GMDSS(the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System), which is utilizing recently developed systems such as satellite communications and positioning system, digital communication system, computer and microelectronics technology, etc., has been adopted by International Maritime Orgnization(IMO) and coordina-ted with such organization as the International Telecommunication Union(ITU), World Meteorological Organizatoion(WMO), etc. This system took effect partly on February 1st 1992 according to the 1988 SOLAS Amemdments and, after some more complementary measures, will be fully operational by February 1st 1999. Comparing with the existing communication system, the new system is mainly based on the latest scientific technologies, and therefore overall countermeasure will be necessary to accept the system reasonably. GMDSS will transform the current communication system basically and be the major factor to change the demand and supply of personnel for radio communication. To cope with the system assertively, regulations relating to the radio installation, the posting of radio operators, the bounds of their duty, etc. must be established and the demand and supply of radio operators to meet the system must be accomplished pertinently. Moreover, the technique and quality of the person-nel responsible for the system must be upgraded to carry out the obligations by international regulations as well as to ensure the safety of life and property at sea. Looking into the actual situations of our country, every regulation relating to the GMDSS has been improved, but the concerned educational institutions and administrations have not yet prepared the rational and concrete schemes on the educational methods and adquate procedures for the system. Therefore, in this thesis, the author intends to propose directions for improving the courses and contents of education of the relating educational institutions and to suggest rational schemes for balancing the demand and supply of personnel to the administrative anthorty concerned.

This study was to propose a basic model of specialization in home economics for vocational high school development in JellaNamdo. The results were summarized as follows. First. based on the changes in economic environment into service industry and national educational policy and local vocational educational Policy, it may be good time to socially discuss special vocational high school in home economics in JellaNamdo in the light of meeting local students' demand. Secondly, considering local students' preference and the conditions of local economy and industry. Thirdly, the system for specialization in home economics of vacational high school may be suggested. The basic model was organized plans of system reformation by stages, a substantial plans, and academic or employment course development. System reformation plans was that the high school-concentrated district should be first selected by area and department and one high school should be selected as special high school in home economics. Then specific method should proceed school name, the measure to recruit students, specific method for reorganizing department. and curriculum. Finally, the annual plan to establish new department and to recruit students should be Prepared. Substantial plans were to actually forward such methods to reorganize system and to enhance the qualify of vocational high school education. the method for making substantial should be studied further It may include: the methods to ensure special teachers, training room, and facilities. the prospect and direction of career development, employment, or initiation, special research, and the application to educational environment. The purpose of this survey study is to guide the direction of the RN-BSN program in Korea by analyzing (1) the philosophy and objectives (2) curriculum (3) and appraisal method, achievement test and self-directed learning. In this study, subjects consisted of 20 department of nursing in University and 20 RN-BSN programs in Korea. The Survey was conducted from September 1999 through May 2000 by mail and FAX. 1) Educational philosophy and objectives of 5 RN-BSN programs have curricular based philosophy. Most popular philosophies were revealed that nursing is oriented role function, human relation, and integrated application. 9 RN-BSN programs have curricular based objectives. There are including of knowledge, applying the new technology, under-standing of human being family community, application of nursing process, leadership, nursing ethics, and participation in research. 2) In RN-BSN programs, total mean credits through general college courses for earning the degree of BSN is 21.5 and total mean credits through the nursing area for earning the degree of BSN is 71.4. In RN-BSN programs, total mean credits through clinical practice for earning the degree of BSN is 5.94. 25.00 of mean credits was earned through achievement test(6.00~37.00). Therefore, this research suggests some recommendation for the development of curriculum of RN-BSN program that was required to do some alterations. And the various and other methods of earning credit should be developed. That is, the students will earn credits, accredited examination of University, advanced placement examination, case study, self-report, self-directed learning and achievement tests, portfolio review session and so on. And the RN-BSN courses are delivered to many areas by teleconferencing system, computer network(EdNet or Internet etc), CD-ROM Title, VOD (video on demand) and other methods.
The landscape of Christian higher education is changing. Students once spent most of their time in a traditional classroom with a professor, but now they take online and hybrid courses (face to face and online). Some students complete their entire degree in a fully online program. Nearly every type of college in the United States offers online courses. Online learning has clearly moved from a fad to a fixture, and nowhere is that more apparent than at one of the largest universities in the country. As the demand for online course and programs increase, teachers and administrators in Christian universities and colleges face new challenges. Even though some teachers and administrators still believe online education is inferior to traditional face-to-face learning, we found no statistically significant differences in standard measures of learning outcomes between students in the traditional classes and students in the hybrid-online format classes. In this situation, since online education will develop continuously, Christian universities should utilize it variously through complete understanding and research about it predicting the future of online education style.

Marine pollution prevention manager system has been operated for the purpose of preventing marine pollution from ships and marine facilities in Korea. As a new "marine environment management act" replacing an old "marine pollution prevention act" had entered into force from January 20. 2008. the works and business of the education and training courses for marine pollution prevention manager are scheduled to transfer from KIMFT(Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology) and FHRDI(Fisheries Human Resource Development Institute) to KOEM(Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation) on January 1. 2011. The present state of the education and training for marine pollution prevention managers of marine facilities was surveyed and analyzed in order to prospect trainee demands for the education and training and to provide KOEM with basic data for establishing a new system for the education and training. The existing education and training courses of FHRDI for marine pollution prevention manager of marine facilities have been conducted as a regular course of 21 classes for 3 days. The average annual number of trainees in FHRDI for 6 years from 2003 to 2008 was 187 persons and the annual number of trainee was 202 persons in 2008. The trained demands for the education and training are expected to increase sooner or later, depending major factors such as the extension of fields and ranges for marine facilities and marine environment management business due to the enforcement of new "marine environment management act".

Driven by the changes of living environment and the improvement of life quality there is a growing desire for education, culture, daily life sports, and welfare of local residents. One of the places with the facilities and space which can accommodate such desires of the residents is elementary facility within welfare districts. Additionally, elementary school facilities are assuming more roles as the center of local community, and the current education facility policies are going through a great deal of changes and diversification of school facilities due to the operation of the new 7th education courses. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to analyze school facility compounding by domestic and overseas trends and patterns in line with the trend of the social demand, and the researcher found out that in Japan the mutual exchanges among local residents are very active by compounding sports facilities, cultural facilities, lifelong education facilities, and social welfare facilities in school facilities. Therefore, this thesis researched on the space structure pattern and planning elements of compounding facilities under the premise of utilizing them for the local society reflecting the domestic trends and characteristics, and intended to propose a direction for planned research on the compounded facilities of elementary school.
Recently, it is entering the hyper connectivity age due to the development of sensor and communication technology. In particular, it is emerging new industries such as the IoT, bigdata, cloud by convergence with the ICT and other industries. Because these industries are high the gravity of the software, the demand for software manpower is increasing rapidly. But university curriculum don't deviate from the traditional curriculum, and lack of positive response to these changes is occurring a mismatch with the industry demand. In this paper, investigate a software curriculums of the four-year university, and will attempt to investigate the perception about the university software course of the corporate perspective. Also, we draw a on-site fitness of universities training course by analysis of importance on software training courses between universities and businesses. Finally, we propose a strategy model for software training course design appropriate for the field.

The trainee demands for the education and training were attempted to be predicted on a basis on annual increase rate of ships. The predicted demands for the education and training are changeable depending on the major factors such shipping market, naval architecture industry, etc.
