The study helped student not only to find out resident characteristics and their health problems in terms of family and community problem but also to provide a good learning experience by participating in the interviewing. In sum this type of study is necessary for planning of student field experience when no data are available where students are going to have field experiences in public health nursing.
Breast self-exam is easiest, safe and cost effective to be recommended as an important method for early detection of breast cancer. This experimental research with non-equal control design was to develop the efficacy expectation program for breast self-exam based on Bandura's self-efficacy information source. The study objects selected from two local churches in Busan. Twenty from S church were selected as a study group, twenty from D church as a control group. Efficacy expectation promoting program was based on Bandura's efficacy promoting source and was two hour lecture including slide, video tape, demonstration, pamphlet. After this, there were individual interviews with them and consultations through telephone f or verbal persuasion on the weekly basis between the first week and the fifth week. The effect from the experiment were measured on the first week after education and on the fifth week. Data from control group was collected during the period from Jan 11, 2 001 to Feb 15, 2001 and data from study group was collected during the period from Jan 12, 2001 to Feb 16, 2001. Measurement instrument for this study was developed by the author with the advice of specialist in order to measure self-efficacy and breast self-exam practice. Data analysis was done by using SPSS/10.0 PC program $with^2-$ test. t-test and ANCOVA. Proved results for hypothesis were as follows. 1) It was supported that "Study group educated by efficacy expectation promoting program has higher score in change rat e of self-efficacy than control group." (1 week after education F=18.395, p=.000 5 weeks after education F=28.972, p=.000) 2) It was supported that "Study group educated by efficacy expectation promoting program has higher score in change rate of exam practice than control group." (1 week after education F=37.984, p=.000 5 weeks after education F=28.972, p=.000) In conclusion, efficacy expectation promoting program for breast self-exam developed by this study may increase s elf-efficacy and breast self-exam practice.
The purpose of this study is to provide implications for the demonstration and the spread of smart cities. For this, the European Lighthouse project, a well-known smart city initiative, is analyzed. This article investigates agendas, applied solutions, stakeholders and cooperation, and expansion strategies in the 18 Lighthouse projects implemented by the EIP-SCC Smart City Demonstration Project. Four implications are discussed for Korean smart city projects. First, in promoting smart cities, clear philosophies and principles should be established in response to global issues such as climate change. Second, smart cities should be understood as the approaches for problem-solving rather than simply applying advanced technology. Third, a business system should be established in a way to meet the needs of the actors participating in the smart city demonstration project. Finally, an evaluation framework should be established to verify the performance of the project. High-performing best-practice projects should be supported by articulating their standards for their lessons to be spread into other cities. The implications presented here can contribute to developing smart city models along with follow-up studies.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the present status of practicum of fundamentals of nursing in baccalaureate nursing programs. Method: This study used a descriptive design surveying status of practicum of fundamentals of nursing from 47 schools. The instruments developed by investigator based on Shin's(2003) findings. The data collected were analyzed by SAS and the content analyses. Result: 1) The aims of fundamental nursing practicum were 'the acquirement of knowledge on fundamental nursing skill and attitude, and their implementations'. 2) 45 schools had their own practicum labs and the number of a group was 5 or 6. The mean number of student was 37.8 and the mean size of the labs was 169m2(${\pm}\;93.6$). 3) The credit of lecture and practicum ranged from 3 to 4 and in 32% schools, one professor and one teaching assistant were responsible for the practicum of fundamental nursing. 4) The teaching methods of practicum were shown as demonstration, role play, case study presentation, special lecture, video, computer simulation, and so forth. 5) The practice evaluation was used practice examination and students' self evaluation. Conclusion: The studies require of the contents and the evaluation method corresponding to the course objectives.
The purpose of this study was to develop an educational program to promote oral health habits and to analyze it's effects among elementary students. The study was a "one group, pre-test, post-test design", which included 158 3rd grade students from three elementary schools in Seoul. The effects were measured after each group had received a 40 minute program each week for three weeks. The program consisted of a lecture, 1:1 tooth brushing demonstration and practice, and viewing the oral health DVD. The students were given a questionnaire with 26 questions at the beginning and at the end of the study (6 questions about their toothbrushing habits, 5 oral health related habit questions, and 15 oral health related knowledge questions). All students received an oral-health practice pamphlet at the beginning of the program. The students who participated in the program had higher levels of oral health knowledge (t=27.23, p<.001), better toothbrushing habits (t=13.72, p<.001), and oral related habits ($X^2=34.22$, p<.001) after receiving the structured oral health educational program.

A methodology for XML documentation of the structural calculation document is presented to support manipulation of the design information on the internet. The text file format is chosen as a neutral format because it can be easily translated from office documents generated from engineering practice. The first word of each line is compared with the reserved numbering groups, and relative levels among the lines are defined to generate the hierarchically structured XML document of the text file. The demonstration subjected to sample general documents and structural calculation documents shows that the prototype application module based on the developed methodology can be adopted to build the database of design information which supports the safety management of infrastructures.
To solve the reverse function problem of computer games criticized nowadays, the main fact to be concerned in design should be to make feelings of satisfaction during playing and solving the given situation in the game world. In this paper, a design to fulfill the feelings of satisfaction directly and indirectly, controlling playable characters to help another non-playable character in some sort of danger is explained. The requirements to do so is analyzed and the result of demonstration is also presented.
