치위생(학)과 신입생의 긍정심리자본과 대학생활 적응과의 관련성에 대한 융합적 연구 (Convergent Relationship between of Positive Psychological Capital on College Life Adaptation in Freshmen of Dental Hygiene Department)

  • 본 연구는 부산, 울산, 대구광역시 지역의 대학교 치위생(학)과에 재학중인 신입생을 대상으로 긍정심리자본이 대학생활적응과의 관련성을 파악하고자 조사를 실시하였다. 주요변인들의 결과 희망, 복원력, 낙관주의, 자기효능감, 학업적응, 사회적응, 개인정서적응, 대학환경적응의 요인에서 모두 정적 상관을 가지고 있어 유의미한 결과를 나타내었다. 긍정심리자본이 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향 요인 중 학업적응과 사회적응은 낙관주의(p<0.001)와 자기효능감(p<0.001)에서 유의한 차이가 있었고, 개인정서적응과 대학환경적응은 낙관주의(p<0.001)에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 따라서 긍정심리자본을 향상시킬 있는 중재 프로그램이 개발하여 체계적으로 교육현장에 적용해야 할 것이다.

치위생(학)과 학생의 온라인 수업 질에 대한 만족도 조사 연구 (A Survey Study on Online Learning Quality Satisfaction in Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 본 연구는 치위생(학)과 학생의 온라인 수업 질에 대한 만족도를 파악하고자 2021년 2월 3일부터 2월 17일까지 강원도 내 대학의 치위생(학)과 재학생 최종 228명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 분석결과, 좋은 수업 구성요소 별 온라인 수업 만족도는 중요도에 비하여 전반적으로 낮게 인식하였으며, 학습환경의 만족도가 중요도에 비하여 낮게 나타났다. 좋은 수업 세부 구성요소 별 온라인 수업의 중요도와 만족도의 차이는 수업의 체계성, 온라인 학습환경, 수업내용의 전달력에서 비교적 큰 차이를 보였다. 온라인 학습 콘텐츠 필요도는 수업자료와 VOD가 높게 나타났으며, 수업운영 유형의 만족도는 비실시간 수업이 높게 나타났다. 따라서 온라인 수업의 교수-설계 수립 시 질 개선을 위한 지속적인 노력이 필요하다고 생각된다.

Effects of Lactobacillus casei and Aggregatibactor actinomycetemcomitans against Streptococcus mutans according to the Concentration of Sucrose

  • Background: Some studies confirm the reduction of the number of Streptococcus mutans in saliva and dental plaque by Lactobacillus, however, these effects are not always confirmed in in vitro and clinical studies, and only the risk of dental caries has been reported. Our in vitro study aimed to reveal microbial and biochemical changes in the single cultures of S. mutans, Lactobacillus casei and Aggregatibactor actinomycetemcomitans and co-cultures of S. mutans and L. casei or A. actinomycetemcomitans according to sucrose concentration. We also aimed to confirm the anti-oral bacterial and anti-biofilm activities of L. casei and A. actinomycetemcomitans against S. mutans according to sucrose concentration. Methods: S. mutans (KCCM 40105), L. casei (KCCM 12452), and A. actinomycetemcomitans (KCTC 2581) diluted to 5×106 CFU/ml were single cultured, and L. casei or A. actinomycetemcomitans applied at concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% to S. mutans were co-cultured with selective medium containing 0%, 1% and 5% sucrose at 36.5℃ for 24 hours. Measurements of bacterial growth value and acid production, disk diffusion and biofilm formation assays were performed. Results: In the medium containing sucrose, the bacterial growth and biofilm formation by S. mutans, L. casei, and A. actinomycetemcomitans were increased. In contrast, 30% and 40% of L. casei in the medium containing 0% sucrose showed both anti-oral bacterial and anti-biofilm activities. This implies that L. casei can be used as probiotic therapy to reduce S. mutans in a 0% sucrose environment. Conclusion: The concentration of sucrose in the oral environment is important for the control of pathogenic bacteria that cause dental caries and periodontitis. To apply probiotic therapy using L. casei for S. mutans reduction, the concentration of sucrose must be considered.

