This study seeks to propose and develop library science courses required in the digital age by investigating overseas LIS courses and surveying field librarians. Such courses must help the future librarian develop familiarity and skill with emerging technologies. As a result, required courses in the digital era were found to be: 'Design and Management of Databases', 'Library Planning, Marketing, and Assessment', 'Understanding Information Technology for Managing Digital Collections', and 'Information and Communication in a Digital Age' in that order, and should therefore be offered as core courses. In addition, 'Service for Information Disadvantaged Users' and 'Organization and Utilization of Web resources' were derived. The study also recommends different required courses based on different librarian types and duties.

This study aims to derive suggestions to help develop Hanbok education in the future by examining its current status in domestic educational institutions in light of rising social demand for Hanbok in the era of fashion Hanbok. We assessed the Hanbok curriculum in educational institutions nationwide, including universities and specialized institutes, and conducted in-depth interviews to understand the operational status of Hanbok-specialized education. We found that the demand for education on production functions is decreasing, while the demand for in-depth education on the history of Korean costume and education integrating Hanbok with design and marketing is increasing. We also found that, in the case of universities, which play an important role in Hanbok research and education, professional research and training are shrinking in graduate schools, whereas Hanbok subjects are being maintained and new subjects are being taught in undergraduate courses. In the fashion Hanbok era, it has been suggested that Hanbok education needs to converge with design and marketing education, beyond teaching only Hanbok. In addition, the necessity of expanding liberal arts education within universities to meet social demand was proposed, and online education was expected to help spread knowledge.
The purpose of this study vocational courses in general high schools in each city in order to operate efficiently. Provinces operating status and the general high school vocational courses through the regular high school vocational courses siltae analysis to identify operational problems, and that is to derive ways to improve. Operating in the desired direction, the typical high school vocational courses ilbango select students that meet the purpose of operating as one that students admit you need the correct promotion and career guidance and vocational courses ilbango teachers of vocational courses is operating correctly recognize the purpose and students with career guidance and vocational courses so that you can operate effectively at: Provincial Office-wide need to conduct a systematic study. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has been regulating emissions by making mandatory the compliance with institutions aimed at protecting air quality such as the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI), Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) and Tier III. Under the circumstances, one of the response measures considered to be the most feasible is the replacement of existing marine fuel with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). The industry has been preemptively building infrastructure and developing and spreading engine technology to enable the use of LNG-fueled ships. The IMO, in turn, recently adopted the International Code of Safety for Ships Using Gases or Other Low-Flash-Point Fuels (IGF Code) as an institutional measure. Thus, it is required to comply with regulations on safety-related design and systems focused on response against potential risk for LNG-fueled ships, in which low-flash-point fuel is handled in the engine room. Especially, the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) Convention was amended accordingly. It has adopted the qualification and training requirements for seafarers who are to provide service aboard ships subject to the IGF Code exemplified by LNG-fueled ships. The expansion in the use of LNG-fueled ships and relevant facilities in fact is expected to increase demand for talents. Thus, the time is ripe to develop methods to set up appropriate STCW training courses for seafarers who board ships subject to the IGF Code. In this study, the STCW Convention and existing STCW training courses applied to seafarers offering service aboard ships subject to the IGF Code are reviewed. The results were reflected to propose ways to design new STCW training courses needed for ships subject to the IGF Code and to identify and improve insufficiencies of the STCW Convention in relation to the IGF Code.
GMDSS(Global Maritime Distress and Safety system) is a new communication system for the distress and safety at sea which is utilizing the recent advancements in satellite communication and positioning system, digital communication system, computer and microelectronic technology, etc., and will completely substitute the current communication system by 1999. Although the improvements of education for producing qualified Radio Operators as well as the establi-shments of policy for accepting the system are required, the educational institutions and relating administ-rations have not yet prepared the rational and concrete schemes on the educational methods and accepting procedures for the system. In this study, as the result of analyzing the GMDSS, courses of training and relating data, the authors suggested principles for improving the course and contents of education and rational schemes for balan-cing the demand and supply of Radio Operators. The authors expect not only the consequences of this study can be utilized as reference materials for the instruction to ratio communication in the organs of education but also that the following effects can be obtained by the study. 1. Security of distress and safety communication system at sea by the establishment of relating regula-tions. 2. Rationalization of the management of radio communication at sea and improvement of the communi-cation system on the vessel. 3. Upgrading the quality of Radio Operators and presenting schemes for current qualified persons. 4. Activation of industry producing radio instruments. 5. Balance of the demand and supply of Radio Operators and development of shipping industry.
As the demand for analytics technologies in both industry and academia increases, the demand for analytics experts is also increasing. To meet this trend, universities have begun to develop new analytics curriculum and provide courses for training analytics experts. In this study, we surveyed curriculum of master's analytics programs of 9 Korean universities and 20 overseas universities. As a result of comparing the domestic university program with the overseas university programs, the average number of subjects per school program is more than that of the Korean university program, but it was found to be less in terms of diversity of subjects.

Software education is inevitable for the success of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and university education also requires innovation to cope with revolutionary change of the society. The number of students seeking employment in the IT field is steadily increasing regardless of the major of the student. However, the existing software-related courses offered by universities or private educational institutions are limited. This paper analyzes the existing software curriculum of several major universities for non-IT major students. In addition, in-depth surveys by students at Seoul Theological University is conducted to figure out the demand for the advanced level computer science subjects. Finally, new software education curriculum is proposed to fulfill the needs of non-IT major students and to improve the employment rate of non-IT major students seeking tech companies. The new curriculum will help to cultivate intermediate level IT experts that bridge the gap between advanced level IT experts and primitive level computer technicians.
