  • College foodservice (FS) demands highly-developed operation technique which can provide adequate nutrients to their students, as well as to guide better eating habits and to meet students' various desires. The purpose of this study was to provide basic data to improve college FS satisfaction with food items by comparing 2 contract-managed and 2 self-operated college FS in Daejeon and Chungnam area. According to the results, $\59.1%$ of students frequently (over 3 times per week) took meals at college cafeteria and the main reason for using college cafeteria was the low-price of meal, although the students' Satisfaction degree with price of meal was lower in contract-managed FS than in self-operated FS. There were no differences in the food satisfaction degrees with overall appraisal of food items between 2 operating systems of college FS, but the satisfaction degrees with all food items were high in male as compared with female. The higher the negative self-perceived clinical symptoms scores, the lower the satisfaction with foods, which suggests that the health state of students was one of the factors that influenced college FS satisfaction. According to stepwise multiple regression analysis,'taste of boiled rice', 'overall appraisal of boiled rice', 'overall appraisal of soup', and 'variety of side dish', in decreasing order, were the most relatively important attributes for overall customer satis-faction with food taste of college FS. Finally, there should be further studies on important management factors to improve college FS satisfaction according to 2 operating system.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate perceptions of Korean foods and school foodservice satisfaction levels among middle school students as provided by a Korean menu-focused school foodservice. The study subjects included middle school freshmen attending a school providing Korean menus and their parents. A survey questionnaire was administered to obtain information on general characteristics, perceptions of traditional Korean foods, and degrees of satisfaction toward school foodservice. The student subjects had significantly lower interest and preference for traditional Korean foods and less positive perceptions of traditional Korean foods than the parent subjects. In regard to degrees of satisfaction for school foodservice, the students evaluated the current Korean menu-focused foodservice significantly higher than the previous foodservice provided to them during their elementary school days. The parent subjects' also generally reported very high satisfaction levels of the foodservice. The current study findings suggest there are positive effects of Korean-style school foodservice and support its further expansion to other schools. It is recommended that dietary education on the excellence of traditional Korean foods should accompany the provision of Korean-style foodservices in order to better guide adolescents' recognition of the matter.

  • The arthroscopic ACL reconstruction using the bone-patellar tendon-bone has been considered as the gold standard in the treatment of the ACL insufficiency. There are many reports about the good functional outcome and the restored stability of the knee joint. But there are a few reports showing whether this surgery has good results in the patients' satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the patients' satisfaction in this surgery. Authors analysed 32 cases who had taken the ACL reconstruction from Jannuary, 1989 to June, 1997. The average follow-up was 40 months. At the last follow-up, 32 patients reported the patients' satisfaction degrees(four degrees; very satisfied, generally satisfied, improved, no change or aggravated), KT-1000 arthrometer test, Vastus atrophy(thigh circumference), and three kinds of the knee scores(Lysholm, HSS, IKDC). Among the 32 cases, 12 cases (37.5%) were very satisfied, 17 cases(53.1%) were generally satisfied and 3 cases(9.4%) were improved. No case showed no change or aggravated. The satisfaction degree in this surgery had little relation with the age, operation time, follow-up period, combination of meniscectomy, but had significant relations with anteroposterior stability evaluated by KT-1000, thigh circumference measurements and the functional scoring of the knee(Lysholm, HSS, IKDC scores).

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the predictive powers of the five technostress creators - techno-overload, techno-invasion, techno-complexity, techno-insecurity, and techno-uncertainty - in job satisfaction and teacher efficacy of primary school teachers in Korea when they incorporated mobile technology into teaching. A questionnaire was designed to measure the level of teacher's stress from technology, job satisfaction and teacher efficacy. Data were collected from 164 teachers. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to explain which area of technostress led to varying degrees of job satisfaction and teacher efficacy. The results showed that techno-complexity alone predicted both job satisfaction and teacher efficacy. The reason why techno-complexity was the only predictor is that teachers would have first needed to understand how to incorporate mobile technology into teaching, before feeling overloaded, invaded, insecure, or uncertain about it, meaning techno-complexity precedes other constructs. Therefore, the only stress factor that affected them was how to understand the complexity of mobile technology. This calls for adequate training and support from schools and governments in order for the teachers to fully incorporate technology into teaching.

The results of study were as follows : 1. CHPs without religion were more satisfied with their salary than those with religion. 2. CHPs who hoped for continuous education showed higher scores than the others on necessary job, professional pride and autonomy. Those who chose for independent job showed higher scores than the others on both necessary job and professional pride. Those who hope for long duration showed higher scores than the others on both necessary job and professional pride. Those who were satisfied with the present occupation showed higher scores than the others on pay satisfaction, necessary job, professional pride, interaction, autonomy and demand from organization. 3. Their autonomy scores differed significantly according to work status, both interaction and autonomy scores did so according to the fields of the past job in CHP, and their autonomy scores according to location of clinics. Their interaction scores differed significantly according to the frequency of home visits per mouth, both the degrees of salary satisfaction and professional pride scores did so according to the frequency of counseling education per mouth, and their professional pride scores did so according to total income per year. 4. The levels of their responsibility and self-confidence showed the highest of all personality traits variables. 5. The professional pride score of CHPs showed the highest of all job satisfaction variables. 6. Dominance were mostly correlated with autonomy and responsibility were mostly associated with professional pride. Both emotional stability and self-confidence were mostly related necessary job. In conclusion, religion, location of clinics, clinical experience, opportunity for education, dominance, self-confidence, the duration of services hoped for, satisfaction with the present occupation, the field of past job and administrative affairs were found to be the important factors in the degrees of their job satisfaction. • In this paper an attempt is tried to answer the following questions : What does ergonomics have to do with work satisfaction\ulcorner Is there more satisfaction when ergonomics have applied in the design of work\ulcorner Is ergonomics important for work satisfaction\ulcorner This paper is started by defining the concept of satisfaction and ergonomics which is still at a comparatively early stage of development, and the effect of this in practice is that the majority of ergonomics assignments involve research. And then there discussions difficult theories of motivation and satisfaction such as Maslow' theory and Horzberg's theory. And in this paper I'll try to formulate the logical consequences of those theories for the relation between ergonomics and satisfaction. Finally I'll conclude with some ideas about the significance of ergonomics satisfaction. The level of satisfaction experienced with one's work is a complete function of the degree to which different values connected with work and with its concomitant results are attained, the opportunities perceived for the attainment of these values, the relative advantages and disadvantages of the work situation compared with that of other people, and personality and cultural determinants. As for ergonomics, the ergonomist's comprehension will need in future to encompass more of the emotional, attitudinal and motivational facts of working people. Ergonomically - designed work will not produce high degrees of satisfaction, but absence of ergonomics in design will be connected with some dissatisfaction. So this paper suggest s that ergonomics has some significance for work satisfaction and that social Psychological efforts to enhance work satisfaction cannot easily succeed without taking into account human-factors principles.