치과위생사의 근무분야별 근무환경에 관한 연구 (A Study on Working Environment of Dental Hygienists by Their Work Division)

  • 본 연구는 임상분야와 공중구강보건분야에서 활동하는 치과위생사를 대상으로 근무분야별 근무환경을 조사분석함으로써 구강보건전문인력의 효율적인 활용과 향후 치과위생사의 보다 나은 근무환경을 위한 기초자료로 제공하고자 본 연구를 실시하였다. 1. 조사대상자의 인구사회학적 특성에서는 임상분야 근무자에 비해 보건분야 근무자가 연령 및 근무경력이 높고 기혼인 경우가 많으며 고학력자의 비율도 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 2. 근무일수 및 근무시간에서는 보건분야에 근무하는 치과위생사는 5일(95.8%), 임상분야에서는 6일(70.3%)인 것으로 조사되어 임상분야에서의 근무일수가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 3. 정기휴가 일수는 보건분야에서는 11~20일, 임상분야에서는 1~3일이 가장 높게 나타나 임상분야와 보건분야에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 4. 임금지급방식은 보건분야에서는 월급으로 지급되는 경우가 89.4%였고, 임상분야에서는 연봉으로 지급되는 경우가 65.4%였다. 5. 연수관련사항으로는 국내 및 해외 연수기회가 없는 경우가 63.5%였고, 연수참가비 주체에 대해서는 근무기관에서 지원되는 경우가 54.0%였다. 6. 기혼자의 복지 환경에서는 취업기회 차별이 없는 경우가 85.5%였고, 출산휴가유무에서는 출산휴가가 있다고 응답한 비율이 69.2%였으며, 출산휴가기간은 3개월이 74.8%로 나타났다. 7. 이직관련 사항으로는 이직경험이 있는 경우가 46.8%(보건 53.8%, 임상 45.8%), 없는 경우가 53.2%(보건 46.2%, 임상 54.2%)로 나타나 임상분야 근무자보다 보건분야 근무자에서 이직경험이 다소 높았다. 이직횟수는 1회 이직이50.8%로 가장 높았고, 보건분야와 임상분야에서 비슷한 분포를 보였다. 이직사유는 급여 및 근무조건의 이유가 29.2%로 가장 높게 나타났다.

일부 치위생학과 학생들의 병원실습 만족도와 스트레스 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Satisfaction and Stress Factors of Clinical Practice for Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 이번 연구는 치위생(학)과 학생들의 임상실습에 대한 만족도와 임상실습 스트레스 요인을 파악하고, 임상실습만족도와 스트레스 요인들 간의 상관관계를 알아보고자 2012년 5월 21일부터 6월 22일까지 병원 임상실습 경험이 있는 치위생(학)과 학생 232명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, SPSS WIN 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석한 후 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 스트레스 요인은 학제별로 환경요인, 역할요인, 대인관계요인, 이상과 가치 요인, BEPSI 모든 요인이 4년제보다 3년제에서 높았고(p<0.01), 실습만족도에 따른 스트레스 요인은 불만족일 때 모든 요인이 높았으며, 그 중 환경요인이 가장 높았다(p<0.001). 교육기관에 따라 환경요인은 치과대학병원이 가장 높았고, 대인관계요인과 이상과 가치요인은 치과병원, 역할요인과 BEPSI는 치과의원이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.01). 병원분위기가 나쁠 때 환경요인이 가장 높았고, 역할요인, 대인관계요인, 이상과 가치요인, BEPSI순이었다(p<0.001). 병원실습 스트레스 요인간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 실습만족도, 환경, 역할, 대인관계, 이상과 가치, BEPSI 간에는 양의 상관관계가 있었고(p<0.01), BEPSI에 가장 큰 영향력을 보이는 스트레스 요인은 대인관계였으며, 환경, 이상과 가치 순으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 임상실습에서 낯선 환경과 대인관계의 부족으로 학생들은 평소보다 스트레스 지수가 더 높을 수 있으므로 학생들이 스트레스에 대해 스스로 잘 대처할 수 있는 능력을 키워주기 위한 체계적인 임상실습 운영방안을 마련해야 할 것으로 생각된다.

