lactic Acid Bacterial Strain KJ-108 and Its Capability for Deodorizing Malodorous Gases Under Anaerobic Culture Conditions

  • A number of different sources, such as composts, leachates, and pig feces samples, were collected from different pig farms in Korea, and several microorganisms were screened for their ability to deodorize the malodorous gases. Consequently, a novel malodorous gases-deodorizing bacterial strain, KJ-108. was isolated, because it was highly abundant in nitrate-supplemented minimal medium ($MM-NO_3^-$) under anaerobic culture conditions. Airtight crimp-sealed serum bottles containing $MM-NO_3^-$ , medium were inoculated with KJ-108. Nitrate concentration was decreased rapidly after 20 h of incubation, and incubation was carried out until nitrite production reached almost zero. Taxonomic identification, including 16S rDNA base sequencing and phylogenetic analysis, indicated that the isolate had $100\%$ homology in its 165 rDNA base sequence with Lactobacillus pentosus. Among the volatile fatty acids, acetic acid contained in large amounts in fresh piggery slurry was decreased by about $40\%$ after 50 h incubation with strain KJ-108. n-Butyric acid, n-valeric acid, and isovaleric acid were gradually decreased, and isobutyric acid and capronic acid were dramatically eliminated at theinitial period with the treatment. Moreover, NH, removal efficiency reached a maximum of $98.5\%$ after 50 h of incubation, but the concentration of $H_2S$ was not changed.

퇴비화 시설용 천연 악취저감제로의 잣송이 부산물의 활용 가능성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Feasibility of Utilization of Pine Cone Byproduct as a Natural Deodorizing Agent for Composting Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 잣송이 부산물을 이용하여 인체와 가축에는 무해한 천연 잣송이 부산물 악취저감제를 제조하고 돈분뇨 퇴비화과정에 적용하여 악취 저감효과와 퇴비화에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 잣송이 부산물 악취저감제는 분쇄된 잣송이 부산물, 3종의 미생물(Lactobacillus spp., Alcaligenes spp., Pasteurella spp.) 그리고 무기영양소가 첨가된 당밀수를 혼합하여 수분함량을 55%로 조정한 후 $30^{\circ}C$에서 48시간 배양하여 제조하였다. 실험 처리구는 대조구인 톱밥처리구(T1),톱밥과 3종의 미생물을 혼합한 처리구(T2), 톱밥과 제조된 악취저감제(NDA) 처리구(T3)로 하여 실험실 규모의 반응기 내에서 퇴비화를 진행하면서 실험한 결과 퇴비화 기간 동안 모든 실험구는 최고온도 $55^{\circ}C$ 이상까지 상승하며 병원성 유해미생물들이 사멸되는 퇴비화 적정온도 조건에 부합하였다. 또한 퇴비화 전, 후의 이화학적 성상 변화를 분석한 결과 처리구간 큰 차이가 발견되지 않았으나 제조된 악취저감제를 20%이상 사용시 유기물 분해율이 적어져 퇴비화 과정에서 충분한 온도 상승이 이루어지지 않을 우려가 있을 것으로 판단되었다. 또한 악취저감제 사용 시 퇴비화 과정 중 암모니아 가스 발생에 따른 질소소실이 상대적으로 적어 최종 퇴비물질의 질소함량이 상대적으로 높아짐을 알 수 있었다. 퇴비화 기간 중 암모니아($NH_3$)가스 발생양상을 분석한 결과 황화수소($H_2S$)와 머캅탄($CH_3SH$) 등의 황화합물 가스와는 달리 퇴비화 전 과정을 거쳐 지속적으로 발생함을 알 수 있었다. 퇴비화 반응조에서 발생한 암모니아 가스 농도를 비교할 때 31일 동안 포집된 암모니아의 농도는 T1, T2, T3 각각 12,660 mg/L, 11,598 mg/L, 7,367 mg/L로 잣송이 부산물을 이용하여 제조된 악취저감제를 첨가한 T3에서 암모니아가스의 발생이 확실하게 저감됨을 알 수 있었다. 퇴비화 과정 중 발생하는 머캅탄($CH_3SH$)과 황화수소($H_25$)의 일일발생량과 축적량을 측정한 시험에서 제조된 악취저감제를 첨가한 T3에서는 황화수소 가스와 머캅탄 가스가 크게 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과로 미뤄 잣송이 부산물과 미생물을 혼합하여 제조된 악취저감제의 적량 이용은 퇴비화 과정과 퇴비 품질에 영향을 미치지 않으며 퇴비화 과정 중 발생하는 악취물질을 저감시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

축산농가에서 목초액을 이용한 암모니아 가스의 제거 특성에 관한 연구 (Ammonia Removal Characteristics by Pyroligneous Liquid at Livestock Farmhouse)

  • This study was carried out to obtain the optimal ammonia removal efficiency using pyroligenous liquid for the economical and environment-friendly odor removal at a petty livestock farmhouse. The ammonia removal efficiencies were evaluated due to changing dilution rates(${\times}$10, ${\times}$20, ${\times}$30, ${\times}$50 and ${\times}$100 times) and different spray amounts(10$m\ell$ and 20$m\ell$) of pyroligenous liquid. The wet scrubber device was used to remove odor in closed-type livestock farmhouse. According to dilution rate of the pyroligenous liquid, the optimum rate was 20 times and the removal efficiency increased by decreasing dilution rates. In the case of spray amounts with the optimum dilution, the amount was 20 me and the removal efficiency increased by increasing spray amount. Also, the removal efficiency by using wet deodorizing device was 83.0-97.0% with 20 times diluted liquid.

Utilization of Deodorized Poultry Feces with Tolura sp. CH-30

  • Treatment of poultry feces with Tolura sp. CH-30 produced a material that was significantly deodorized and showed a promotive effect on plant growth. Tolura sp. CH-30 grew on the poultry feces, deodorizing the feces by assimilation of volatile fatty acids, which are the source of the offensive odor, as a carbon source. Significant degradation of uric acid also occurred. In the treatment of feces with Tolura sp. CH-30, it was possible to deodorize feces in a short time, but reduction in the amount of urate-N was not enough. Urate-N inhibited plant growth due to an excessive nitrogen content produced as a result of rapid decomposition. Therefore, we propose a recycle-treatment plan using poultry feces treated with Tolura sp. CH-30. After the recycle-treatment, the amount of urate-N contained in the recycle-treated poultry feces was small and the recycle-treated poultry feces showed a promotive effect on plant growth when it was added at a nitrogen content of 1.6 g/600 g soil/pot.

나주배 적과(摘果)중 유과(乳菓)의 염색성 (Dyeing Properties of Young Superfluous Fruits of Naju Pear Trees)

  • Natural dyeing means coloring with dyes extracted from plants, minerals or animals found in nature. Natural dyeing provides calm and natural colors; it has antibacterial and deodorizing qualities; and the dyeing process is environmentally friendly. This study extracted natural dyes from young fruit by thinning out the superfluous fruits of Naju pear trees, and then examined its dyeing properties, the optimal dyeing conditions, and its color fastness for practical use. The results indicated that dyeing is ideal when it had Cu mordant treatment (5% concentration at 9$0^{\circ}C$, pH 4) for 50 min. The color fastness of natural dyes with Cu mordant treatment was very excellent after rubbing and dry cleaning, and also good after exposure to perspiration, light and washing.

A Development of Polyester-based Non-woven Fabric Filter for Air Purifier Treated with Self-actuated Photocatalyst

  • We studied the photocatalytic functionality such as deodorant, antibacterial, fine dust collection efficiency of polyester-based non-woven fabric filter treated with self-actuated photocatalyst. According to UV/visible result, the UV-visible peak of visible-light responsive photocatalyst was found to be red shift at 420 nm sensitive in the visible light region. The deodorizing performance was shown to be reduced more than 80% even without dark conditions. Fine dust particles collection efficiency was shown to be excellent at the size of not only $2.5{\mu}m{\sim}10.0{\mu}m$ but also less than $2.5{\mu}m$. Also antimicrobial and antifungus was shown to be reduced more than 99.9%.

  • 근년, 과학기술의 발달과 더불어 공업 생산력이 비약적으로 약진해서, 섬유제품이 풍부하게 생산$.$시판되게 되었다. 현대인은, 기능성을 중시한 제품에서, 여유성과 안락감각을 갖춘 제품, 게다가 위생적이고 건강성을 구비한 제품 쪽으로 소비자의 욕구가 변하여, 일상생활 환경의 청결성과 쾌적성을 추구하게 되었다. 특히, 현대의 젊은이들은 이러한 유행을 민감하게 받아들이고 있다. 의복의 쾌적성을 추구한 가공에는, 이 글에서 기술코져하는 항균방취가공을 위시해서, 소취가공, 방충가공, UV 제어가공, 대전방지가공 등이 있다. 이러한 제품들은 어느 것이나 섬유제품의 차별화와 고가화를 꾀한 가공이다. 대다수의 섬유관련기업은, 이러한 시대적인 흐름에 재빨리 착안해서, 섬유제품에서의 미생물의 증식을 억제하고, 악취발생을 방지하는 항균방취가공섬유제품의 연구개발과 용도확대에 힘을 쏟고 있다.

  • In these days, it is actively investigated to use loess in textile industry. The loess have been reported for emissivity of far-infrared and negative ion, and antibacterial efficacy. The loess consist of quartz, feldspar, clay mineral, iron oxide mineral, gibbsite [Al(OH)$_3$], etc. The main component of loess is clay minerals which have great adsorption about ion exchange and far-infrared emission properties. Recently, various inner-wears, sheets, and interior goods are manufactured using the loess due to its improved blood circulation, metabolism, antibacterial and deodorizing properties. (omitted)

Photocatalyst Effect of Polyester Fabrics Treated with Visible-light Responsive Photocatalyst

  • In this study, we studied the photocatalytic functionality such as deodorant, antibacterial, antistatic of polyester fabrics treated with visible-light responsive photocatalyst. According to UV/visible spectrometry result, the UV-visible peak of visible-light responsive photocatalyst was found to be red shift at 420 nm sensitive in the visible light region. Also, the deodorizing and antimicrobial performance were shown to be retained more than 99% both before washing and even after 25 times washing. According to washing durability of polyester fabrics treated with visible-light responsive photocatalyst, the reduction effects for gas such as ammonia, trimethylamine, formaldehyde and toluene after 25 times washing appeared to be retained as much as before washing. At both before washing and after 25 times washing, antistatic property showed frictional voltage of approximately 250V.