연세대학교 치위생학과 구강위생교육실을 방문한 대상자의 구강위생관리 서비스체계에 대한 만족도 조사 (Clients Satisfaction with Oral Hygiene Care Services System Provided by the Dental Hygiene Clinics in the Department of Dental Hygiene, Yonsei University)

  • The setting of dental hygiene clinics is very important to dental hygiene education, which is the place not only to educate students but also to care clients. The purpose of this study is to provide basic research material for improvement of dental hygiene care system in dental hygiene clinics by analyzing the client satisfaction. A questionnaire survey by means of self-entry method was conducted to find out satisfaction of the client, who was visited to the dental hygiene clinics in the department of dental hygiene, Yonsei University. An analysis of frequency, one way ANOVA and T-Test were performed through SPSS 12.0K program. 1. Most clients were mainly composed of students in Wonju College of Medicine. 2. The clients visited for scaling(85.8%) and oral examination(9.73%) were much than treatment(4.42%). 3. Clients aged 21 to 25 were relatively lower in satisfaction with the facilities, system, attitude than any other ages. 4. The dental hygiene students are the lowest group in satisfaction with the facility, system, attitude than medical and nursing students. 5. The clients satisfaction with dental hygiene clinics was decreased in reverse proportion to visiting frequency. 6. Most of the clients pointed out the problems of appointment system(54.0%) and fee(23.0%), which should be improved than any other operation conditions. 7. Most of the clients were not satisfied with chair time and pain during care. 8. Most clients recognized to receive the better care service than other dental offices(81.3%). Especially, they paid attention to oral health education using phase-contrast microscope. 9. Many clients were dissatisfied with facilities of the dental hygiene clinics(71.7%). The problems of appointment system(54.0%) and chair time of dental hygiene care services(63.6%) had also inconvenienced to clients. The dental hygiene clinics in school play a crucial role in dental hygiene education to foster the student to be competent as a professional dental hygienist in the future. Therefore, well-organized dental hygiene care program based on dental hygiene process is essential. It is also required to improve the environment of dental hygiene clinics including facilities, appointment system and fee etc.

치과기공사의 셀프리더십 전략유형 - 경남지역을 중심으로 - (Self-Leadership Strategy Styles of Dental Technicians - Focused on Gyeongnam region -)

  • Self-leadership means a person's ability to make his thought or behavior in a right way by controlling it himself. Strategies of the same leadership can be largely categorized into three, behavior focused, natural reward and constructive thought strategies. In this study, the foresaid styles of self-leadership strategy are discussed from the perspective of dental lab laboratories' business environment of Gyeongnam region. And accordingly, this researcher examined such strategy styles that dental lab managers, chief technicians and assistant technicians usually have. Results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, out of the self-leadership strategy styles, most remarkably found among the professional of dental technology was constructive thought strategy, followed by behavior-focused and natural reward strategies in order. In general, therefore, the professionals strongly tend to make their thoughts that can a positive effect on their work performance or in a constructive way. In other words, professional dental technicians are more likely to make efforts to persuade or persuade themselves to change their own unreasonable confidence or negative process in more positive way. Second, the extent to which constructive thought strategy is perceived was not different among dental lab managers, chief technicians and assistant technicians. While, behavior-focused and natural reward strategies were found most strongly perceived by dental lab managers, followed by chief and assistant technicians in order. This may be attributed to the fact that the higher professional dental technicians are in position, the higher they are in self-leadership, or in the ability to overcome crises by themselves and make their thought or behavior in a right way. Dental lab managers usually have lots of experiences in relation to behavior-focused or natural reward strategy. Therefore, they are very strongly capable of controlling themselves in order to overcome crises or make their thought or behavior in a right way. In contrast, assistant technicians are still having lots of trials and errors because they are less experienced and skilled. This suggests that chief technicians should make themselves fully capable as a medium that connects between dental lab managers and assistant technicians.

치과위생사의 이직결정에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (The study on determinants for changing employment positions among dental hygienists)

  • Purpose: This study sought to identify factors associated with dental hygienists' decisions to leave one dental office and commence practice in another. In addition to, the reasons dental hygienists stay in the profession were investigated. Demographic descriptors, including education level, marital status and age, and employment setting were also examined. Methods: Currently practicing dental hygienists in Korea were surveyed from March to May 2003. Data were collected through a questionnaire. The survey collected information concerning the 461 respondents' personal characteristics and reasons associated with changing positions and staying. Data were analyzed using frequency distributions, independent t-tests and chi-square analyses. All statistical analyses were conducted using the Statistical Package for Social Scientists(SPSS v.10, Chicago, Illinois). Results: The primary reasons for taking up another employment were found to be better offer, inadequate salary and personal conflict with dentist. Secondary reasons stated for changing their job revealed additional factors including inadequate salary, better offer, and lack of benefits. The primary influence in deciding to remaining in the practice of dental hygiene was self-development. Family responsibility, safe environment and professional collaboration were also important factors in deciding to remain in workforce. Conclusion: The position changes of dental hygienists are primarily influenced by better offer. Inadequate salary and conflict with dentist were also important factors in deciding to change employment positions. The findings suggest that dental hygienists who remain in the workforce are positively influenced mainly by self-development. Employers of dental hygienists should be aware of these factors in employing process. If more hygienists could remain longer in their positions, the manpower situation would be affected positively.

일부 지역 치과위생사의 치과 건강보험에 관한 지식 및 심사조정률에 미치는 요인 (Analysis of the knowledge and insurance screening review rates of health insurance claims in the dental hygienist)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the level of knowledge and screening review rates of dental health insurance claims in dental hygienists. This analysis will provide the educational information to the dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by dental hygienists in Jeonbuk from December 17, 2012 to January 24, 2013. The questionnaire was distributed by ordinary mail or direct visit. Except incomplete answers, 350 data were collected and analyzed. The study instrument was adapted from the structured questionnaire by Hong and Yoo. The questionnaire consisted of education experience of health insurance management, subjective and objective knowledge, insurance screening review, and need for health insurance education. Data were analyzed by SPSS 12.0 program. Cronbach alpha in the objective knowledge on health insurance rate criteria was 0.836 and this was a reliable figure. Results: The subjective knowledge level of dental insurance was higher in the senior dental hygienists. Subgingival curettage was the lowest percentage of correct answers in the objective knowledge. In recent six months, higher review control rate was shown in the higher claim for health insurance and insurance screening review. Conclusions: The majority of the respondents had lower level of knowledge of health insurance claims. The continuous education of dental health insurance will be necessary in the dental hygienists.

전라북도 일부 지역 치과위생사의 직무만족도 조사 - 치과의료기관 운영제도를 중심으로 - (A research on the job satisfaction of dental hygienists an area in Jeollabuk-do - The focus of management system -)

  • Purpose : This study was to figure out the factors affecting the job satisfaction of dental hygienists working in dental clinics. To gain the data to establish the systems for enhancing the job satisfaction of the dental hygienists. This research has been conducted dental hygienists working in dental clinics institutes located in Jeonju and Iksan city, Jeollabuk-do, korea. Methods : The collected data were analyzed by using an SPSS statistical program, obtaining the following results. Result : The average satisfactory level of the dental hygienists was 3.45 out of 5 points. The most important factor affecting of the job satisfaction was the relationship with patients as 3.83 points and the least influencing factor was the compensation as 3.09 points. The management system and the satisfactory level were also correlated. For each of details, communication structure and working environment showed the highest correlation with Pearson's correlation coefficient of 0.610. Among the management system the general job satisfaction according to the communicational structure was higher when they had better communication with dentists. Among the management system, the job satisfaction according to structural factors was higher when they have manuals for the job, when their job is taken partial charge of the responsibility As for job satisfaction by the welfare support factor in the clinic management system, the better an informal social gathering, the higher general job satisfaction. As for job satisfaction by the job autonomy factor in the clinic management system, the more evenly distributed job opportunities and chances of reeducation for professional development led to higher general job satisfaction. Conclusion : The compensation-related grade was the lowest among the 6 constituent factors of the job satisfaction, it seems that improvement of wages and incentives is required to enhance the satisfaction of the dental hygienists. Also, improving factors affecting the management system of the dental service institute can increase the job satisfaction since the job satisfaction was higher when the institutes have the better management system.
